08/01/2026: Dear [SICILY FOOD], I would like to file a formal complaint regarding what happened this evening at your restaurant. I went to your business with my daughter to eat. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with evident superficiality by the staff, who informed us that we could not sit in the dining room due to a lack of staff, requiring payment in advance as a condition for seating. Although we found this disrespectful to the customer, we accepted. Once we entered the dining room, we found the hygiene conditions unacceptable: the tables and floor were visibly dirty. For this reason, disgusted, we decided not to eat there and to take the food away. The situation further worsened when, during food preparation, while the focaccia was being cut, my daughter noticed a large cockroach on the counter. I immediately reported the incident to the staff on site. Despite the seriousness of the incident, I still paid and left the premises, but I consider what happened to be extremely serious from a hygiene and health perspective and from a customer-facing perspective. I would like to express my profound disappointment and inform you that, in light of this experience, I will not be returning to your establishment. I hope, however, that immediate measures will be taken to ensure adequate hygiene conditions and more respectful customer treatment. Kind regards,

03/12/2025: Nice place, although it could be better managed with a little imagination. It lacks a greater Sicilian touch. If you want to be original, you have to sell only Sicilian and local products and not other goods you find in supermarkets.

23/02/2026: Interesting, but pleasant, concept. No menus or prices. Just order a drink and get something delicious. Then surprisingly your table gets covered with loads of hot & cold snacks. Fantastic if you haven't eaten, possibly a waste if you're not hungry. Regarding cost, of course this concept is a bit of a risk. But we were very pleasantly surprised - €11 each for awesome cocktails and enough munchies for dinner for us. I'd definitely go again.

11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.

05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

13/01/2026: Who doesn't enjoy swimming in a pool with cigarettes butts. Good things swimming caps are mandatory, but too bad no one told us it's not forced anyway, and in the end we didn't have to buy those swimming caps I guess. No lifeguard at the pool. Loud partying noises till 3am. When at 2am I called reception, because I couldn't sleep, they told me "1 hour" and left the phone hanging, so if you are planning your RELAXING STAY/VACATION it would probably be better to avoid this hotel.

05/01/2026: We stayed here for the first two days and the last day of a tour. The motto: great at the front, terrible at the back. We had a "handicapped room" for two nights. Large, with a balcony and a sea view. It was fine! On the last day, we had a room at the back. Small, with a view of slum-like alleys. Water reached the middle of the bathroom when we showered. On the day of departure, at 6:15 a.m. (it was still dark outside), the power outage in the room! We had to pack our suitcases using our cell phone lights! Later, we received no response, apology, or anything like that at reception. And why can't they replace this "balcony furniture"?

11/10/2025: The traditional dishes are very good, but the place is a bit dark and could use a refresh. Time seems to have stopped somewhere between the '80s and '90s.

28/02/2026: The pistachio granita wasn't good, it was very oxidized; the others were average. The brioche was good.

14/02/2026: A €10 Spritz...in the little bar in the Torre Faro square. Need I say more? It seems truly offensive. And I don't want to be harsh on the judgement. THE OWNERS SHOULD SIMPLY BE ASHAMED.

01/08/2025: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo in questo ristorante, su una bella terrazza con vista mare. Abbiamo mangiato pane cunzato, frittura mista, spiedini di pesce spada. Buon cibo, piatti tipici, servizio veloce e prezzi adeguati.

22/07/2025: Luftiger Terasse, Blick aufs Meer, sehr gutes Essen: Pizza blitzschnell am Tischund köstlich,,Risotto und Nudel absolut top! Hauswein kühl und leicht. Absolut empfehlenswert!

01/01/2026: I beg you, take my advice. The people who cook have no idea how to make even a plate of spaghetti with clams. The quality of the ingredients is terrible. Plus, the prices are incredibly high. And the owner talks nonsense and makes fun of you: the Mazzara shrimp, which were actually huge and frozen solid, were actually frozen. The location is beautiful, but I highly recommend eating anywhere but this one. They're too bad.

03/05/2025: Veramente con grande disappunto, perché un locale dovrebbe rispondere al primo squillo mi dispiace tanto anche perché ci sono stata in passata e mi ero trovata bene quindi a questo punto devo dire che il servizio è pessimo il fatto che non si possa prenotare senza rischiare che poi magari si arriva fin là e non si trova posto

04/04/2026: Very cute cafe with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Just how we imagine an Italian atmosphere. Very tasty fresh squeezed red orange juice. Phenomenal view of the square!

03/04/2026: The frappe was far too expensive for just a bit of whipped cream and strawberries, and the crepe was rock hard. I unfortunately cannot recommend it!

21/09/2025: After calling and being told no reservation was needed, I showed up at 1:50 PM and they told me they'd sold out. They should organize themselves better. Luckily, they were able to find a solution in the area. It's a shame about the location, although basic, it could be better managed! 😮‍💨

11/09/2025: Sandwiches/sausage/pasta... Everything they make is delicious.

28/12/2025: The service was quite poor...It was something like: + Are you open? - Yes, of course we are We sit down, the waiter comes and we order. Few minutes later, he brings the drinks and says: - "I am sorry guys but I forgot to tell you that we're closing in 30 minutes." Then, having shots with the employees in front of the customers when they are queueing up is not very professional (secondo mie...) Expensive as the main street in Taormina, spritz senza amore...

03/11/2025: Cozy little place! BUT 12 euros for a bottle of beer - it must be one of the most expensive in town. It was definitely our most expensive beer on our entire vacation
