14/08/2024: A wonderful hotel that hosts unique and evocative events thanks to the uniqueness of the place

10/08/2024: It's old school in both good and bad ways. Good: The decorations are marvelous (see pics). Bad: - Only one standard EU power outlets if you don't unplug lamps. Three if you unplug lamps. The rests are all old Italian style with smaller holes. And all the power outlets are so close to the floor that we have to put devices on the ground. - The shower head is so old that the water goes in many different directions. - Wifi is too weak to be connected - Poor soundproof. Our room faces the grand canal and we can hear sounds from the ferry, people yelling, etc. Everything else is good. Nice room, great view, convenient location. Service is good too. Except I expect someone to collect our luggage at the front door for a 5-star hotel but it didn't happen. Maybe it's just an Italian tradition so I won't complain about it.

20/08/2024: Good location, excellent service! Mrs. Elena is very friendly and customer friendly! We had some cocktails, well prepared and very good. A place that I recommend to everyone.

30/08/2024: It's really delicious here. The soup of steamed vongole is excellent. The bean soup is delicious, and the seafood spaghetti is also really delicious. It's a bit difficult to find the store, but once you find it, you can enjoy the taste of a treasure. I came here twice during my trip and am very satisfied. Because it's in an alley, there aren't many tourists, so it's quiet and comfortable. This is a place I recommend to those who are tired from traveling.

25/08/2024: Mi fermo sempre volentieri a cena con la famiglia che abita in zona, pizza sottile e croccante con ingredienti scelti e abbinati per esaltarne il gusto d'insieme. Se riuscite a passare durante la settimana (non nel weekend) da provare la pizza gourmet con la tartare di gamberi! Il prezzo commisurato alla qualità dei prodotti (del resto se devo mangiare pesce crudo non scelgo a caso), in ogni caso consiglio la prenotazione, può capitare non ci sia posto e optiamo per l'asporto.

10/08/2024: Behind a pleasant terrace and the charming speech of the waiter, a most ordinary cuisine (fried Milanese escalope Mac Do) for 38€! It stings a little! Spritz 10€ even though we are 20 minutes walk from St Mark's Square! In short... Move on!

12/08/2024: Innanzitutto il Quartiere di Dorsoduro è speciale, mai affollato, mentre il locale moderno e confortevole all'interno, offre una terrazza sul Canale della Giudecca spettacolare. Detto ciò, il servizio è impeccabile, il pesce superlativo, fresco e ben servito e la voglia di ritornare tanta. Bevuto solo un calice di vino, ma ti ottima qualità e con ampia scelta. Complimenti a tutti anche per le entree offerte dallo Chef!

14/08/2024: My partner and I stumbled across this wee gem late night and ordered pizza and drinks. The service was absolutely beautiful and the pizza was delish! Totally recommend!

08/08/2024: We came to Al Gabbiano for a quick drink to escape the August heat but were met with much more.. Imran our waiter was delightful and very attentive. The frozen daiquiris are delicious, you actually get the flavour of fruit and not the overwhelming taste of rum. We didn’t intend to come for food but were enticed by the menu… I can say this honestly - it was the best ravioli I have ever had (spinach, cheese and sage butter sauce). The veal was amazing also… Recommend to everyone to try here!!! It is really reasonably priced, so a great lunch or dinner gem.

07/08/2024: Had absolutely fantastic food at the Vini da Gigio this evening. Could not rate this restaurant high enough. Pure Venetian. Food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend!! Tucked away, it comes alive at night …. A truly special night

07/08/2024: This place has been around for about 50 years serving top quality local seafood. As it stands it has gone through a transformation with the son taking over the place. Still has a buncg of seafood, pasta and steak but the focus is on unique pizza and related stuff using his own home grown various yeasts. The taste of the pizza bread is pretty much the best we ever had anywhere. Very good selection of classics and unique toppings from local burrata and tomato to homeade and super moist porchetta to local spicey salami, vegetables, you name it. The pizzas are served on long board by half a meter and up, depending how many types of toppings you want. As you can tell I am exited by this unique experience and so will you.
