10/05/2025: Siamo stati ieri sera a cena ed è stata una bellissima esperienza. Gli addetti alla sala professionali ed estremamente cortesi. Ambiente chic e tranquillo. La qualità del cibo è di altissima qualità, accostamenti che lasciano in bocca sapori unici. E che dire del graditissimo saluto che lo chef Tomei riserva agli ospiti all'uscita. Serata unica.

27/04/2025: Serata del 25 Aprile, ovviamente molto calma, il nostro tavolo di 4 persone piu un altro tavolo di 2 persone. Atmosfera molto tranquilla e accoglimento molto professionale. Ci siamo seduti davanti al camino e abbiamo avuto a nostra disposizione 2 camerieri molto premurosi dopo la visita di quello che presumo fosse il titolare che ci ha illustrato il meno e preso le scelte. Da sotto lineare che siccome il nostro tavolo era composto di 3 persone di lingua inglese i camerieri sono stati molto bravi nell'esposizione e spiegazione dei piatti in Inglese ed anche il menu ci e' stato fornito in inglese, nulla da eccepire. Abbiamo tutti optato per il menu Habitat ed essendoci stata offerta l'opzione di sostituire una portata abbiamo tutti escluso la Lievre en Crute ed abbiamo optato per le Lumache nel Verde. Due dei nostri commensali hanno optato per l'opzione Wine Pairing, gli altri 2 commensali hanno optato per un calice di Alta Langa. I 3 antipasti si sono rilevati unici e molto gustosi, li consiglierei a tutti in quanto sono piatti diversi che non si mangiano sovente, ottima la presentazione, l'accopiamento degli ingredienti ed il gusto. Il primo piatto Dischi Volanti (Castelmagno, Fieno e Chartreuse) non lo raccomanderei a nessuno. La pasta era appena tiepida, il gusto amaro e forte, 2 dei commensali hanno appena assaggiato e gli altri 2 ne hanno lasciato la meta'. Ovviamente e' stato notato e ci e' stato chiesto se non era piaciuto ed abbiamo risposto che cosi era e ci e' stata offerta la possibilita' di un'alternativa ma abbiamo gentilemente ringraziato e declinato. Il secondo piatto Indivia Riccia e' molto povero e l'unico gusto che ho assaporato e quello di una verdura sfilacciata con un sugo di carne, non la raccomanderei a nessuno, la porzione e' molto limitata e considerando che a nessuno dei commensali e' piaciuto la scarsa porzione e' stata d'aiuto. Il dolce finale ha un sapore fresco ma sicuramente non un ricordo memorabile. Con cio detto la cosa che piu' e' dispiaciuta e' stato il Wine Pairing. Non e' stato presentata una scelta dei famosi del piemonte tipo Barolo o Barbaresco, onestamente non ricodo tutti i vini se non il Dolcetto ed il Sangiovese sicuramente non due vini memorabili, non raccomanderei a nessuno di fidarsi di questa opzione, sicuramente il Wine Pairing e' stata una scelta molto sbagliata e da un ristorante di questo livello ci siaspetta molto di piu, il margine che il ristorante ne ricava e' sicuramnte molto elevato offrendo questi vini. Devo ripetere che il personale e' stato molto professionale ed attento e a loro darei un 9, al cibo uno 5 scarso e ai vini un 4. La qualita' prezzo sicuramente lascia molto a desiderare e onestamente non penso che tornero' preso a fare visita.

19/06/2025: Beautiful outdoor setting, we had fun, ate great food and enjoyed the atmosphere, polenta was a bit too salty for our taste but the ribs were excellent. The octopus was well grilled, the foccacia was perfect and the pasta was also delicious. A bit pricey but definitely worth a try.

Ottima anche la carne dalla tagliata alle cotolette di agnello. Il personale molto simpatico e professionale . Ci è stato consigliato da amici e nostra volta lo consiglieremo anche noi

Too bad there was no availability on the terrace and so we had to dine at a table facing the wall overlooking the main street. We tasted among others a cutting board of Sardinian cheeses, good but not too assorted. A roasted stuffed squid and a really good roasted octopus. The price was honest compared to the quality of the dishes.

30/06/2025: Our dining experience here was slightly below average and I was hoping for better. Our guest of honor ordered the lamb chop, which was overcooked and tough. We arrived for dinner right at opening time, which may have contributed to some preparation issues and a late waiter showing up to work to serve guests. The owner initially took care of us and was very friendly and polite. However, the owner's great personality did not make up for the cold steaks, overcooked and tough lamb, and flat and flavorless Spritz. My advice is to not arrive at opening time as the restaurant and kitchen may not be ready for a full meal.

03/07/2025: Quiet, convenient spot near the station — it was perfect while waiting for our car pickup. They kindly let us put our luggage in the front, which was nice. The bruschetta was okay, but the carbonara was creamy (slightly salty in my opinion), and the tortellini al ragù was tasty. Good meal, if you looking for something easy and quick!
02/07/2025: (English) I found the food at this restaurant quite disappointing and believe it’s significantly overrated. I was drawn in La Grotta Di Leo by glowing reviews, which led me to dine here, and being in Italy, I was hoping for authentic, traditional recipes. On my first visit, I ordered the carbonara and a T-bone steak. The carbonara was underwhelming and passable at best—lacking the firmness and texture I’ve enjoyed in other establishments. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. As for the T-bone, aside from an excess of myoglobin on the plate, it lacked the robust, savory flavor I associate with a well-prepared steak, suggesting the seasoning or preparation missed the mark. I returned the next day, mainly because the location was convenient to my accommodation. The waitstaff greeted me warmly, which I appreciated. That time I ordered the spaghetti all’Amatriciana, a dish that traditionally includes just tomato sauce, guanciale, Pecorino Romano, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, dry white wine, and salt. The menu simply listed “tomato, bacon” as the ingredients, so I assumed it would be close to the classic version. However, when the dish arrived, it included noticeable amounts of garlic and large chunks of onion pieces—ingredients not listed on the menu and not typically part of the traditional recipe. The bacon was also too soft for my liking. When I asked a waiter whether the dish was prepared correctly, he took my plate over to his superior without saying anything and returned without an explanation. The interaction left a strange impression. When I asked another staff member who had taken my order, she replied dismissively that “every restaurant has its own recipes.” I wasn’t demanding a culinary lecture—I simply felt that if non-traditional ingredients like garlic and onion are included, they should be clearly listed on the menu. Overall, my experience didn’t live up to the culinary standards I had hoped for in Italy, especially Florence. The restaurant has potential, but the execution and adherence to authentic recipes left much to be desired. This became a memorable part of my trip, but for all the wrong reasons.
