21/09/2025: The wait was moderately long, despite the waiter slaloming between the tables and the kitchen (which I personally found a bit annoying). The manager doesn't understand a word of English, and overall, we weren't entirely satisfied with the food and service. It's clear that friendliness isn't the order of the day.

02/09/2025: I'm giving only one star to the atmosphere because it shouldn't affect the total; it's not assessable. The place is owned by the municipality, and the management changes. The food is truly shameful: €15 for a cutlet and fries, inedible, tough, and bad-tasting meat; €7.50 for a pre-cooked piadina, a water, and a Coke, for a total of €30.50. Make up your own minds, because €8 for a half-liter plastic bottle of water and a can of Coke is a rip-off. The whole thing is run by two people, with a place where you'd find full tables that needed clearing, a line of ten people at the cash register, and people sitting around waiting. Management isn't up to par. It's a classic tourist trap, to say the least. They charge one euro to use the bathroom, which is dirty and has no paper. As they say... I like the first one, but not the second one.

20/01/2026: The hotel is at the end of its life, everything is falling apart, it doesn't work. The heating in the bathroom only works at full power, and the rooms have some strange, very humming air conditioning. The wellness is absolutely terrible, the Finnish sauna is only heated to 50C, the jacuzzi was about 5C, so we didn't even go in it. The highlight was the rusty loungers, so much so that you could cut yourself on the corroded structures. If you are looking for a hotel with wellness, you'd better not go here, because it's like there isn't one. About the beds at all - we hardly slept in the whole week, they creaked and were uncomfortable. So that it wasn't just about criticism, they cooked quite well and the location of the hotel is simply wonderful for someone looking for peace. Unfortunately, the peace is missing that the door to the room is like paper, so you hear absolutely everything that happens in the hallway and in the next rooms, and when there is a noisier party, there is no peace. The staff was nice (especially the waiters), but the lady at the reception upon arrival had no idea how to get to the ski slope (after a 2-minute tour right next to the hotel, about 300m on skis). We didn't expect much, but unfortunately the hotel was even worse than we expected. We have been to Tonale several times and this is the only hotel we will definitely not return to.

16/08/2025: Prices weren't clearly displayed: two euros for a coffee, and they also charge you for a glass of water. We didn't receive a receipt, so we had to explicitly request one.

23/01/2025: I had already been to this place a few years ago, and I liked it. But last night I probably ran into an unlucky evening. First of all, they tell me that the dishes in the kitchen are not there because there is no cook... Oh well… I order a cutting board. However, a platter presented as a mixture of cured meats and cheeses, in which you put three small pieces of a single cheese, is not exactly the best. And the wine, a bubble that should have been served cold, was instead brought to me at too high a temperature. I finish the platter, and sip the wine, but I realize that, even though it's only 9.40pm, I'm left alone in the place and they're starting to clear out, making me understand that I basically have to get out of the way. So I get up, pay and ask for the invoice, but they can't get it to me for inexplicable technical reasons, after half an hour of trying, claiming that they've just changed the software. No evening, here...

10/01/2025: Nice place, good and plentiful aperitif (6 euros), good food especially the mustard potatoes. Small negative note: the goulash arrived lukewarm.

23/11/2025: Coffee (deca) served cold at 1.60 euros and dirty bathroom (closet)

02/12/2025: Unfortunately, the cafeteria has gotten worse compared to previous years. Now you can only pay using the dedicated app and with cash, a minimum of twenty euros. The so-called "quick" meal is a pittance, and I don't understand why they charge less even if you only order a first or second course using this formula compared to the so-called "full" meal. The pizza and sandwiches remain decent/good. The saddest thing is that even if you're a university student and the cafeteria is empty, you can't stay in the cafeteria for some reason (perhaps because only those actively consuming here and now are allowed to stay). It's quite ridiculous; because until proven otherwise, students aren't dangerous; especially if the cafeteria is empty.

24/07/2025: Disgraceful treatment from the cashier with dark glasses. We were eating in the cafeteria, and one of us had food we hadn't purchased there. The cashier, while enforcing the rules, was extremely rude and surly, even threatening to kick out the person who hadn't gotten food from the cafeteria. The person then left and found another seat, even though THE CANTEEN WAS EMPEROR at the time! How the hell do you dare, a cashier with dark glasses, kick someone out of a public place? In such an arrogant and condescending tone! Toward a poor student who may have to bring food from home to cover the expenses he has to pay here in Trento. Moreover, considering they are subsidized with our tax money, and furthermore, when you pay you can't enter the exact amount, so they pocket the difference between what you pay and what you consume. As usual, a disgrace!

10/06/2025: Sunday afternoon, where do you go for a hot drink after going to the theater when everywhere is full? We ended up here, like other families… super nice waiter, nothing to say. Nice environment in itself, but with terrible acoustics. The bar bill was a blow to the heart: €6.50 for a slice of Sacher, €5 for a hot chocolate, €4 for a hot tea… I'm sorry, but you can also pluck the chickens at the markets like this, but a family from Trentino will definitely not come back here again. Too bad. UPDATE: the Fiorentina bar as such no longer exists, it has been converted into a place that, from the outside, seems inviting. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, so I won't express any opinions!
