07/09/2025: I arrived with extremely high expectations, I can honestly say that I was not completely satisfied, small internal environment and with an unpleasant and not fresh smell in the room, quick and very formal service, food mahhhhh Savoy cake hard hard hard, discreet flavor, but impossible to eat it without making a thousand crumbs and this left me perplexed is this its consistency or is it a sign of not freshness mahhhh, it is not listed on the menu in fact I ordered it at the counter, white chocolate and mandarin cake too sweet, very good however the almond milk, in fact I had seconds because the glasses are "clever" much smaller than the classic ones, in the end a famous pastry bar, probably one of the most famous in Sicily, but which does not convey in my very humble opinion the Sicilian tradition, I had more the sensation of an assembly line, everything very cold, very fast, in short the Sicilian coffee has not remained in my heart, but I promise myself to return and try the Savoy cake again for clear up my doubts about the consistency and possibly change the score, average price, see you next time.

07/09/2025: I went to this café to try their famous granita because of the excellent reviews. Honestly, as a Sicilian, I have to say that yes, it's a good granita, but like many others, nothing out of this world. I find the price unjustified; €23 for two granitas and two brioches is, I think, a bit high. In short: much more touristy than I thought. The review is clearly only for the granitas.

06/09/2025: Pleasant hotel, good breakfast, didn't have time to enjoy the pool, which made the value for money less attractive. But everything was spotless. The entrance gate was (too) discreet, making it look like the establishment was closed.

03/09/2025: Nice hotel. The room was aging and, above all, the cleaning was poorly done during our 10-day stay.

27/07/2025: Delicious pizza, perfectly leavened dough and good-quality ingredients. Friendly staff, simple atmosphere but well-set tables. Fair bill.

21/07/2025: Very fresh fish, congratulations! The pizza was simply amazing, delicious, and everything was delicious! Not to mention the delicate, elegant style of the 1980s! It made you feel right at home. A return to the past, with an eye to the future. Congratulations to the staff! I'll be back!

17/06/2025: In vacanza ad Avola, per visitare la parte orientale della Sicilia, città di partenza per visitare luoghi intrisi di storia barocca e dove le vicine spiagge tolgono il fiato, siamo indirizzati da persone del posto in questo bistrot fronte mare dove Tonino e la sua famiglia gestiscono con professionalità e passione uno spazio, dove la buona cucina la fa da padrona. Nella settimana di permanenza ci siamo tornati più volte ... e non ci siamo mai pentiti della scelta. L'attenzione per l'ospite, la cura dei particolari, unita alla qualità della buona cucina ed alla disponibilità di Tonino e del suo staff ... hanno reso le serate e le cene passate da e con loro meritevoli di menzione. Al papà di Tonino un ringraziamento particolare .... I limoni che coltiva con amore e passione, che utilizza nell'attività, e che ci ha regalato, per alcuni giorni seppur già rientrati a casa... ci hanno permesso di sentire il profumo della sua bellissima terra. 23/05/2025: Smash 🍔 with cheese was moist, tender and delicious. Not dry. Had the right seasoning. Brioche buns. Would order again. Noodles with mussels and shrimp were also delicious

11/08/2025: On Saturday, August 9th, we came to this place with some friends. What can I say? As a Syracusan, I've never been there before. A nice "change" from the usual places in Ortigia. Excellent sliced beef. Friendly staff, fair price, excellent quality 💪💪

03/08/2025: This place is a hidden pearl. Don't get fooled by the front, which is on a busy road. They have a nice terrace in the back. Service is extremely friendly - we felt really welcome, even as tourists. The food is excellent. If you're here with kids, consider taking the chicken and fries. If you like gorgonzola - I eat a lot of gnocchi gorgonzola, but this is the best I've ever had. The bruschetta were really good too.

17/07/2025: Ci siamo fermati per un aperitivo e siamo rimasti piacevolmente stupiti. Abbiamo preso da bere e un tagliere di affettati e formaggi molto molto abbondante e di qualità. Molto carina anche l’opzione “aperisushi”, che include un tagliere di sushi e un bicchiere di vino bianco.

13/07/2025: Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Panino con salsiccia ottimo e pasta fresca con funghi proprio come dei norvegesi a Ortigia si sognano di trovarla. Personale gentile e ospitale😊😊

09/08/2025: Terrible, awful, disgusting food, very minimalist. No salted ricotta, burnt eggplant, minimal capacity for fries, no outlets near the tables. I'm with my kids and I waited an hour for the pizzas. It doesn't seem right... 😩😩 There are too many cats, I was dying!!!! HELP Run away, don't come here. You'll die from the stench, hunger, and the possibility of contracting cancer. I'm leaving you because I'm leaving the pizzeria. I'm still hungry because of the small size of the pizzas.

15/08/2025: A truly pleasant place, with attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, always smiling. The pizza is exceptional: light and digestible dough, perfectly cooked, and super-fresh ingredients that enhance every bite. Excellent variety of flavors, from classic to more creative options. A place I will definitely return to and one I recommend to anyone looking for quality and warmth.

20/07/2025: A hotel on the Ortigia seafront with a beautiful terrace that becomes a drinks area and vegan restaurant in the evenings. The central location makes it easy to get around on foot. The rooms are large, air-conditioned, with a safe, comfortable, and meticulously maintained, with simple yet characterful furnishings. Some have a delightful sea view. The staff is very welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. Paola, the owner, is often present because she lives at the hotel. Cristiana, the front desk manager, manages the hotel with passion, kindness, helpfulness, and unparalleled professionalism. The breakfasts are excellent, served with local products, and the jams are homemade. A seaside hotel where you feel right at home: it will be our base in Ortigia.

15/08/2025: We stopped by Enna twice for a break, and each time we bought pastries and arancini, which never disappointed us. We were pleasantly surprised by the price of this bakery, which is very affordable: only €14 for 5 arancini and 2 coffees. The servers are very friendly, which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere.

22/05/2025: Had the most amazing meal here a couple of evenings ago. I had meatballs, best ever and my partner had sardines. The setting is stunning in a beautiful courtyard and the food is amazing. The young lady who served us ( so sorry I can't remember your name) was just lovely and to finish the meal we had two mandarin limoncellas to finish, which they make on the premises. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend, you'll be glad you went.🙂🙂

19/05/2025: Das war aber super. Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert ausprobiert. Alles war selbst gemacht und sehr hochwertig. Das Ambiente war urig und ein kleiner Geheimtipp. Bitte geht hierher, wenn ihr mal was anderes haben wollt, Original sizilianische Küche.
