28/09/2025: Stopped by on our last night in Siena. The food was okay, but not something you would brag about. The street is atmospheric, but unfortunately that was the best part. After having some fantastic dining in Tuscany (and smaller total bills), this was definitely underwhelming. Then, seeing a €2.50 charge for tap water on the bill didn't help improve the perception of this primarily feeding off the steady stream of tourists. All in all, it's just ok and for the price we paid - there are much better places to go.

02/10/2025: We went here for dinner because we were staying at a hotel across the street and were enticed by the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the evening was extremely disappointing. The ambiance played a major role in this. It's not cozy at all; it feels more like you're sitting in a cafeteria. It's also very loud when the tables are full. The staff weren't particularly enthusiastic either. The only positive thing: the prices are great. Pizza was okay; I've had better. On top of that, I had stomach problems the next morning. I absolutely can't recommend it.

05/10/2025: We chose this restaurant because of its good Google rating. I'm writing this review only to share a less than positive experience that might be helpful to those with more similar tastes. Given the kindness of the staff, I would have gladly avoided writing it. The atmosphere, in our opinion, doesn't reflect the professionalism and quality evident on the (very well-designed) website and in most of the reviews we've read. The atmosphere is cold, and there's a slight odor upon entering; I don't know if it's due to a plumbing issue, but certainly not to a lack of cleanliness. The table setting doesn't match the price point the restaurant aims to set, due to the fake flower centerpieces and the slightly scratchy paper napkin covers (not even non-woven). The service is extremely polite and equally disorganized, with moments of inevitable tension between staff, due only to frustration at the lack of a system and not to any bitterness between them. The menu is far too extensive for a quality restaurant; in fact, almost all the fish is frozen, and some dishes feature out-of-season vegetables. The quality of the food is just passable, definitely not in line with the prices. The wait for the first course was very long. I saw so much goodwill in the dining room that it's truly a shame I can't give a better rating.

26/11/2025: I'm sharing the compliments from my friends, including my own. Really good food. The Lucio and wild boar sauces were exquisite, the mixed roast and lamb were made just right, and then.... The steak was as thick as it was tender and tasty, as well as delicious. We had a great time. The chocolate cantuccioni were a must-have. Well done to all the staff.

17/11/2025: A typical family-run inn, very friendly! What can I say about the food: excellent!! Everything was delicious, from the pappardelle with wild boar to the tripe and the cured meats. The steak was TOP!! Thank you for the delicious lunch you served us, which, between a laugh and a forkful, was of the highest quality! We'll definitely be back!

14/11/2025: Terrible experience. I'm a local and know the owner and his longtime employees well. I took an important client from Rapallo there for lunch (receipt no. 17 dated 11/14/2025, 2:21 PM). When it came time to offer us a limoncello, the owner's wife rudely said she'd decide whether to offer it or not. What hospitality! We left and I took my client to Bagno Fassoni, where they welcomed us like true gentlemen and offered us free limoncello.

28/10/2025: I'll start by saying I haven't been to Quarrata for years, and when I go back, I've always had my regular go-tos. This time, partly out of curiosity and partly because it had good publicity, I decided to change things up and try the so-called "tanta roba" (literally, "lots of stuff"): I'd never thought of doing it before! After spending over €50 at the pastry shop, we ordered two proseccos. It was around noon, so it was an aperitif. We asked if we could sit down, and with a joke that I thought was rather out of place on the part of the staff, we sat down. We travel a lot, but they've never served us an aperitif without a crisp or something similar. Negative review also for the mini pastries: cloying. Tanta roba, never again.

01/11/2025: Wrapping up our 2 week European honeymoon with a 3 night stay at Fonteverde was the best choice we could have made. Lounging by the pool in the sun, reading a good book, and soaking up the healing powers of the thermal water was just want we needed. We also booked a facial that was relaxing and made my skin glow. I loved being able to come to breakfast in my robe and slippers, all set to start a relaxing day. We had a dinner at the restaurant one of the evenings that was somewhat less than stellar, mainly due to OUR limited Italian language, but the meal was still delicious! The front desk staff was kind and even help us set up a taxi service to bring us to and from another evening, which was a huge help in a small town and a country we don't speak the language. Thank you so much for adding to an unforgettable honeymoon, we cannot wait to come back!

07/10/2025: I've tried it several times for lunch and it's always been a pleasant experience, a simple choice for an unusual lunch. I've tried the spaghetti with clams several times and it's always excellent. The restaurant's strong point is definitely the extensive wine list at very reasonable prices. The service is friendly and attentive.

13/10/2025: It's not my first time here, but I remember they used to only have pizza, but now they have appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Thick pizza, excellent dough, and good. Prices are okay. The only disappointment was the roast beef, which was actually just roast beef. Otherwise, we had a great time.
