07/03/2025: Pranzo al ristorante ospiti dei nostri fornitori, antipasti di salumi e un tortino di verdure e scamorza, come piatto principale dei tonnarelli con burro e acciughe con polvere di mandarino.. non una combinazione che mi abbia particolarmente colpito, l'acciuga non si sentiva..

30/04/2025: Bassiano è un borgo medievale carinissimo e che vale assolutamente di visitare anche per far incetta del famoso prosciutto di Bassiano (ma anche degli altri splendidi insaccati) dal più rinomato produttore locale, direttamente in sede. Il Castagno è un ampio ristorante sito in uno chalet alle pendici del borgo, tradizionale nell'ambientazione. Si tratta per lo più anche di cucina tradizionale locale, che utilizza materie prime eccellenti e interpreta i piatti con eleganza (da rilevare la scelta di stoviglie di livello) anche con un bell'impiattamento. Segnalo gli strepitosi Mazzalardi al ragù di maiale (specie di corti strozzapreti acqua e farina, con un sugo "tirato" e una carne morbidissima, segno di lunga e amorevole cottura) e gli gnocchetti di ricotta e carciofi arrostiti (deliziosi). Il bel coccio di Faraona (arrostita sapientemente ed estremamente gustosa) mi aveva inizialmente lasciato perplesso per la scelta di servire il volatile appunto in un coccio che impedisce di tagliare bene la carne e induce a servirsi delle mani (ma d'altro canto anche se non sarà perfettamente in linea con il bon ton, cosa c'è di meglio di spolparla con le mani?): poi ho capito. La scelta è azzeccatissima perchè il coccio mantiene la pietanza estremamente calda sino alla fine dell'ultimo boccone. Quindi anche questo alla fine è apprezzabile. Ampia la lista dei vini che ha anche alcune etichette locali con buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Il conto mi è sembrato molto onesto ed il servizio gentile, rapido e puntuale. Altra cosa degna di nota: il pecorino per i Mazzalardi non mi è stato fornito in una formaggiera ma come tocco di formaggio da grattugiare direttamente con la piccola grattugia serviti su una piastrella di ardesia. Insomma un posto che bada alla sostanza ma anche all'apparenza nella scia di una tradizione culinaria che val la pena di conoscere ed approfondire.

26/04/2025: Eccellente Un ristorante eccellente che usa un'ottima materia prima e la valorizza attraverso la costruzione di piatti ben fatti, ben preparati e presentati. Il servizio è rapido, cortese, efficiente. Il gestore ci ha accolto con un grande sorriso trovandoci posto nonostante non avessimo prenotato e il locale fosse affollato, un comportamento che fa sentire il cliente sempre benvoluto e che ormai non è da tutti. Bravi in cucina, tra l'altro quasi a vista e molto pulita nonostante l'affollamento del locale. Ci torneremo e ringraziamo per averci fatto sentire proprio bene

27/03/2025: I'm not a big fan of pizzas with a varied & imaginative top, preferring classic pizzas. Then I have already shown a fair amount of enthusiasm for round pizzas. But the POTATO CROQUETTES were a real revelation. Not the fried "mashed potatoes", but the mashed and then fried potatoes. An ecstasy!!!!!

02/03/2025: Hear, hear, hear. The best pizza by the slice in the area with trendy tops but also stunning classics. If you want to indulge yourself, like I did, a nice Roman round.

02/06/2025: Very long waits both to order and to eat. Really small portions and we ordered several dishes but all had a ridiculous amount of food. Nice only the place and the very characteristic square. I do not recommend it and I would not go back!

02/06/2025: We spent 50 euros each to eat small portions, the staff is friendly but the waiting times are too long even though we had a reservation. It is not enough to just be in a fantastic location in the historic square of Terracina!

09/03/2025: Tried it for lunch during the work week. It is a guarantee for being able to eat peacefully and work on the PC. They accept meal vouchers.

06/06/2025: A great, modern restaurant/cafe with really beautifully planted outdoor area. 👌👌 We ate excellently there today / 06.06. /7:00 PM. Very tasty spaghetti carbonara) and were served in an exemplary manner by the young waiter. He did an attentive and first-class job - Bravo 👍! We recommend a visit and will gladly come back.

02/06/2025: Not satisfied with the room, shutters on the first floor that did not lock from the outside and that banged continuously, when we returned in the evening we found ants in the room.
