12/10/2025: Our hotel recommended this pizzeria in Milan. Pizza good, salad mediocre, dessert bad. Overall price outrageous. I suspect they are taking advantage of tourists. If you are not Italian, ask for an itemized bill before paying!

10/10/2025: My favorite pizzeria, always fresh and delicious ingredients, 1950s-style decor with photos of Milan from back then. The owners, as well as the waiters, are always very kind and courteous. I highly recommend it.

We're treated well and pampered here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always available to explain the dishes being served. Coming back is always a pleasure for the palate and the heart. 08/10/2025: First of all, this restaurant is very good for Russian speakers because the waitress speaks Russian (I think she's Ukrainian according to the flag on the wall). The other thing is that the food is ordinary: the Bolognese, the tuna, the fritto misto di giorno are Roman-style squid🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️Where "misto" got lost, I don't know🤷🏽‍♀️I'm not satisfied with this restaurant. I have the feeling that I paid for something I didn't want... The tastes are ordinary, like the presentation. The waiters are good (I hope it wasn't the waitress's mistake with the squid dish), the atmosphere (in October 2025) was quiet, without noise, and we liked it.

It's clear that the chef and his team know their stuff, with dishes that showcase the flavors and ingredients. ​However, it's in the dining room that the magical, secret ingredient of this place comes into play: Elena and Antonio. ​From the first moment, they make you feel at ease, as if you were at the home of old friends. Antonio stands out for his innate charm combined with impeccable professionalism, expertly guiding you through your choices. Elena, originally from Naples, has that extra something: not only is she welcoming and spontaneous, but she also stands out for her great professionalism and expert service, which greatly enrich the customer experience. ​Highly recommended for those looking not only for excellent food, but also for a warm welcome and high-quality service! 18/09/2025: We dine here as we stay at the Gran Paradiso hotel. It is in the same level with the hotel lobby. Service and atmosphere are excellent, waiters were attentive and fast eventhough we were not speaking Italian. Food are just okay to our liking. Beers are nice.

19/10/2025: On this beautiful sunny day, we took a tour and stopped in Buggiano Castello...then for lunch we came to this restaurant...a stunning panoramic view...rustic and well-kept atmosphere...traditional Tuscan dishes with a slightly revisited twist...friendly service with extreme kindness in serving the dishes...well-combined and tasty dishes...the fillet I ate was cooked to perfection...prices are average for the area...definitely worth trying...we'll be back...

04/11/2025: We ate well, the service was average for a restaurant of this caliber, the portions were a bit small, and the quality/quantity/price ratio was a bit low. Someone at my table chuckled and said they might pop into McDonald's on the way home, and that, in my opinion, shouldn't happen after a €60-a-person meal.

07/10/2025: As an "expat" from Campania here in Alba, it's normal for me to have fairly high standards when it comes to pizza. Yet I've never been dissatisfied at La Duchessa. Their pizza is excellent, with excellent dough and excellent cooking. They're generous with the toppings, and they have a varied menu, from classic pizzas to more unusual ones. The staff works incredibly hard (especially during peak season) but always maintains a remarkable friendliness, despite the volume of work. The atmosphere is a bit noisy when the place is full, both inside and out, but nothing serious. The prices are very fair considering we're in the north; you can't expect pizza to be the same as in Naples or Salerno (and even there, prices skyrocket in some places). All in all, an excellent place with a family atmosphere; I'll gladly return again.
