Family seafood restaurant. The food is very original, although not everyone likes breaded small fish with spines. Quite a long waiting time, maybe just in our case.

My husband and. Have been in Sicily for 1 week after trying everyday to find mixed calamari as YUMMY as some we had on the 2nd floor of the market in Florence in 2019- we found it here- it was fresh and hot and seasoned to perfection!!! We loved the Street Food vibe and the cute outdoor seating!! We enjoyed this meal way more than other more expensive meals thus far in Sicily!! Wish we could have more lemon for squeezing into the calamari but otherwise this was my favourite meal so far in Sicily- perfect!!!

It is a small place in the old town with a nice view. There are only a few tables outside. We came here specifically for the fried mixed seafood, which was fresh and gorgeous! I believe it was 16 euros for 1 portion, which I think would be enough only for one person, but I'm not complaining as the quality was excellent! It was our best seafood in Sicily so far.

Siamo clienti ormai da anni, e non ci delude mai. Resta sempre la migliore frittura di pesce in assoluto! Sia per la qualità delle materie prime, sia per i sapori autentici. Provare per credere....

Not being a strict catholic, I’m not sure if today is considered a holy day of obligation or whether seafood is the appropriate thing to eat. It just ended up that I really felt like seafood. The restaurant is on the water front and may or may not have something to do with the food tasting fresh and a little fishy. Specifically, it’s the clam strips that have the fishy taste. It’s all good with me.

06/04/2024: We specifically went to this restaurant, with a very basic location, given the excellent reviews. The mussel appetizer, bread and oil are excellent, as is the pasta with anchovies. The grilled swordfish was rubbery instead, perhaps a poor-quality frozen product? The fennel salad wasn't the best either, the outermost fibrous part was used. To top it off, the coca zero had expired about a week ago (to be consumed preferably by 03.27.2024). The crumb container is a little dirty. Price range around €30-40 p.p. Welcoming and helpful staff!
01/04/2024: I don't usually do reviews, but this place deserves to be mentioned. Superlative cuisine, extremely fresh fish, exceptional hospitality and flavors that leave you speechless. Absolutely worth trying.

Agriturismo Monte Criscione

23/03/2024: Their restaurant is a must try! The best home cooking I have ever tried. Fresh ingredients, delicious plates and great service. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and everything was perfect.
16/01/2024: We went for dinner 2 consecutive evenings, everything was very good. Compliments to the owner and his parents who took care of the kitchen. We ate very well... highly recommended farmhouse!!!!!
