Al Buco In Grottaferrata

I visited this restaurant with my wife and our dog. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and a waitress. The location is rustic and welcoming, the food is very good, but above all, what's always a pleasure is the attention to detail. The owners and waitress were attentive to every request. When we return to Grottaferrata, we'll pop into Il Buco for dinner again! VERY FAIR PRICES!

Let's start with the service, which is a bit too rigid: service starts at 8:00 PM, and if you arrive a few minutes early, you still have to wait that time to order. The Buco appetizer is good, but I would have liked a few more slices of cold cuts to accompany the buffalo mozzarella and ricotta. Personally, I would have preferred a classic fraschetta appetizer, more complete and with a little bit of everything. The pasta with truffle, porcini mushrooms, and pancetta seemed a bit bland and flavorless. Obviously, it's a matter of taste, but I would recommend choosing a different topping. The saltimbocca, on the other hand, were really good, as were the prices. The glass of wine for just €1 was also very welcome!

A traditional restaurant tucked away in the city streets. Simple, delicious dishes. The atmosphere is tranquil and makes you feel like you're dining with family. The carbonara is a must-try! Friendly and engaging staff.

Discovered by chance thanks to other reviews, we booked and entered practically at the evening opening... We were welcomed very warmly by the kindness and professionalism of the owner, his wife, and the waitress, who made us feel at home and helped us settle in, since my wife and I were with my mother and mother-in-law, both elderly, and my mother-in-law is unsteady on her feet and has problems with D.S.... And I must say that everyone went out of their way to help us not feel in the least uncomfortable. The food was all excellent, with exceptional raw materials and treated very well, from the appetizer, to the wine, and the desserts. The dish that struck me most for its balance of flavors and freshness was the first course based on tonnarelli prepared with buffalo mozzarella, courgette flowers, and anchovies. A wonderful discovery that truly gave me pleasure... The bill was also excellent, not at all expensive. I will definitely return to try the other dishes and experience the beautiful atmosphere...

A restaurant serving home-style, traditional Roman cuisine—you won't find a better meal there! The service was excellent and very attentive. They recommended the coda alla vaccinara, with its spectacular tomato sauce, accompanied by a delicious Roman-style artichoke, as well as the classic carbonara and amatriciana, which I highly recommend. A must-visit in Grottaferrata!

Fantastic place, excellent food, polite and helpful staff. Mr. Alessandro, the owner, is very kind and goes around the tables offering information about the menu, which I'd say is very nice. It's not for everyone.
