19/06/2025: Assolutamente consigliato, la cucina è ottima e il personale gentile e preparato. Noi nel nostro viaggio all'Isola d'Elba ci siamo stati 2 volte e ci siamo trovati benissimo.

18/06/2025: Ho cenato con piacere in questo Ristorante consigliato dal posto nel quale soggiorniamo, indicato fra i migliori dell'Isola d'Elba. Consiglio assolutamente azzeccato. La qualità dei piatti serviti è altissima così come il vino e l'ottima cordialità e savoir-faire del servizio, rende la serata decisamente appagante. Non una sbavatura, c'è solo da fare i complimenti a tutto il locale per la cura che mettono nel loro lavoro. Costo della serata in linea con il mangiato e le attese, la qualità ha un prezzo, ma lo reputo corretto.

22/07/2025: We just arrived, the public beach is packed and the sea is very rough. We have a disabled daughter who wanted to use the pool. Unfortunately, we didn't read the sign that dogs were not allowed. We have a small dog, who also doesn't move. They kicked us out and refunded us. I'm replying here because I don't know if it's possible to reply below your comment. I feel sorry, first for my daughter, and second for the dog because he doesn't move. She's used to it. I'm the first to dislike situations where dogs bother or make a mess, or where dog owners don't clean up. The day was ruined. My husband is furious with me and the dog.

21/07/2025: Very clean beach, friendly staff, and affordable parking. Unfortunately, swimming caps are mandatory in the children's pool. I've never seen that in any other country, except Italy!!!

22/06/2025: We had dinner in this restaurant which is located along the Vecchia Aurelia road, so easily visible when driving by. We sat in what can be considered a veranda which I found very welcoming. We ordered delicious fish dishes and they offered us a nice, fresh, sparkling white aperitif, much appreciated given the evening temperatures. They have a nice menu, very varied, the service is excellent and the dishes served are very delicious. Recommended!

22/06/2025: We ate very well and the service was impeccable, even the management of a small problem for the table reservation was handled and resolved in a professional manner. Highly recommended.

28/07/2025: Abbiamo pernottato a Livorno in attesa del traghetto per la Sardegna ..non ci siamo lasciati scappare l'occasione per mangiare la specialità livornese per eccellenza..il cacciucco .. ci hanno consigliato questa trattoria della Livorno vecchia abbiamo trovato oltre a simpatia e cortesia .. un cacciucco veramente ottimo ed abbondante con prezzi onestissimi.. consigliato!

20/06/2025: For me it's the place of the heart, everything is perfect!!! I would come more often, but I live too far away, I have to settle for once or twice a year. Superlative dishes, top staff!!! 🤩The little church of Santa Lucia was a great comfort to me! 😍

09/07/2025: Etwas abgelegen, wunderschöne Aussicht, sehr authentischer Ort, man fühlt sich wohl hier. Wir wollten nur einen Aperitivo nehmen und sind dann auch für das Nachtessen geblieben. Das Essen ist ganz ok und eher günstig. Der Wein und das Olivenöl waren super, wir haben direkt eingekauft.

26/06/2025: Stunning location on the hills, with an excellent view of the sea at sunset, exquisite food. We had an aperitif with two spritz and a well-assorted cutting board, reasonable prices despite the quality being very high.

05/08/2025: The restaurant dates back to the 1980s. The view inside is spectacular, but the food is a bit expensive.

31/07/2025: End-of-holiday dinner in a special place, with a fabulous view from the terrace. We ate divinely. My favorite dish was a fabulous turbot and clam stew. The chef is truly knowledgeable and introduced us to unusual yet truly explosive flavor combinations. The price was a little above average, but it was truly money well spent. The atmosphere was very welcoming, with qualified and friendly staff. The icing on the cake was the pet-friendly restaurant! We'll definitely be back.

04/07/2025: The food, the service and the atmosphere are beautiful. I have read reviews that do not represent this place at all. The food is well-prepared, unique and very good, the waiters had a special consideration for all the furry customers in the place and there is truly a kindness that, unfortunately, is not a given to find. For vegetarians it is a place that provides alternatives.

29/06/2025: Those who don't appreciate it don't know what they're talking about, top dishes and service, the fregole are a spectacle of nature like the linguine with cuttlefish ink, to return as soon as possible!!!

16/07/2025: Ogni anno tornare a I 4 Gatti è come riscoprire un angolo speciale dell’Elba, dove il gusto incontra l’eleganza. Il locale si conferma un posto raffinato, curato in ogni dettaglio, con un’atmosfera ricca di storia e fascino: un ambiente unico, capace di raccontare molto più di una semplice cena. La cucina è il vero fiore all’occhiello: piatti deliziosi, preparati con grande attenzione e passione. Il fuori menù è sempre una sorpresa gradita e, in questa occasione, è stato quasi un segno del destino: speravo nella fregola di cacciucco… ed eccola lì, proprio quella sera. Semplicemente perfetta. Il servizio è impeccabile. La signora Stefania, sempre gentile e professionale, quest’anno ci ha accolti con un sorriso ancora più luminoso, reso speciale da un lieto evento familiare. E poi c’è Alessio, suo figlio: una garanzia quando si tratta di consigliare il vino giusto. Competente e attento. Un’esperienza che va ben oltre il semplice “mangiar bene”. 26/07/2025: A restaurant that's an institution: 72 years of Livorno tradition passed down from father to son, with authentic, straightforward, and unfussy cuisine. You come to Antico Moro for one thing: fresh fish, cooked to perfection. The raw fish is excellent, served simply and with great respect for the ingredients, and the appetizer of polenta crostini with seafood sauce is a real treat. The first courses are very good, rich and flavorful, like the penne with crab. But it's when grilled that the fish is at its best: sea bass, bream, sea bass... they bring it to the table for you to choose. It's truly the best grilled fish I've ever eaten. I say this as a Palermitan accustomed to recognizing and eating good fish. Perfectly cooked, authentic flavor, white meat, the scent of the real sea. It's a family-run restaurant, and you can taste it. The atmosphere is warm and sincere; you feel like a guest, not a customer. Anyone who loves authentic seafood will find their home here. And finally, I love the chocolate gelato and Livorno-style punch, served as tradition dictates. An experience that tastes of Livorno, the sea, and family. One to return to, always. My father-in-law has been coming here for at least 60 years, before my partner was born. So, too, I've embraced this true Livorno family tradition with great pleasure (and happiness for my taste buds).

03/05/2025: We decided to visit based on a recommendation or two and that I am a big fan of their wines. The atmosphere was very nice and so were the servers. One suggestion to the owner would be to put cushions on the wooden chairs as they were not that comfortable. Although the food was good, it didn't justify the price. I also learned that dogs are allowed in the restaurant, which many patrons took advantage. Most dogs were well behaved but I wouldn't recommend this place for a romantic dinner. We would probably not go back as we experienced better cuisine for far less. The wine however was fantastic.

29/04/2025: Location bellissima in mezzo ai vigneti , cucina curata con piatti generosi e di qualità. Vini superlativi… ma era scontato! Servizio e professionalità senza eccessi ma con cordialità. Per noi Una tappa obbligata!

05/08/2025: My criticism is not for the food or anything else, as I was unable to eat at this restaurant. After making a reservation where I wasn't asked for a phone number, I arrived at 9 pm as agreed, but the place was closed with a sign for personal reasons. Now I'm sorry for whatever happened, but the customer has the right to be informed and vice versa. I recommend you always ask for the phone number. Thank you.
