18/05/2026: A great stop after hiking the Monte Muggio loop. A plate of taragna polenta with mushrooms and penne with venison sauce were delicious. The berry tart was also excellent. The welcome was excellent, the atmosphere was also worth a visit.

16/05/2026: Great little takeaway spot. A couple of seats at a bar if you want to eat in. The guy serving was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. The margarita was second to none. Less is more. Very cheap and worth a visit

Plus, the prices are very affordable, which makes the experience even better. We really enjoyed it! 🍕 If you're looking for a place to eat quickly, with quality food that won't break the bank, this is perfect. Honestly, it's a great find that we highly recommend!

17/05/2026: I had a really great time at Crotto. It was a lovely lunch; we ate very well, and everything was delicious. I especially liked the fact that it's a traditional, recognizable place, with cuisine that still retains a very authentic feel. One thing that particularly struck me were the desserts: you can taste that they're homemade and reflect local artisanal production. Places like this are becoming rarer these days, so when you come across them, it's a real pleasure, especially if you discover them somewhat by chance, as we did. The terrace was also very nice. We were lucky because it was a beautiful day, with a perfect temperature, and that made lunch even more enjoyable. We also made friends with the waitress—I think she was the head waiter—who was very friendly and made us feel at ease throughout the meal. A truly positive experience. For anyone passing through, it's definitely a place to stop for a relaxed lunch.

17/05/2026: Had a wonderful dinner at Il Crotto. We called to make a reservation for dinner around lunchtime and the restaurant was so accommodating! We also asked if we could bring our dog and they said they would “prepare some water” for her. How sweet!! Dinner itself was delicious, we had a great wine recommendation to go with our T-bone steak (highly recommend this menu item) and then a delicious dessert and some sweet wine on the house. You should definitely visit if you’re in Lierna or the surrounding area!

12/04/2026: We chose this farmhouse to celebrate our son Edoardo's First Communion, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming and refined, immersed in a peaceful and authentic setting. The lunch was truly excellent: carefully prepared dishes, authentic flavors, and great attention to presentation. 05/04/2026: An oasis of peace just 50 minutes from Milan. An enchanting place. What makes it so is the surrounding wooded landscape, the silence, the well-maintained and renovated stone buildings, the helpful and kind staff, the organization, and, why not, the absolutely fair price. I recommend everyone to visit; I will definitely return.

20/05/2026: Small but very friendly atmosphere...truly excellent pizzas and quality products. It has a few tables for about 10-12 people. Very clean environment.... I recommend it.

20/05/2026: The pizzas are amazing; we ate there every night of our five-day vacation. The pizzas are very good, the prices are reasonable, and everything was ready in 15 minutes. They were also very patient with us as we tried to practice our Italian.

01/06/2026: Historic restaurant on the riverfront. The risotto was salty, the rib eye was tasty but not tender. Portions were generous. I recommend the boiled meats. Prices are moderately high. This historic restaurant is a victim of its own success.

31/05/2026: A polite and calm welcome would be enough to make this place top-notch. Fortunately, the table service is good, the food, and the value for money are perfect. However, the overbearing and arrogant owner urgently needs to take a meditation course, take some nerve pills, and retake her "welcome" module at hotel school because she shamelessly operates at sub-zero temperatures. What a shame. Being friendly to guests costs nothing and would benefit everyone.

03/05/2026: After a few attempts, we finally managed to get in for lunch. The place is enchanting, with meticulous attention to detail. The dishes are carefully crafted, refined, and made with locally sourced mountain produce, all delicious. In addition to the flavors and attention to detail, the service is very welcoming and warm. Kudos to the chef and owner Pietro and his mother Giovanna, wonderful people. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back. Price: about €45 per person, including 4 appetizers, 3 first courses, a second course, a side dish, ½ bottle of wine, 3 bottles of water, 4 coffees, and 4 liqueurs. I'll add one more thing: their mountain pine grappa is out of this world! They also have an excellent selection of wines, spirits, and liqueurs.

02/02/2026: The four of us went to Locanda Colle Di Sogno and we highly recommend it. The restaurant is incredibly charming, and the interior is wonderfully cozy with a fireplace that provides excellent warmth in this cold weather. We ordered several platters. The waiter gave us a great recommendation since I don't eat meat, and we ordered a cheese platter and a platter with a mix of cheeses and cured meats for my friends. The cheeses were absolutely delicious, truly top-notch in terms of quality and variety. If you're a cheese lover, go without hesitation. The Taleggio was so flavorful, a real favorite. They even sell it! My friends enjoyed the cheese as much as the varied and flavorful cured meats. I loved the pickles; I could have eaten them endlessly, they were so good! The bread that comes with them is amazing, especially the small, incredibly soft rolls. I'm a French person, picky and strict, and this really impressed me. It immediately set the mood for the rest of the meal. I want to emphasize that all the appetizers and main courses were very well prepared, and it showed. I tried the pizzoccheri for the first time, and it didn't win me over, but that's just based on my personal taste, unfortunately. My friends really enjoyed it, and I could definitely tell it was well-prepared. Unsurprisingly, I wasn't convinced by the polenta, which contains the same ingredients as the pizzoccheri. It was definitely well-made, I have no doubt, and my friends loved it. The casoncelli alla bergamasca and the dish with cooked meat were a complete success! The butter sauce on the casoncelli was delicious, and the casoncelli themselves were excellent with a great filling. The meat was tender and the sauce was just as good. The portions were incredibly generous. We were completely full, and we even had room for dessert, which looked amazing, especially the crostata with blueberry jam. The desserts were also homemade, which made them incredibly tempting. We ordered macchiatos and even got some super buttery little biscuits. The service was impeccable, incredibly attentive and warm – a big thank you to the staff. We highly recommend this place, for the menu, the service, and the very attractive prices.
