22/07/2025: In a word: Spectacular. Excellent cuisine. When I'm in Brindisi, I always go to La Calendula, a family-run restaurant. Chef Alessandro and his wife Teresa are wonderful people; every time I go, they make me feel at home. Excellent value for money. I recommend it.

21/07/2025: The place is still beautiful; this part of Verona is spectacular. It's a shame that's the only positive thing about it. Maybe it's okay for a drink, or to spend a couple of hours, but I'd never go back for food. A risotto with very acidic Amarone, made with cheap wine and overpriced, and an embarrassing tagliata. Nice place, shame about everything else.

02/07/2025: THE DELIGHT in a small town …. Wonderful garden, a relaxing atmosphere! If you want to eat a delicious pizza, with dough, light and easy to digest then you should definitely stop here

19/06/2025: A typical Italian trattoria. Truly delicious, simple dishes. The meat and pasta were as delicious as Grandma's. The portions are very generous, and all for a reasonable price.

17/06/2025: We had lunch here on our way to Palermo (from Catania). It is little restaurant right outside the highway. The food was excellent - grilled meat with salada and a pasta with ragu. They were fast, nice and it was really cheap (12 euros per person).

Mario che ha curato il nostro servizio è stato gentilissimo: cappellotti squisiti, di giusta quantità, secondi eccezionali. 06/07/2025: I'll start by saying that the staff is very friendly, in the sense that we were fooled for our reservation. We started with an appetizer of shrimp tartar in a cannoli, every single bite was nauseating. To say tasteless is to give it a compliment. Even though it is a mainly fish restaurant, I chose to take the only meat dish, 5 ribs from which I got 3 forkfuls of food, all 3 of which were made of cartilage. 27 euros for ribs on the bone without meat seems excessive to me, I ended up eating the bread basket because I was still hungry, at least the focaccia was good. If you think that the problem is limited to the meat since it is a fish restaurant, I will also mention the dish that my boyfriend had, a 17 euro peppered mussel dish that was made up of 6 cash mussels, which tasted only of bread and tomato. I don't want to specify the price we paid for 6 people but I strongly advise you not to go and find out.

23/07/2025: A quaint trattoria serving traditional Matera dishes. Courteous and helpful staff, a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent and the portions were absolutely generous!!! We ordered a seven-course appetizer featuring typical Matera dishes, thinking each course would be a "taster"... but in reality, each course was a truly generous meal, even for two people!!! The selection of cured meats and cheeses was also very good... Highly recommended!

21/07/2025: As a non-fish lover, I can assure you that coming here, in Puglia, is an EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE MISSED. A wide selection of products (all fresh, of course), you choose the cooking method, there's also sushi, and above all, it's COMPLETELY GLUTEN-FREE, meaning it's heaven for those with celiac disease.

25/06/2025: I was there on Sunday 22-06-2025 after my dad wanted to take us for years… I had a great time, the manager was SUPER SUPER kind and helpful. The food was excellent, I took a gnocchi with duck as a first course and veal with tuna sauce as a second course… what can I say, one better than the other, you could tell they were homemade, and the veal with tuna sauce had its amazing sauce and was cut thin, the right portions for the price it has. An experience to ABSOLUTELY DO AGAIN

15/06/2025: STAY AWAY FROM THIS "RESTAURANT". I am telling you about my experience on 06/15/2025. I booked by phone asking for the availability of bigoli, I received a positive response from the manager. I arrived on site and was greeted coldly, we explicitly ordered BIGOLI from the waiting staff, we received linguine with duck ragù. Unhappy we went to PAY (receipt not issued), and politely explained my discomfort for not having received the desired food, I added that they thought I was a foreigner and could have brought me any type of pasta. I added that I would never return there (always politely). The owner told me: "Go away", I got pissed off and I sent him outside to discuss face to face. The RABBIT 🐰 🐰 🐰, ran away to the kitchen. Human pettiness. Her collaborator and accomplice, mortified on the surface, adds: "We thought it was the same to have linguine instead of bigolo". Finally she didn't want to make me pay, I insist, I pay and I put a VERY BLACK cross. Cover charge: €3, Location not up to the mark for such a request. TO BE AVOIDED ABSOLUTELY.
