17/03/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant for the first time. It's a quiet place, a beautiful, typical mountain setting, and very charming both inside and out. Delicious food, homemade cuisine, and typical local products, all very good. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you're in the area, stop by; you won't regret it...I'll definitely be back!

28/12/2025: Ninni's is a guarantee. Every time we go to Lucca and stay for dinner, we go to Ninni's. I park nearby, and if you want to stroll, just cross the footbridge and you're right in the center. On the way back, you can stop at this cute, welcoming place. The service is impeccable, and the staff are smart, very kind, and helpful. The cecina is superb, both classic and with bacon or onion. Pizza exceeds expectations: different doughs, classic and more sophisticated toppings, something for every taste. Gourmet pizza...a real treat! I tried "la ficata"...truly "awesome." We'll definitely be back. The online reservation option is also excellent. Keep it up...

12/03/2026: Alex is a restaurant fully deserving of its place in the Michelin Guide. We ate very well and every dish was outstanding, with incredible flavor combinations that showed creativity and great technique. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail were evident in every course. The wine list is also excellent, offering great options to pair with the dishes and elevate the whole experience. A refined yet welcoming place that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

14/01/2026: Some dear friends gave me a Smartbox gift box. Since this is the only restaurant in the area that offers it, I called once to make a reservation; as soon as they heard I had the box, they told me they had no room. After about a month, I tried again, but before checking with The Fork for available reservation slots (all free). I called, spoke with Mr. Matteo, finalized the reservation, and finally gave them the Smartbox number. At that point, they told me that the dinner in the box couldn't be used for the Saturday in question, a normal Saturday in mid-December. I stiffened, expressed my concern about the poor impression I'd made, especially knowing they had ample availability on The Fork (where they even offer a 20% discount), and invited Mr. Matteo to have the owner call me to clarify the situation. So far, no one has wanted to do so, and as I mentioned over the phone, I'm reporting my negative experience to them. Bottom line: Don't use promotional tools if you then make those customers feel unwelcome on certain evenings or second-rate.

01/04/2026: We've become regulars at this restaurant, and every visit only confirms our excellent impression. The place is well-kept and welcoming, and from the moment you enter, you're greeted with a genuine smile that immediately puts you at ease. The cuisine is excellent and offers a truly wide selection: from pasta dishes to meat, from fish to pizza, it's hard to find anything that doesn't meet your expectations. A versatile menu, executed with care and consistency. The service is attentive and friendly at every opportunity: whether you come as a couple for a quiet evening or with friends for a large table, the attention to guests is always impeccable. This isn't a given, and we appreciate it every time. To complete the picture, the quality-price ratio is more than satisfactory. In short, every visit is a confirmation: at Porta Romana Pizza e Grill, you always have a pleasant evening. Recommended.

30/03/2026: The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very chic. I'm gluten intolerant and told the waiter when I arrived. I was a little annoyed that he asked me a few questions about my gluten intolerance and then made a mistake by bringing me a pizza made with regular flour. I looked at it and immediately asked if it was gluten-free. The waiter came back and said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I made a mistake." It was surprising that this happened, but also how the staff didn't think it was a big deal. I'm not one to cause a scene, so I let it go, but I could have been very ill if I'd even taken a bite of the gluten-free pizza. I'm also intolerant to nightshades (tomato, bell pepper, eggplant), so I ordered a white pizza with buffalo mozzarella, parmesan, and basil. The pizza was decent, but I recommend sticking to the pizza on the menu and not "creating your own." Overall, everything else—the regular pizza my husband ordered was beautiful and good, and the desserts were delicious. They recommended an excellent Argentine Pinot Noir, since they didn't have what we'd ordered. Just to let people with celiac disease know to be especially careful.

03/09/2025: We had a wonderful time at the Dirty Rat. The service was exceptional; everyone was helpful, and we had a wonderful connection with everyone. The interior was very impressive, with beautiful designer lamps and lovely paintings. I spent a lot of time looking around. The dishes and desserts were consistently delicious, created and presented with surprising and distinctive flavors. The wine was the perfect finishing touch. I look back on our evening with a smile on my face. Thank you so much!

02/09/2025: Lovely joint with both Tuscan and a few American/Mexican style dishes. The zucchini flowers were lovely and the pici as well. The staff spoke good English, compared to other establishments in the area.

27/02/2026: Since you asked for a reason for my rating, here it is: I'm the customer on Saturday, February 21st, who you placed at table 00. As we told you when we paid the bill, we ate the pizza in 10 minutes because, being right in front of the door, we were freezing. And honestly, that's inconceivable from my point of view. The fact that the table was called 00 makes it clear that it's a non-existent table... All you had to do was call and say you didn't have a table.
