A very nice place, I loved the menu, delicious gnocchi, super friendly waiter, and also very good cantucci, as well as the wine, I must say. I'll return, simple without too many frills.

La Cantina has been a landmark in Istia for years. Anyone looking for a family-run restaurant, a menu featuring authentic flavors and ingredients, the cheerful informality of the Maremma, and the care taken to serve delicious, passionately prepared food, knows they're in the right place.

This place serves food I haven’t tried anywhere else, including a whole fish deboned before being cooked and served. The menu was small which is always a good sign for me :) Incredible. Great wines. Great value. Recommended!

The chef is extremely skilled, and you can taste the love for tradition in every course. The staff is very friendly, warm, and always helpful.
