01/08/2024: We literally stumbled upon Zanze XVI, a hidden gem in Venice that didn’t look like much from the outside. But as soon as we stepped inside, we were transported into a world of Venetian gastronomical excellence. We opted for the 5-course prix fixe menu, which began with an array of flavorful amuse-bouches that awakened our palates. Each small dish offered more depth and complexity than the last. As each new course arrived, our delightful hostess described the flavorful journey we were about to embark on, making the experience simply magical. Every dish was meticulously crafted to tantalize the palate, featuring fresh, local ingredients that were unfamiliar to us as non-Venetians. 13/07/2024: Absolutely honest and big recommendation. One of the best dinners of my life. I had a tasting menu with local Venetian ingredients that give me a full picture of the region and introduced me to the elegance and beauty of Venice. Everything was incredible!

28/08/2024: I ate a very well made wrap, full of meat and tasty. Other diners of mine ate pizza and burgers, even good ones. The place is very nice and has an industrial style and the waiters are friendly and helpful

01/09/2024: The food is very good, the dishes are refined and the wine selection is top notch. A little disappointed by my primi piatto (paccheri al ragu) hence the 4 stars on the Cuisine: the dish was not very generous but I am too used to gray pasta dishes perhaps

Not only the food was perfect but also very nice and attentive service that fulfilled all my expectations and have perfectly paired my wines to my dishes. The Filippo(name taken from ig, sorry had to stalk) made our night absolutely amazing. Thank you once again for your amazing hospitality

25/08/2024: We had a beautiful 5 nights stay in August 2024, we reserved through booking, but I recommend you reserve directly with the hotel. The room was very nice, clean, high quality furniture and bed, with comfortable mattress and pillows. The bathroom was clean, modern, functional. If you want towels to be taken there are instructions saying to leave them on the floor. The shampoo/shower gel & hand soap are good quality, we even bought a shower gel for 10€. The breakfast was delicious, a wide range of options and it costs 10€ / person / day (a fair price) You could choose from: omelette, ham, cheese, mozzarella, croissants (with butter and with cream/fruit fillings or pistachio filling), various fresh juice options, boiled eggs, bruschete, pancakes with various jam options or Nutella. Also, there were different cakes to choose from, freshly cut fruit, au gratin vegetables, etc. The receptionists were very helpful, giving all the necessary information to get around. A very special thanks to Denise who I could speak Dutch with, you made our stay very good, but also to all of the staff! Definitely a good option for next summer if they keep their good practices and prices.

27/08/2024: Here I ate the best grilled fish of my life!

13/08/2024: I came in, sat on the table where there were no glasses yet but only napkins, which I didn't touch. I got an important call and had to get up and tell the waiter that I couldn't eat there anymore. Before leaving, the waiter made me pay the cover charge, even though I didn't touch or use anything. Crazy stuff! I will never set foot in that place again, the thing that saddens me is that the food looked good and the smell was even worse when I entered.

05/08/2024: Perfeto, perfeto, perfeto, ma no ch'è WC qui. This place is brilliant for a light lunch; three sizes of mixed fried fish pots; various salads; polpette with aubergine & tomato; polpette with pumpkin and cheese etc. Soft drinks and many LOCAL wines ALL of which are VEGAN👍🏼. The wine is sold by the glass or by the bottle. The staff today were happy for us to use our basic Italian, but they also spoke clear English.

18/07/2024: First stop on our cicchetti tour. The fried seafood was good but the polenta was not my favorite.

28/07/2024: Great ambience and highly the best food I ever ate. I visited this restaurant with family or friends already a 5 times and freshness of the ingredients is unbelievable and taste is amazing. Products are coming from the best area of Italy and Croatia except the oysters Gillaredau which are from France and great quality too. I never met someone so knowledgeable about the food as the owner of Al Passo. Congrats 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

16/08/2024: Very nice restaurant. Pizza, calzone and pasta more than good. The service was very nice, the waiter spoke German and English. Main courses, drinks and desserts for 5 people cost about 100 euros. Everyone ate under the cork and left happy. Family atmosphere.

16/08/2024: The food was delicious, but the young waiter couldn't hear a single order. I ordered salad instead of potatoes, but I got potatoes. That's okay, the young waiter was friendly. The young waiter apologized for the late food. When paying, the old waiter was trying to clear the table quickly and I wanted some food left on the table (a basket of cookies and bread), but he just took it away. I think that's pretty unkind.

07/08/2024: Returned in August 2024. Nice, clean and well-kept environment. Courteous and well-groomed service. Good food quality with an interesting menu and wine list. Normal portion of dishes, slightly high prices. Surely we can return sometime.

28/07/2024: Fantastic rigatoni with buffalo stracciatella, confit cherry tomatoes and chopped pistachios. In general the menu is full of non-trivial proposals, including vegetarian/vegan ones. Very attentive service and pleasant environment.
