12/07/2025: Elevated dishes, a heavy hitting wine menu and a balanced service make this restaurant a compelling option for a special evening. The terrace is definitely the place to be and offer scenic views over the canal. Food was generous in size and almost perfectly seasoned. Pre-heated plates, fresh cutlery for each course and good timing by the staff are just some of the details that make it more special. I just wished the bread was warm when they served it, but nonetheless, it was delicious.

15/06/2025: Hi everyone, I ordered a kebab to take away but unfortunately I had a terrible experience, the lady on the phone with a rude tone had not specified that the kebab was with pizza dough and I found myself having to spend a total of 11.50 for a kebab that was really disgusting with disgusting frozen meat. As soon as the kebab arrived I immediately called her back without even taking a bite telling her that it wasn't what I expected and moreover that I didn't like it but she with her arrogant way simply reiterated that she didn't know what to do. Having said that I will certainly never call again.

22/07/2025: We had a very pleasant dining experience here. We ordered campari spritz and Frito misto, the sea food was excellent and the fried carrots and zucchini were a nice touch and tasted great as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great and so was the atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

15/07/2025: We ate well for the right price. We were intrigued by the entire menu. We shared two appetizers and two main courses. The creamed pasta and Venetian-style liver were delicious.

01/07/2025: The service was very good! Several waiters were very enthusiastic. I tried the tomato juice, which actually required salt, pepper and lemon. It tasted like cold soup, which was very interesting. The cuttlefish noodles were also good. The cuttlefish was delicious, but a little salty, but it was okay with the drink.

30/06/2025: Had excellent Bruschetta and the best aglio olio peperonci ever. Service by Khan was superb. Got a free limoncello or two. Absolutely go there. Cool inside, great atmosphere, great food and friendly service. Can't ask for more. :)

30/06/2025: We've known O' Sole Mio for many years now, formerly known as "Restaurante Fuin." The food is delicious. The restaurant has truly become more upscale every year. The prices are the same. Tables are assigned according to local customs. Unfortunately, with two people, you only ever get a table along the wall, below the speakers blaring rock music. It's a bit annoying that after you've finished your order, you're always asked if you'd like a salad or bruschetta. No, otherwise I would have ordered. Of course, the idea is to generate revenue. Here, too, you're always asked if you have a reservation. For two people? The restaurant has never been and is never fully booked. Reservations certainly make sense for groups.

02/07/2025: We ate there on a recommendation. The menu was very difficult to read. So we ordered the carbonara pizza and a homemade pizza, which wasn't really our taste. Unfortunately, I had to order almost everything twice because the first waiter kept saying okay but didn't bring anything haha. Plus, there's a cutlery tax of €3 per person, which we didn't know, and it wasn't signposted in Venice, so we didn't have that in the city. The cheesecake and lemon zest were really delicious, my goodness, prepared with love, thanks to the kitchen.

14/06/2025: It seems tourists aren’t welcome. No greeting, no smile—just told to wait and speak to the owner, even though the place wasn’t that busy. When we were finally seated, we noticed a couple who arrived after us were already sat enjoying a bottle of wine. The owner eventually came over to take our order visibly annoyed and said, “Right, what do you want?” Not exactly the warmest service. After the meal, I had to take the bill inside to pay. Again, no thanks—just a cold attitude. The staff member grabbed the receipt and shoved the card machine at me like I was an inconvenience. The food was overpriced and average at best. Overall, it was a disappointing experience ruined by terrible service. Avoid.

19/06/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful culinary experience right by the sea! We ate at Ristorante Al Mare several times during our vacation at Union Lido – and were thrilled every time. The location is unbeatable: right on the beach promenade with a stunning view of the sea, especially at sunset. The food was excellent – ​​fresh pasta, delicious fish dishes, and a pizza just like you'd expect in Italy. We especially recommend the seafood platter and the homemade tiramisu. The service was friendly, attentive, and always professional, even when it was busy. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality and location. We'll definitely be back – a must for anyone vacationing at Union Lido!
