22/03/2026: They had me dine in a room with a wood-burning fireplace; "that alone is worth the price of admission." Delicious food; compliments to the kitchen. The waiter, Carlo, was very attentive and helpful. Bravo to everyone, and highly recommended.

11/05/2026: At the base of the castle is a charming, lively historic village, filled with small hotels, shops selling many local products, bars, and restaurants offering a variety of traditional local dishes. While the Rocca di Gradara sits at the top of the hill, it is an imposing fortress castle, which, according to legend, was the setting for the tragic love affair between Paolo and Francesca, as narrated by Dante in the Divine Comedy. The castle is certainly beautiful, well-preserved, and organized, with friendly and helpful staff. It has an elevator for wheelchair access, and spotlessly clean bathrooms. It has numerous rooms open to visitors, furnished with furniture from various periods, artwork, frescoes, weapons, and more. I visited in May, and fortunately, it wasn't crowded. I found parking near the village entrance for €1.50 an hour or €7 for the day. The ticket I bought was a combination ticket for the Ducal Palace of Urbino for €16, but we discovered that there was also the option of taking a walk along the fortress walls on site (combined Ducal Palace Urbino + Rocca Gradara €16), while the full combination was €18. We had overlooked this detail, so it's worth considering because it's convenient for those like us coming from Urbino. In any case, on site, the ticket for visiting the fortress is €10, the Camminamento di Ronda (walk along the walls) is €4, and the combined ticket is €12. There's plenty of dining to choose from, with something for every budget. Visiting the castle takes approximately 1-1.5 hours, but it'll take up the morning if you take the walk and wander the village streets, which I highly recommend as it's worth it.

30/05/2026: I was passing through on a bike tour and had some Adriatic spaghetti. It was a sublime experience, delicious. The staff and location were perfect. Cost with cover charge and a bottle of water was €17.50. If I go back, I'll have more.

11/04/2026: One of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed, and I'm not just talking about aesthetics. Surrounded by greenery, with plenty of places to truly relax. We slept in barrels, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The food is incredible: everything vegan, delicious, and carefully prepared. 21/12/2025: If you're looking for a pub where attention to detail makes all the difference, New Dreams is the place to be. The burgers are spectacular, made with select local ingredients, and the beer list is extensive and varied. The welcome is warm and the staff are always on point. An excellent experience with a perfectly reasonable bill. Highly recommended!
