29/08/2025: Last Saturday, I spent an evening at this bar on the Roccalumera seafront, strategically located with a picturesque view of the Strait.
The modern, pleasant atmosphere puts you at ease, allowing you to relax and enjoy an excellent aperitif with background music.
I had an excellent whiskey sour, expertly crafted with a perfect blend of various ingredients.
I recommend this lovely establishment because the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, with excellent bar and cuisine. Affordable prices.

02/11/2025: Frozen fish, inedible seafood linguine, rubbery mussels, horrible shrimp, limp pasta. Salmon pennette that didn't even smell like it, just tasted like cream.
I don't know how you can call it a restaurant. I cook better at home.
P.S.: I'm editing my review after reading the response. It's all bullshit. I didn't bother anyone, nor did I treat the waiters badly (like slaves), especially because I've known Andrea for a long time. Negative reviews are for self-improvement, not for making up excuses. So, in addition to improving your cooking, improve this as well.

The lady who seated us wasn't at all friendly, but the guy, on the contrary, was helpful and smiling.
The dishes are inedible. My wife had paccheri with shrimp and radicchio, and they were drowning in oil. I had seafood linguine....tasteless. Consider that I live in a touristy seaside town and I can tell a good dish apart, but you won't find this food even in low-end restaurants.

07/11/2025: We ordered 3 portions of fish and chips and squid to take away. The food was prepared very slowly. (approx. 20-30 minutes) When paying, it turned out that we could not pay by card, only cash. The paper cone we received contained very little squid, but at least it was expensive. We will not go here again, I do not recommend it.

08/08/2025: What can I say? I went there with a friend and we ate a series of unpleasant fish dishes, each one better than the last, accompanied by an excellent local wine.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was very popular.

20/09/2025: We've celebrated in the colorful, decorated room several times... the quality of the food is superb... the fried mix is crispy and not greasy... the rustici are so good you can't explain... but I'll focus on the arancini, DELICIOUS!!!!
Soft and crunchy focaccia, tasty and well-filled... what can I say... try it and believe it! I highly recommend it!
26/08/2025: A small town pizzeria, a bit run-down in its layout but excellent in service and food quality, especially the pizzas, with a well-leavened, soft dough and perfectly cooked.
Average prices for pizzas but significantly below average for drinks.
Excellent service, the place could use some renovation.
I ordered takeout.

21/09/2025: Rude staff, I asked for a table and they told me there were no tables available when there were two occupied tables in the entire room, the others to be cleared were non-existent at the seats according to the waitress..... first and last time I set foot in this place because of the lack of tact and non-existent education, also when leaving the place the workers behind the counter were muttering something among themselves RUDE not knowing this is the welcome... then you complain when you miss work RIDICULOUS!

10/11/2025: I had a good experience at Da Zia Katia. We ordered frittura di pesce, antipasto casereccio, cozze e vongole. Everything was really delicious, however the grilled octopus wasn't grilled totally cold. The waitress was a little busy but very attentive.

11/10/2025: The traditional dishes are very good, but the place is a bit dark and could use a refresh. Time seems to have stopped somewhere between the '80s and '90s.
20/05/2025: An old pastry shop in Messina. Known for its excellent homemade cannoli, and much more, it's deliciously freshly made, along with ice cream, granitas, and more. Everything is delicious. You'll find excellent desserts and a very friendly service. The owner is an excellent person and very professional.

07/08/2025: I stopped by the Plaza bar by chance for pizza, and to my surprise, it was excellent, not burnt, and had a great flavor. I was truly satisfied, and I'll be back with my wife.
09/07/2025: Questionable from a culinary perspective.
Pasta was out of stock, some pizzas were unavailable. The pizzas served looked like frozen goods – no one ate more than half.
Mozzarella salad came with jelly. No comment.
Okay for ice cream and a drink. Better to go somewhere else for food.

13/09/2025: Excellent seafood dinner. Dishes were divinely cooked with generous portions. The house wine was worthy of the food. We had a divine dinner and will definitely return. Please note that this review is written by a Neapolitan who knows his way around seafood.
