08/11/2025: This place was recommended to me, and I booked without looking at the reviews. Once I walked in, I wondered what it was like, and the reviews were pretty bad. I was obviously very biased, but I was pleasantly surprised by the speedy service and excellent food. We tried fragrant pici with porcini mushrooms, a truly delicious ribollita, and a tender ossobuco that melted in your mouth, accompanied by a fresh, crunchy, and flavorful mixed salad. I recommend finishing your dinner with their cantucci.

We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 08/12/2025: On our way back from Amiata, we visited Bagno Vignoni and stopped at this cozy bar for a hot herbal tea. The attention to detail is evident in every corner! Adorable!

31/10/2025: Went for a quick drink. Ambiance is excellent. The decor is super pretty. The great music choices adds so much to the mood and even the way it flows outside is very beautiful. The bartender was very attentive and nice. The kind of bar I feel sad I don't have close to home. Will miss you Tomorrow.

Because it's true that the place is stuck in 50 years of history, but that's also its beauty. It's true that it takes half an hour to eat a plate of pasta, but that's also its beauty. It's true that the sauces and preparation are from the '80s, but that's also its beauty. In short, it depends on the reviewer. Those who love efficiency, modernity, and attention to detail are bound to be disappointed. Those who are captivated by the atmosphere of times gone by, the memories, and the humanity that permeates the place, are bound to love it.

11/11/2025: It's hard to find a traditional trattoria in Florence. Here, they cook like they used to, simple but authentic food, cooked to perfection! We stopped for a quick lunch: appetizer and side dish while waiting for the first course. The spaghetti was freshly prepared, perfectly cooked. The owner is also a very friendly cook. I will definitely be back. Recommended.

20/09/2025: "Four stars? More like four nightmares." €600 for three nights, and I'm seriously wondering what it's for. Even at check-in: dirty towels, hair in the shower, half-empty minibar – thanks for nothing. Changing rooms? No good. In the "new" room, pictures are falling off the wall, the shower turns the bathroom into a paddling pool, the air conditioning is dead, and the curtains are broken. Breakfast? A gas station croissant has more charm. Dirty cutlery, staff with a permanently annoyed look, and room service shows up at 8 a.m. as if it were their own room. Conclusion: This "4-star hotel" is an expensive joke. Every youth hostel here is pure luxury.

20/09/2025: DIRTY, OLD, DISGUSTING We had a suite that was so dirty that we were offered a new one. This one, too, was DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. The pictures were falling off the wall, the shower was leaking so that after a shower, the entire room was wet!! Absolutely NOT 4 STARS!!! No goodwill from the hotel... they said someone would be right there with silicone for the shower... NEVER AGAIN!! The restaurant apparently closes at 10 PM... unfortunately, it also closed at 9 PM!!

24/11/2025: It was raining. Even so, we opted for the outdoor area. However, an excessive amount of construction noise on the restaurant floor was very bothersome. Indignant about the noise, the waiter suggested an indoor table.
