A welcoming, family-friendly place with a limited menu and truly top-quality products. I ate fantastic meat, some of the best I've ever eaten.

We visited this place recently and had a pleasant experience. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was welcoming, but what really made the difference was the service. Gianni, the waiter who looked after us, was professional, attentive, and always smiling. He gave us good advice without being intrusive. We'll be back.

I had dinner at Taverna del Buttero and can say it's highly recommended. I chose the €35 fixed menu, which includes an appetizer, a first course, and a selection of meat cuts for the second course: everything was truly excellent, well-prepared, and of high-quality. The staff was super friendly, kind, and always available, helping make the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

A very characteristic location... as for the dishes, they were good, but the meat was served cold... for four people, we ordered three steaks and a fillet, two bottles of wine at 35 euros a bottle, three small side dishes, baked potatoes, and sautéed puntarella. Roasted courgettes and eggplant, and finally a small platter of cheeses and cured meats, two bottles of water, we spent 299 euros... the menu price doesn't match what we paid.

12/04/2026: We happily stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, strolling along the seafront in search of some peace and quiet from the chaos of the noisy bars. It was a wonderful evening, the staff were friendly and professional, the food delicious, and the menu truly excellent (a few dishes, with carefully selected ingredients and explosive flavors). The Paella Gaetana is a must-try, unforgettable!!!! Thank you 💕
03/01/2026: The entrance doesn't do justice to this restaurant's atmosphere, cuisine, and impeccable service. The difference was definitely made by the attentive service, which revisited the menu to accommodate my vegetarian requests, and offered a local wine and a truly delicious olive oil. If you're wandering the alleys of Gaeta, I recommend seeking out this gem!

Everything is delicious and high-quality, but the baked turbot with potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and black olives deserves a special mention.
