14/07/2025: We stayed at this agriturismo for only two nights, but everything was top-notch. The location is perfect for visiting the parks, the rooms, and the breakfast were all fantastic. Pasta al ragù per il bambino con all’interno un filo di metallo probabilmente lasciato da qualche spugna usata per lavare le pentole, visto ad occhio nudo appena portato il piatto. Tagliatelle con spezzato di manzo immangiabili, l’unico gusto che si sentiva era il rosmarino. Pasta scotta. Gnocchi al ragu’ d’anatra dove il ragù in realtà era mantecato. Petto d’anatra dove l’unico gusto che si sentiva era la salsa che sovrastava qualsiasi altro sapore. 110 euro in 3 per aver mangiato in modo terribile. A mai più!

16/07/2026: My friend was told to go home and change because he wasn’t wearing long sleeves. He wasn’t even in the restaurant yet, he was in the adjoining bar at the hotel. He explained he was with a dinner party for a birthday and they told him he wasn’t allowed in. This was absurd because there was a family sitting behind us with all the children wearing graphic tshirts and very casual street wear. The kids were also running around their table, playing and screaming, and had tablets and iPads out on the table. They seemed to be given special treatment. There was another couple next to us with a guy wearing a backwards hat. The double standard was ridiculous and discriminatory. And because of the delay we had to wait 25 mins to order for my friend to return from his hotel, and then it was too late to do the chefs tasting because it was 9min past their last call. Would we have been seated on time, then there would not have been an issue. Additionally, they forgot someone’s after dinner cocktail and when I asked for it and then they brought out the wrong drink for my friendand then also ordered me one because I was the one who asked the waiter about the missing drink so essentially we were charged for 2 drinks,1 that we didn’t order and the other that was the wrong drink. We were also waiting around for the check after we had asked for it after the drink dilemma, and they came over and told us we needed to leave and that the restaurant was closing and we responded that we had been waiting for the check. And the same family behind us was the only table still in the restaurant and they were not asked to leave or given their check after we walked out. For the amount of money we spent on that dinner, the service and treatment was atrocious. Venice is known for having hatred towards tourists and it definitely showed. Mind you, this was my birthday dinner and it was my least favorite meal of the whole trip. I also only booked this restaurant for sitting on the terrace. I understood it was weather permitting. It rained between 630-8 and our reservation was at 9 and we were not permitted to be seated outside, nor informed that we were being relocated inside. Which was a specific request I had to asked because I wanted the ambiance of the grand canal.

14/07/2026: What a lovely find in Rio Terrà dei Catecumeni. I stopped here for a quick bite and was truly impressed by the quality. The sandwich was incredibly fresh, made with crisp lettuce and simple but excellent ingredients. The flower-shaped biscuit was also delicious, perfect with my coffee. I highly recommend stopping in this corner of Venice for a casual lunch overlooking the lagoon. I'll definitely be back.
