19/04/2026: I visited this restaurant with my family recently, recommended by friends, and it was a wonderful experience that I will definitely repeat. The food, as well as the pizza, was excellent. Both the staff and the owner were welcoming and very kind. Since I have health issues, every request I had was met with more than exemplary care. I will definitely return when I return to Valeggio. 02/04/2026: We chose this place based on the reviews, and we were on the safe side. Two of us showed up a few minutes before noon without a reservation, and they seated us without any fuss (that's already a plus). The very courteous and always smiling girls provided impeccable service. We chose two trios of tortellini, choosing them directly at the counter. Meanwhile, along with the bread and cheese toppings for the tortelli, there were also two warm and tasty meatballs. The tortelli were very, very good! Accompanied by a perfectly chilled prosecco. Wide selection of desserts and... I recommend the artisanal diplomatica, excellent! The coffee with its creamy texture, very good, was accompanied by two butter biscuits; well, the photo speaks for itself. There aren't many seats inside, but the seating isn't limited. The place is very clean, as evidenced by the shelves full of temptations ;-). The girls are great, the food is good, the place is clean, the price is €23 per person, recommended.

15/03/2026: Everything was perfect, as always. Trattoria alla Grotta is a guarantee for a romantic or business lunch. Although slightly more expensive, it's worth it. The desserts and tortellini are spectacular, as always.

24/02/2026: A magnificent place with meticulous attention to detail. The menu offers traditional dishes made with excellent ingredients. I recommend the exceptional Valeggio tortellini!

22/04/2026: You can choose between a work menu and an à la carte menu. We chose an appetizer and a trio of ravioli, both superb! The pastry is thin and the filling is fresh and plentiful, making it hard to choose which is the best. We would have also liked to buy some to take home, but unfortunately, there were no more available. The only suggestion for lunch is to go after 1:00 PM, because rightfully, those who need to get back to work quickly have priority.

28/04/2026: We had dinner with a couple of friends. The owner was welcoming and very friendly. The aperitif in the cellar was lovely, with prosecco, prosciutto, and pickles (in my opinion, they should have been replenished, as there was little or nothing left). The waitress was unprofessional; she returned the bread to our table with our own cutlery, implying that we'd eaten a lot of bread "like truck drivers." In my opinion, this was out of place. The food was excellent, especially the tagliata and the antipasti.

19/04/2026: The food was bland. I had a veggie burger with fries and a Coke. The fries were dry, not dry and soft on the inside, but dry. The bun was sweet, like a dessert. The burger was not seasoned with spices or salt. The red pepper sweetened the dish too much. The bread was bland! I also found the staff to be poorly organized and rude!

05/05/2026: We happened to be passing by Valeggio and saw the sign, and after reading a few reviews, we decided to try the homemade cuisine described. The bigoli with duck ragù and nettle ravioli were excellent. The grilled and sliced ​​meats were incredibly tender, and the kids polished them off. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

11/04/2026: My experience was very good. Lunch for two, a mixed platter and tagliatelle with Angus ragù, followed by Angus steaks and sides. What can I say, everything was delicious and the service was very efficient. This place exudes a sense of history, a place steeped in centuries-old tradition. A truly wonderful combination.
