01/09/2025: Dinner in a secluded and very romantic corner of a small square in Ortigia. Dishes cooked with love and generous portions, delicious octopus! The owner is friendly and kind. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

15/08/2025: Too bad! A very nice and quiet place found via The Fork. Tables under a 14th-century building. The food, however, was nothing special: The grilled octopus was chewy, and the pasta with pistachios and shrimp lacked flavor. The guy who served us was nice and kind. I hope they can improve; the place has great potential!

10/05/2026: Although we only had 2.5 days in Syracuse, we ate here twice for lunch! The restaurant is colorful, artistically designed, visually stunning, and authentically located right in the middle of the market (of course, it's loud, not clean, and chaotic at the market – that's part of the experience). The pasta scoglio and the mixed antipasti were especially excellent and will stay with us for a long time :)

29/04/2026: This noon we had the mixed Antipasti plate which was good. Fritto misto was ok sind the sardines were very small. Swordfish and gamberetti were good but not special. But what we have seen at the table next to us we couldn’t believe, but may this normal in this area: they served arancini with ragout and white rice inside. I haven’t seen this before and I always eat arancini wherever I can get some. And always there were yellow risotto inside. Moderate prices.

01/06/2026: A charming location. We were a group of friends with three children. The waiter was a bit grumpy about a request to add cherry tomatoes to the white seafood pasta, saying it would be more convenient for the kitchen to have all the same order. Frankly, I was disappointed, because if a customer makes such a simple request, I don't see why it shouldn't be accommodated. The wait times were quite long and the wait staff were unfriendly. The prices were disproportionate for the portions and for the area's standards.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great elegance, professionalism, and truly rare customer service. The restaurant management stands out for its impeccable organization, friendliness, and attention to every detail, creating a refined yet warm and familiar atmosphere. The cuisine was exceptional in every way. The chef deserves the most sincere compliments: top-quality dishes, the freshest fish, authentic flavors, and impeccably presented. Each course was an extraordinary gastronomic experience, prepared with great passion and unparalleled quality. A special thank you also to all the wait staff, always smiling, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive to every need. The service was elegant, fast, and truly professional. My partner's 40th birthday evening was made even more special thanks to your attentiveness and the quality of everything you offered. Onda Blu isn't just a restaurant, but a true Syracuse gem, where cuisine, hospitality, and professionalism reach the highest levels. My compliments to the entire staff. We'll definitely be back!

14/04/2026: A beautiful inn set in an 18th-century shop, with friendly staff and superb dishes. The seafood couscous and deconstructed cannoli are highly recommended.

12/04/2026: Locanda Scorfano Rosso, what can I say? A beautiful, sunny, relaxing day turned into a disaster!!! 🥺🥺 I highly recommend other great restaurants in Augusta!!! As soon as we arrived, they sat us outside, in an area where someone would come out to smoke every two minutes. Result: we spent the wait wafting smoke and listening to the curses coming from the kitchen...instead of enjoying a seafood lunch. When the menu finally arrived, we discovered the choice was limited to roughly four courses, including an appetizer, first course, and second course. But the worst was yet to come: in the end, you couldn't even choose, because many dishes were "out of stock," "sold out," or "we're not making them today." Basically, you just have to order whatever they decide, with no real alternative. A seafood restaurant should focus on quality, hospitality, and service. Here, instead, we found disorganization, poor customer service, and zero transparency... Not to mention the prices, maybe it's better to eat at Cracco's!!!

21/09/2025: Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. We sat down with good intentions based on the reviews, but unfortunately, the kitchen had some problems that they couldn't fix. So, after an hour of waiting, for which the restaurant is obviously not responsible, we had to ask for bread that hadn't been brought, and the table light was dim. Subsequently, they informed us of the kitchen problem and completely cancelled the dish. We waited even longer... only to be served two flavorless entrees. Our biggest disappointment was that, having a small child, it was difficult to make him wait so long, and in the end, he practically ate bread! The glass of wine we had ordered was added to my receipt, but it was never brought to us. They finally asked if they could offer us a liqueur, but after almost two hours, we declined because we were exhausted from our stay. The staff was numerous, but they were wandering around without anything. Overall, a bad experience.

08/06/2026: Excellent hotel. Beautiful location, convenient parking, and a lovely pool. Regarding breakfast, we expected something more, at least in terms of local products. Overall, a wonderful experience.

01/06/2026: Beautiful, carefully renovated farmhouse, welcoming staff, including the owner, who made us feel at home. Convenient on-site parking is available. The property is beautiful, the room clean, and the pool area is beautiful, complete with comfortable loungers for sunbathing. Unfortunately, for a four-star hotel, there are a few details missing, as Barbieri would say...the minibar in the room was turned off and mostly empty, not even a bottle of water, and the glasses provided were plastic at breakfast, and in the room they should be glass. The courtesy kit was very limited; it would be better to install hand soap dispensers, and personal hygiene products (shampoo and shower gel) in the shower. Honestly, we expected more from the breakfast, especially considering it's a four-star hotel, but especially in Sicily. Very poor! No typical products, not even a hint of ricotta, not even fresh bread, but packaged toast, two homemade cakes without even labels indicating which ones were made, packaged jam, and even the savory dishes were poor, albeit of poor quality. Honestly, not a good advertisement for Sicilian sweet and savory culture. It's a real shame because the structure is worth it!

26/12/2025: The first course with meats and cheese was delicious, the crispy chicken burgers where ok, and the fries with cheese and meat are again very good.

23/11/2025: Last night I wanted to try this place. I can say based on what I ordered. The potatoes with their skins and bacon were good. The pinsa, on the other hand, was mediocre, both in terms of the seasoning and because it was industrial, not artisanal. The place was clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

10/11/2025: Delicious food, I even managed to eat it gluten-free. I'm in a small town in Sicily, so I don't expect the staff to speak English. Authentic Sicilian food, where the locals eat. For me and my husband, it was a real hit. People who expect elegance and service using BBC English should think twice and go to the capital, not the outskirts. Anyone who wants to experience local flavors and atmosphere is in the best place. I recommend it ❤️
