18/05/2026: The red wine was gone, the appetizer was gone, the dessert was gone. The food wasn't good. The service was unsatisfactory. The ambiance was great.

15/05/2026: Stayed in Syracuse for 7 days, tried a few trattoria then discovered this one, and returned 3 times. The grilled fish was as good as any 5 star restaurant, the vino locale both red and white were excellent and great value. Pizzas lovely, and the orange salad, and octopus salads were also delicious.

28/10/2025: The place was recommended for good, local sea food! It worthy to eat there! Menu is simple and every dish worth to order!

17/09/2025: The menu was very limited, with few dishes to choose from; the marinara risotto also required advance reservations. The seafood spaghetti consisted only of mussels and clams. At 9:30 PM on a Saturday, when we asked for spaghetti with clams, we were told they only had a few and it was better to choose the marinara spaghetti I mentioned above. The mixed fried fish was all fish; they didn't have scampi, calamari, or even shrimp or prawns. The prices for the few dishes available were also quite high; spaghetti with (a few) clams was €22!! Maybe we were unlucky, but we're unlikely to return.

25/04/2026: Today we had the pleasure of having lunch at this pizzeria. I must say, we had a wonderful meal. The owner was kind and courteous. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality! My group and I had a great time today! We had a wonderful day!

08/06/2026: I rarely leave reviews, more so bad ones. But this place served us spaghetti with frozen seafood (I consider a crime, especially when you have waterfront). Do not come here. The grilled seafood was also average at best.

02/06/2026: We've eaten here several times. The pizza is cooked on a real charcoal grill. Superb! The mussels in tomato sauce are also outstanding. We once tried half the menu. Delicious. Atmosphere: very pleasant, not fancy, it's just a beach restaurant, and the staff is very friendly.

07/02/2026: I ate there with my family. I'd say it's a purely touristy place, but unfortunately the tables are tiny, so it's for tourists who don't want to waste their time! I'll add that, in my opinion, it's also expensive! For the food they offer.

07/02/2026: I like to think the Coke I drank has some health benefits because you have to be really bold to pay €5 a bottle. It's not like we were in a fancy restaurant. The dishes were just okay, not inedible, but definitely not quality. The potatoes taste like the rotisserie downstairs and the cutlet doesn't taste like a cutlet. Very fast service, I ordered and after 5 minutes everything arrived. Either the food is pre-cooked or the chef is very fast, maybe that's why the prices of the dishes are so high. Nice provocation. We definitely won't be back. €10 for penne with tomato sauce, never seen that price anywhere else. €8 for a side of vegetables. This is mocking the customer. I don't understand the good reviews, either people feed themselves on mediocrity or people like to be fooled. Avoid.

03/01/2026: I had bought a diavola for my nephew Calogero and a sfogliatella for my wife, all good, I paid, we got back to the car and so far so good. As soon as my nephew takes his first bite, he sees a hair and starts crying. I try to calm him down with my belt, but it only makes things worse, no way, the evening is ruined. My wife regrets the time I returned with her after the war, and my nephew doesn't want to eat at our place anymore (especially your hairy pizza). Now I'm sitting here alone, in my '82 armchair, eating your cookies that help me go to the bathroom.

22/05/2026: We stayed at this agriturismo only one night (unfortunately), but we immediately fell in love with the place. Antonella and her husband, Enzo, are wonderful, genuine people who run their farm with passion. We also had the pleasure of tasting their own produce and that of neighboring farms, all expertly prepared by Antonella and served in a hearty, delicious breakfast. If you're looking for a genuine agritourism experience in one of the most beautiful areas of eastern Sicily, this agriturismo is perfect for you. I hope to relive the experience of staying in this area soon, meet Antonella and Enzo again, and have the privilege of enjoying their cuisine again. Thank you for your hospitality, and see you soon.

27/12/2025: An experience not to be repeated: few starters and nothing at all, only bread at will, desserts less than starters, frozen food and the embarrassment of advertising this place to my relatives.

27/04/2026: Naively, as tourists in Avola, we wanted to give this little-known town some credit, but we were deeply disappointed. Unfortunately, we stumbled upon this local bar that shamelessly mocked us. €18 for two Aperol Spritzes + €3 service charge: a complete rip-off. Very low quality, and you had to pay for bagged chips. Never before. Clearly touristy treatment. Not recommended.

05/03/2026: Hit and miss with this one… cappuccino’s great, food was ok, staff didn’t speak English a lot of English but we made it work. We spent most of our time outside on the terrace.

28/02/2026: Saturday morning, family breakfast. We had a chocolate ravioli that we found a hair on and they replaced it without even a word of apology. We also had an empty croissant to which I added custard. The croissant was good, but the cream was completely collapsed and runny, and the croissant was also sent back. We also had two cannoli filled on the spot. The ricotta was very good, but the crust (even though it was homemade) was very hard. I don't know what happened to this pastry shop that was once the pride of the city. Everything we ordered was subpar. What a shame.

28/02/2026: For my eighteenth birthday, a unique and unrepeatable event, I requested a black and gold cake. On the pastry chef's advice, I agreed to make it DARK blue and GOLD, trusting their experience. When it was time to cut it, I was presented with a LIGHT BLUE and SILVER cake, completely different from what we'd agreed upon. The cake was a different color, a different style, a different concept. The writing was practically illegible and didn't even begin to reflect the requested style. The overall effect was far removed from what I'd ordered. It was embarrassing to cut a cake that didn't even begin to represent what I'd chosen for such an important evening. The next day, I called to speak to Mr. Brancato. I was told he wasn't available, so I informed the person who answered the phone. He apologized for the inconvenience and assured me he'd have Mr. Brancato call me back. Three days passed, and no one heard from me. No explanation, no formal apology, no proposal for a solution. Mistakes happen. A lack of professionalism in handling them, however, is a choice. For an important event, I recommend looking elsewhere, someone who knows how to listen to the client and respects the agreements made.
