10/10/2025: Great restaurant that clearly takes pride in their food. Lovely retro vibe inside. Service old fashioned which I liked. Food was tasty and plentiful. Homemade pasta lovely and fresh, beef carpaccio and salmon tartare were excellent, pork with porcini to die for. Dessert were especially good and lovingly prepared. Wines we tried were superb. Hosts were clearly enjoying hosting which is always a plus. Best in Lierna and not just because of food which is amazing but the whole experience. I went away happy and smiling twice. Grazie mille

17/10/2025: You have to go there. The excellence of Greek cuisine is beyond words. The owner is a wonderful person. It's not a traditional restaurant, but a spartan space with no pretensions.

15/09/2025: Hidden in a small, forgotten village, we found this fantastic inn. A few well-executed details and a wonderful (and very fast) service team. Traditional prices, priceless view. Truly a wonderful find for mountain lovers.

02/10/2025: After a two-hour climb, you either pass it and don't know what you're missing, or you stop and then... Then you just have to admire the landscape and head back down. Pizzoccheri, braised beef, porcini mushroom stew, and boiled meat with polenta. Cheeses, sweets, and bitters. What more can I say? It's a must-try.

19/10/2025: WITHOUT EVEN SETTING FOOT IN THE PLACE. My boyfriend and I were looking at the menu located at the edge of the restaurant, between the tables and the small square. We kissed (ONE) and continued looking at the menu. The owner, standing outside the door in the distance, arrogantly yelled, "Stop making out, we're working here." We absolutely ran away from this character, and even though we were planning on eating there, it didn't take us two seconds to change our minds. Some passersby, seeing the scene, started off with a "how to scare people away" argument, and we completely agreed. An unprofessional and unintelligent move. Let's be honest, let's be honest.

18/10/2025: Friendly service, meals in less than 10 minutes. We stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a good restaurant while visiting Lecco, and it turned out to be a bull's-eye ;) Carbonara 5*, Lasagna 5*, Ravioli 5*, Campana 5*

05/10/2025: We enjoyed this restaurant so much the first time, we went back three nights later. The level of service was exceptional, the food outstanding, all in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We especially enjoyed our carpaccio.

04/10/2025: Recommended by a friend. Lunch for the first time today. The atmosphere is simple but welcoming, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is top-notch. We've satisfied our craving for the bollito misto... fabulous. Next time, we'll try the roast meat cart. Price... very fair.

06/10/2025: A landmark. The salted butter and spectacular appetizers. Osteria Il Camino is located at Via Provinciale 33, Ballabio (LC), not far from the exit of the tunnel that connects the Lario road with the climb to Valsassina—making it the perfect stop for a gourmet meal when heading up into the mountains. The restaurant presents itself as a reimagined traditional mountain restaurant: natural materials, wood and stone, warm walls, a large fireplace that gives the place its name and character, and a spacious dining room that manages to maintain a rustic yet elegant intimacy. In warmer seasons, there's also a terrace for those who prefer to eat al fresco. In short, the atmosphere exudes a sense of familiarity with style: it's not a "rough cabin," but a space where every detail—lighting, materials, table layout—is carefully considered. Il Camino's culinary philosophy is clearly local, featuring mountain dishes, reinterpretations of local classics, and a few forays into lakeside tradition.  The chef (and sommelier) is Pietro Agostani, a young and passionate man who also oversees the restaurant's wine selection.

25/09/2025: Well-kept and clean place, good service, good food too (perhaps the portions are a little small), anyway good value for money.

05/09/2025: A beautiful restaurant with a fantastic view. We arrived early in the evening with our dog without a reservation and were greeted warmly. The food was delicious and served quickly. The menu is available in three languages ​​(Italian, English, and German), so you can't go wrong.
