20/06/2025: Had breakfast at Circolo ARCI Petroio and it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and local—feels more like having coffee at a friend’s house than a commercial café. The coffee was strong and well-made, and the pastries were fresh, simple, and authentically Tuscan. Not a huge menu, but perfect for a quiet morning in the countryside. Great value, and the people were incredibly warm and welcoming. A great way to start the day if you’re staying near Vinci.

09/09/2025: A beautiful restaurant. Very friendly staff, great food, fresh fish in the display case. Delicious wines, very reasonable prices for the delicious food they serve. We've been coming here for years, highly recommended.

22/08/2025: Booked with The Fork, discounted prices by 20%. The food is average, and the prices are a bit high even with the discount. I didn't particularly like the service. We ordered two courses each (two appetizers, a first course, and a second course), and they couldn't bring the dishes together, not even the two appetizers.

03/05/2025: We decided to visit based on a recommendation or two and that I am a big fan of their wines. The atmosphere was very nice and so were the servers. One suggestion to the owner would be to put cushions on the wooden chairs as they were not that comfortable. Although the food was good, it didn't justify the price. I also learned that dogs are allowed in the restaurant, which many patrons took advantage. Most dogs were well behaved but I wouldn't recommend this place for a romantic dinner. We would probably not go back as we experienced better cuisine for far less. The wine however was fantastic.

29/04/2025: Location bellissima in mezzo ai vigneti , cucina curata con piatti generosi e di qualità. Vini superlativi… ma era scontato! Servizio e professionalità senza eccessi ma con cordialità. Per noi Una tappa obbligata!

19/10/2025: Disappointing and a lesson in ensuring you know what you are getting ! I hate them but those menus with photos do have their advantages !! OK it's mid-October and so out of the peak tourist season and it's Sunday - but only having two of the "mains" was not a good start (- surely better to have a reduced/revised Menu if you are not going to offer all in quiet times). Hungry so stayed and make do with the "Firsts". Decided to go for the pasta with ragu, the latter to me being the delicious vibrant red meat sauce. However the resultant was none of that, simply pasta and minced beef. A huge plate full made it worse. The best thing in fact was the spinach side order and the 1/2 lt white wine - recommended ! Many more people came in after me and they managed to get that vibrant sauce and were happy so I don't know what went wrong for me. Maybe I had the allergy-proof version. As the only place offering more than a pizza, I feel a missed opportunity.

02/07/2025: If you are ever in the quaint town Barga, stop off here at this local spot. It’s a combination of a market, a bar, and a place to eat food. They have pasta (obviously), but other items too. I ate the Caprese salad and my husband had the hamburger (he said it was delicious).

15/11/2025: We have many years that come to this resaurant, and as always very satisfied by the serivice, food and wine. Definitely our first and forever choise for next trip to Florence. This is maximum highly recomended.

06/11/2025: The service was extremely disappointing. Our server wasn’t friendly and seemed bothered whenever we asked questions about the menu. My husband and I felt uncomfortable the entire time. We had to call them over repeatedly, and although they kept walking past our table and noticing our finished plates, they never came to clear them. Overall, the experience was not pleasant, which is disappointing given that we came to have a nice evening dinner.

08/11/2025: Molto buono! The lasagna was a bit different but it was amazingly good. As well as the steak. The chef and staff are very accommodating. They even cooked something for my 20month old baby to enjoy. I love that they have a baby station inside the bathroom which makes it easier for moms to change their babies' while visiting the beautiful San Gimignano. Worth taking a reservation here!

08/11/2025: A classic village tavern. Unfortunately, prices are in line with inflation. The food isn't bad; I especially recommend the first courses. We weren't entirely impressed with the cheeses.

26/08/2025: Delicious! We enjoyed creamed cod on black polenta with marinated onions, tagliatelle with octopus ragù, anchovies, and fried flowers with a spicy sauce that paired perfectly. The desserts were not only delicious but also beautiful. Everything was cooked with care and attention, presented with meticulous attention, and enriched with a touch of creativity that surprises without ever being overwhelming. A special mention for the hospitality of the owner and chef: with his smile and kindness, he immediately makes you feel at home in his restaurant. (The photos are just of the desserts... I got distracted eating without wasting time 😅). Bravo, Hiron! 👏 We'll definitely be back.

17/08/2025: The venue and menu are highly original, yet the atmosphere is still very pleasant. The menu isn't for everyone because there are limited options, so if you have limited tastes, it might be difficult to find something you like. The service, though informal, was impeccable and fast. We had tagliolini with clams and casoncelli with butter and sage, both delicious. The desserts are also very good.

09/09/2025: We got married last Saturday, September 6th. What can I say? It was a wonderful experience, a wonderful location, and a wonderful staff. Doriana, who was with us from the beginning, was always super helpful, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. We had a truly wonderful time and created the wedding we'd always dreamed of.
