30/12/2025: I had lunch there with friends, their customers, and I was surprised that despite the simple atmosphere, I found exceptional cuisine, fresh and delicious products, typical Ligurian dishes, which I had never tasted before and which I greatly appreciated, especially the appetizers, portions just right for enjoying everything right up to the desserts. I recommend Trattoria da Maria to all foodies, the owners, whom I thank, are efficient and friendly, we will definitely return.
17/09/2025: They bring you seemingly endless dishes, all excellent, at a reasonable price. Even though we were full, we could have had more desserts.

09/01/2026: Typically, you shouldn't give too many stars to special places, lest you ruin their magic.
However, this place and its owners deserve an exception to the rule.
The atmosphere, the warmth, the food, and the drinks are all worthy of a 5-star rating.
We'll extend our stay in Diano Marina so we can return tomorrow.

The perfect place for an aperitif.
The interior is small but very welcoming and well-decorated. Book in advance!
Very friendly staff
Wide selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
The appetizers are well-presented and excellent.

02/01/2026: Excellent quality ingredients. The dishes are carefully crafted and cooked to perfection. I had the grilled calamari, which was cooked to perfection. It was a wonderful discovery, and I'll definitely be back. Top service! The desserts are also delicious. Well done, and thank you for your availability and courtesy.

02/01/2026: A very negative experience for New Year's Eve dinner: the room was cold and filled with icy drafts, the menu was quite poor compared to the bill and poorly executed by the kitchen, the musical entertainment was subpar, incredibly lacking even the midnight countdown and the customary toast! Shameful...the only positive note was the service.

06/01/2026: An extraordinary restaurant where we dined two evenings, including New Year's Eve. We discovered a succulent lamb with artichokes, so delicious you'd lick your fingers! A restaurant not to be missed if you're visiting the Roya Valley. Book in advance.

The coffee and cappuccino are very good and the pastries are delicious. Nice terrace but too many smokers, which is a shame.
26/12/2025: Great gluten free cakes. Separate casing to avoid cross contamination. My favorite was the nut cake. Tiramisu in a cup available. Cakes have to be left out in room temperature for 1 hour to thaw before enjoying.

18/01/2026: Disastrous experience. Intrusive and annoying staff, ridiculous wait times even after repeated reminders. The dishes took forever to arrive, and the quality was terrible: subpar udon noodles, poorly cooked and tasteless. It was also unacceptable that some dishes were served spicy without being requested. Total lack of customer service. Dinner ruined. Absolutely avoid.
17/01/2026: From the outside, it looks like a dated restaurant, but believe me, it's worth going in and tasting all the delicacies they prepare every day. Each dish is better than the next, everything is fantastic. Unlike many other restaurants of this kind, everything is made by them, and the difference is evident in every dish.
A family-run business where the parents cook and the daughters welcome you with a big smile and lots of patience.
Congratulations, family.
Definitely our favorite place.
