14/01/2026: Let's start with the dishes: the pasta is all handmade, from tagliatelle to gnocchi, and if you have a refined palate, you'll notice. The meat ragù is amazing, just like our mothers and grandmothers used to make (the Vergare of the 1950s and '60s). A time machine of flavors. The fried meat Marchigiana style with cutlets, the lamb, the cremini mushrooms, the Ascoli olives, the delicious and light zucchini flowers. Even the chicken al Potacchio is mouth-watering. But the curious thing is that the one who cooks to perfection at "La Vedova" is Svetlana, a formal and corpulent Russian woman, who remained that way after losing her Italian husband. Her mother-in-law taught her daughter-in-law how to cook Marchigiana cuisine. And she has passed the reins of the restaurant on. The service is naive and original. The atmosphere is that of the old Osterias of yesteryear. Don't expect luxury and modern furnishings. That's precisely the beauty of it. A restaurant with two small, separate rooms. There are two entrances. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you're at Frittole. There are just a few tables, a bit close together. But the important thing was the good food, which is what matters most:

23/02/2026: Grumpy waiter, when we asked for a platter they told us that it's not a place that does things of this kind and up to that point it was fine, the funny thing is that he didn't offer us anything else, he brought us the menu, and then left quite annoyed... we received the "aperitivo" with drinks, peanuts, olives, lupini beans and a shaving of Parmesan each... you're in a super strategic place, you could do much more, too bad...

18/02/2026: Bar, trattoria, as described, perhaps more of a typical Ancona bar, where friends and workers from the area often meet. Well-known in the area, although not exactly central, it's close to the station, located on the ground floor (Piazza Ugo Bassi) on the way to Palombare. Some people haven't been happy with the food served, but I repeat, it's more of a bar than a trattoria!

03/04/2026: Don't be fooled by the low rating, which is likely due to the longer-than-average wait time due to the fresh preparation of the dishes! The food is very tasty, especially the seafood! I haven't eaten such good food at such an affordable price recently while in Valencia, or in my native Krakow or Warsaw!

28/08/2025: The location is truly unique; it feels like being in the mountains, in the middle of the woods. The girl who served us was lovely, kind, and very professional; the service was fast and impeccable. The quality of the pizzas and desserts was exquisite. A very positive experience to share with friends and family. I highly recommend it.

30/05/2026: Excellent self-service restaurant, pizzeria, and hamburger joint in Fabriano's commercial district. Convenient parking is available in the nearby square. A wide selection of dishes and drinks, with three first and three second courses every day, and numerous side dishes, ensuring there's always something new to choose from. Friendly staff. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and bright, decorated in a pleasant, modern style. The noise level is very low, encouraging conversation. What can I say? We used it for a working week in Fabriano and had a great time. Recommended.

25/04/2026: This place isn't close to Fabriano's city center, but it serves excellent pizza and fried food in a simple yet welcoming atmosphere. Gluten-free options available.
