Perhaps linked to our incomprehension of the language and therefore of the menu!

15/07/2024: A few meters from Piazza del Campo we not only found excellent typical products such as the platter of Tuscan cured meats and cheeses but above all we found something that cannot be found in many places... the feeling of being at home with friends sharing a meal ...the two managers are exceptional people...I had my two dogs with me, one small and one medium-large and they immediately asked me if I wanted some water for them and pampered them with a lot of kibbles...I will definitely be back for the excellent food and the love that these people put into their work and their place...highly recommended

13/05/2024: I'm sorry, because the location is very beautiful, given the terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills. The staff is friendly and you can see that they put in the effort, but the quality of the service doesn't even remotely justify the exorbitant prices (just to name one €3.5 cover charge, when there wasn't even a tablecloth)
07/05/2024: Elegante, accogliente, gustoso. Una location bellissima (la valle del Chianti incorniciata dalle viti) per un pranzo in famiglia (con neonato), sapori della tradizione rivisti in chiave gourmet. Personale professionale e attento. Da rifare al più presto!

01/09/2024: IL CAMPO in Siena is a superb dining destination. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff create a memorable dining experience. Their diverse menu offers a range of traditional Italian dishes, featuring a standout pizza with a crispy crust and rich sauce. The beef meat dishes are equally delightful, with tender, expertly seasoned cuts that truly impress. I highly recommend IL CAMPO and give it a well-deserved 5 stars!

06/03/2024: This restaurant is no more than a handful of tables located outdoors in a tiny piazza off Via Dei Montanini, a stone's trow from the Piazza de Campo. At first glance, it looked charming enough. But looks can be deceiving.
We didn't make dinner reservations for the evening of our arrival in Siena - a busy Saturday in September. Everywhere we called was fully booked. Except this restaurant. That in itself should have been big red flag.
The weather was unseasonably warm, so an outdoor terrace seems like a great idea. In fact the ambiance is quite charming. But the food... oh my!
The menu is very simple and contains Tuscan classics. It was presented to us on a grimy sheet of paper. No more than a handful of dishes. And rather overpriced as others have noted.
We had the Bruchetta, Tagliatelle alla cinghiale, and veal piccatta. The food was horrible. So was the service. And the bill was as bad as the rest. Disappointing.

22/12/2023: We organized a party for 20 people, I knew pizza, it was delicious. We ordered sandwiches, arancini, panzerotti and cannoli. All very good, especially the very delicious cannoli and panzerotti. Really friendly, approachable, precise. Everyone very satisfied. I recommend for sure. Overall, excellent experience. Thank you.

Personale gentilissimo, un responsabile davvero simpatico che ci ha accolto con competenza e professionalità , in una location fantastica.
Abbiamo mangiato un primo molto gustoso così come la carne e i contorni buonissimi!
Anche se non torneremo nella struttura di cui fa parte, se passeremo da queste parti sicuramente verremo a mangiare qui.
Complimenti allo chef e allo staff!

4cheese pizza was excellent, so was the atmosphere, but that's it.. 😢
We ordered raviolies - 4 pieces were delivered, just mediocre.. the antipasti egg - sorry, but I cook my eggs better in the morning. The pasta with Montepulciano wine - looked bad and it tasted... well it didn't taste good at all.
Service was ok, but nothing special. All in all, it was our last dinner in Tuscany and it was just not good at all unfortunately.. the place has potential, it looks great and the backyard is very private and nice, but kitchen really has to improve to be successful..
20/08/2024: We were attracted to the restaurant by the suggestive and intimate environment, we were immediately greeted by very kind and helpful staff. The menu offers a wide choice, with generous and quality portions. The bill was a pleasant surprise as it went well beyond our expectations given the location, the quality of the products and the abundance (I recommend the cold cuts platter, the tartare and the pork belly). I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back!

10/07/2024: Posto che ti lascia senza fiato, una vista meravigliosa sulla Val D’Orcia, ottimo per eventi, un pranzo ma per il camping non ci siamo. Partendo dalla strada per arrivarci, strada bianca, molto stretta quindi in camper scomoda, sdruccevole e sterrata. Le piazzole sono poche, piccole ma ben divise, pulite e immerse tra gli animali che hanno in una piccola fattoria. Ma i servizi? Una doccia per sesso, accanto ad un bagno ma non solo, bagno accanto al ristorante quindi unico per tutti i clienti. Questa cosa la trovo al limite dell’assurdo. Prezzo alto ma nella media per la zona di Pienza.
06/07/2024: What an amazing place. We have currently been in Tuscany for a week and this was a true highlight. We brought the children to go riding (they rode the little pony Luna who is darling) and then we sat down to the most beautiful Tuscan lunch. A heavenly spot with amazing attention to detail (riding, service, food - everything!).
We absolutely loved soaking in the views over a glass of wine, homemade pasta, divine, cheese and meat board, and home made soft ice cream, whilst the children ran on the grass in pure joy, stopping here and there to say hello to the receptions little dog.
What a joy. This was much more than a lovely stable and place for lunch. It oozes good taste and authentic Italy in an uplifted and smart setting.

18/08/2024: We arrive to have two coffees at the counter, the staff was busy and they invite us to sit. Too bad about the final bill, €5.50 for two coffees. Thieves. NEVER AGAIN.

21/05/2024: Una delusione, personale scortese e visibilmente annoiato, scocciato, quasi stessimo facendo loro un torto.
Ordiniamo una coca, uno Spritz e un analcolico con “tagliere di formaggi e salumi” che singolarmente aveva un costo di 7€.
Il tagliere era misero, composto da 2 fette di prosciutto, 3 di salame e 3 triangoli di formaggio con 3 grissini duri e vecchi. Neanche 2 patatine o 1 fetta di pane da accompagnare con i salumi!
Peccato, perché la qualità dei salumi era ottima e il locale veramente carino.

25/07/2024: Lousy service. The two of us simply wanted to eat pasta here, which was possible according to the waiter (owner?). Pasta all pesto of the day with 2 glasses of Roero Arneis. After a short wait, the plates are brought and the waiter announces that he will immediately bring the grated parmegiano ... In the end, the plate was eaten without cheese and without Arneis. Paid and left. No excuse, nientr. Worthless, don't go there.
30/06/2024: Definitely positive experience, to be repeated. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious pizza, first courses and starters beyond expectations...

21/07/2024: The best lunch in Montepulciano. The tagliare board of meats and cheeses is unreal. Their sandwiches and bruschetta are amazing as well. Very friendly staff - Silvia and Sanchez are fabulous people! Also a great place to stop in the morning for a coffee and a pastry!
14/02/2024: Experiência bastante desagradável. A mulher loira que atende as mesas é extremamente mal educada e dedutivamente não sabe lidar com o público. O ápice do mal atendimento foi o momento em que pedi azeite e ela apontou para o prato, indicando que já tinha um pouco e que não precisaria de mais. Quando eu disse que era para colocar no pão, algo extremamente comum em qualquer lugar do mundo, ela soltou um alto e forte “urgh” e fez uma cara de nojo inacreditável. Mas não parou por aí. Ela foi buscar o vidro de azeite e perguntou onde no prato era para colocar e ela mesma colocou um pouco e não me deixou colocar a quantidade que eu queria. Eu fiquei profundamente insatisfeito com o comportamento dela e perguntei qual era o nome do restaurante. Ela disse que não tinha nome. Depois disse que era para fazer uma avaliação e foi aí que ela disse que o restaurante não estava no TripAdvisor. Ainda bem que ela mentiu e o restaurante esta aqui para que eu possa dividir essa experiência desastrosa com outros viajantes.

25/07/2024: Abbiamo prenotato per cena l’ambiente del locale curato niente da dire ma il cibo…abbiamo preso un tagliere di salumi e formaggi,alcuni salumi tagliati con lo spessore come degli spicchi di formaggio e il formaggio che aveva il sapore del pane tostato molto probabilmente hanno usato lo stesso coltello.I picci cacio e pepe che navigavano in una minestra di formaggio totalmente slegato il piatto non andava servito uno stinco cotto nel Chianti ecco aveva solo il nome della zona perché era cotto al forno normalmente con delle verdure tritate e delle patate al forno condite in una salina.Lo sconsiglio vivamente

Stedet er overpriset, med medium service og kjedelig mat.
Til forrett hadde vi kald eple- og sellerisuppe, og squash- og spinatgrateng. Til hovedrett; villsvin med oliven, og Ossobuco. Det meste var smakløst, kanskje med unntak av suppen. Lokalet hadde utsikt ned på en balkong med undertøy til tørk, og de toscanske åser i det fjerne. Det finnes sikkert andre restauranter i landsbyen som leverer bedre.
