21/07/2025: Celebrated my daughter's graduation with friends. Excellent service, professional, friendly, and very helpful staff, great prices. We'll be back. I recommend it for a lovely evening.

16/06/2025: I believe the management has changed because the photos posted don't represent the current menu. The food is all excellent quality; the bread is homemade with sourdough and is delicious. The beers are excellent and very unique. The wines are excellent. The hand-chopped tartare, the homemade roast beef, and the creamed cod are definitely worth trying. I highly recommend this cicchetteria!

20/02/2026: It took them over an hour to serve the meal. ⭐ In response to the restaurant, it's true that we were informed the service would take between 25 and 30 minutes, and we said that was fine. But no, it took over an hour. In fact, we weren't the only ones to complain about the slow service. That said, I also want to say that the food is good, and if you don't have to wait for the service, it's a good place to eat.

21/02/2026: I go there as a workers' menu, the fixed menu is always one of the best in terms of service, courtesy and quality of the dishes offered.

13/12/2025: A pleasant discovery at this restaurant, chosen by colleagues for a business dinner. A pre-arranged menu, €40/person, includes a fish dinner with a vegetarian option. Friendly and helpful staff, a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

08/10/2025: We had dinner in this half empty hotel restaurant the first Friday of October 2025. The Gaspacho was tasteless, the spaghetti al dentissimo with the accompanying little shrimps being raw, and the fritto misto di mare severely overfritted with rubberlike consistency of the calamari. Even the espresso did not taste like Italian espresso. The beautiful view from our table over the lagoon explains our second star. What a deception!

03/11/2025: I've been to this dock many times. An excellent nautical center with all the services you need. There's also a restaurant on site where you can enjoy some Chioggia specialties.

23/09/2025: After a long day of exploring Venice we had dinner at L’Osteria San Barnaba. We arrived late for our reservation, but the staff welcomed us warmly and never rushed us. I ordered the cuttlefish ink pasta, and it was extraordinary. The sauce clung to the noodles like velvet, rich and briny with the taste of the sea, faintly metallic in the best way. It even stained my tongue and fingers as I used bread to wipe up the last drops. My wife chose the homemade gnocchi in spider crab sauce, pillowy-soft dumplings bathed in a silky, flavorful sauce that she called some of the best gnocchi she’s ever had. We were there late into the night with glasses of Fratelli Brunello grappa, comparing tasting notes and enjoying the staff’s patience with my horrible Italian. Our server even smiled through my slow, deliberate attempt at a full sentence, encouraging me as if to say, “You’ve got this.” We laughed and made friends with a French couple at the next table, clinked glasses, and ended the night with a shared toast of limoncello. L’Osteria San Barnaba is the kind of place where food, wine, and warmth all come together. From the extraordinary pasta to the genuine hospitality, it’s a dinner we’ll be talking about for years.

22/09/2025: Very cosy, not too big, excellent vibes. Outside of mega tourist territory, but it's small enough that it doesn't feel touristy either way. Very coeliac friendly with very understanding staff. Gluten free pizza was decent by Italian standards and the best you've ever had by UK standards. Very affordable, good Aperol. Normal pizza was decent.

02/02/2026: Clean place, decorated with lots of movie photos. Just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square. We were two couples with children, and we ate pasta carbonara, two pizzas, and fried calamari. We enjoyed everything, and the portions were excellent. The price was normal for Venice, between 14 and 20 euros.

05/02/2026: Highly recommended, Jaa!! ❤️ The food isn't great, but it seems good to me. The service is excellent, except for Marcon Gaggio and Dese. The atmosphere is clean, beautiful, and you can breathe. There's no parking and grills. Everyone's welcome. Jaa.

01/10/2025: The restaurant is located on the road from the beach. The sign says they also offer gluten-free pizza, which we were looking forward to. We planned to have lunch or dinner here. When we got there, they told us they don't do gluten-free pizza... You can imagine the disappointment and the quick search for an alternative.
