07/06/2026: Nice enough place however despite their website showing a host of facilities, they were all closed....no pool, no roof terrace, no outside bar. We were very disappointed. So check before you book, I would guess that if everything is open it would be a great place to stay. There's not too much in the area to do but the beach is lovely. Most of the local restaurants were also closed so unable to comment on local food.

24/05/2026: Located opposite the beach, the hotel is immaculate with spacious, clean rooms and terraces. One small drawback: we had booked specifically to use the pool... but on the day we arrived... we were told the pool wasn't open, which was a huge disappointment.

31/05/2026: What can I say?! Horrible experience. Over an hour of waiting for horrible pizzas, some wrong, some served raw, truly shameful. Not to mention the music—a DJ in a pizzeria, at ungodly volumes and with a selection that would make even the most vulgar Italian slob cringe. One of the worst experiences of my life.

31/05/2026: Total disorganization at the port. Terrible experience. The restaurant is located at the port, but its location doesn't justify such shoddy management. We waited a full hour for our pizzas, and to make matters worse, they arrived incorrectly. Adding insult to injury, the quality was truly poor, with decidedly undercooked dough and a pizza that was anything but good. The music choice also made the entire evening even more annoying and intolerable: a decidedly improbable playlist, played at such a high volume that it was impossible to even exchange a few words at the table. Inattentive service, disappointing cuisine, and a chaotic atmosphere. We absolutely won't be returning.

08/01/2026: Dear [SICILY FOOD], I would like to file a formal complaint regarding what happened this evening at your restaurant. I went to your business with my daughter to eat. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with evident superficiality by the staff, who informed us that we could not sit in the dining room due to a lack of staff, requiring payment in advance as a condition for seating. Although we found this disrespectful to the customer, we accepted. Once we entered the dining room, we found the hygiene conditions unacceptable: the tables and floor were visibly dirty. For this reason, disgusted, we decided not to eat there and to take the food away. The situation further worsened when, during food preparation, while the focaccia was being cut, my daughter noticed a large cockroach on the counter. I immediately reported the incident to the staff on site. Despite the seriousness of the incident, I still paid and left the premises, but I consider what happened to be extremely serious from a hygiene and health perspective and from a customer-facing perspective. I would like to express my profound disappointment and inform you that, in light of this experience, I will not be returning to your establishment. I hope, however, that immediate measures will be taken to ensure adequate hygiene conditions and more respectful customer treatment. Kind regards,

09/12/2025: SicilyFood in Terme Vigliatore is a great spot for authentic Sicilian products. It works perfectly as a deli, bakery and rosticceria, with fresh bread, focaccia, meats and ready-to-eat options. I went there with friends on a few weekends to buy everything we needed for our barbecues, and it was always great. Some of my best memories in Terme Vigliatore come from those moments with my Brazilian friends, and SicilyFood was a big part of that.

17/05/2026: I had a piece of pizza, it was very weak, but the super owner and excellent beer saved it and go for it. Ice cream.

16/05/2026: The first place to go for breakfast if you arrive early, for example, from the Naples ferry at 6:30 am. Two cappuccinos, which were only lukewarm, and a pizza croissant 👌 - €8.50, not bad. The service was a bit slow, but the waitress was really busy, as several ferry passengers were ordering their breakfasts there. You won't find a menu with prices, though 🫤. Views of the sea, harbor, and hillside, and right next to the road.

10/06/2026: I enter politely, without looking at the price. I'm sitting right at the entrance and no one comes to serve me, so I get up and go to the counter. The waiter is eating and laughing; I wait patiently and calmly tell him it's okay if he's eating something. He prepares me a spritz, brings it to the table himself, drinks it, and gets up to pay—and he continues eating and laughing in my face. As a polite customer, who has paid and essentially served himself, I ask what's so funny. He responds: "I always laugh." A place that leaves customers seated without a word, and staff that mistake service for a private moment, with an unprofessional attitude toward those who enter. The spritz was decent, but the welcome was not.

17/10/2025: Do you know what "shrinkflation" is? Essentially, it's when the price of a product is kept the same but the quantity is reduced. These rustici cost €1.50 and would once have been called mini-sized... now, however, they're the "normal" size. Very good, yes, but small and therefore expensive. P.S. I understand the answer, but in that case, there are two options: everyone else uses much lower-quality raw materials, or they have a lower profit margin. (The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.)

29/10/2025: Excellent pastry shop, good and tasty ice creams, I'm also satisfied with the good pastries accompanied by the delicious cakes, the friendliness of the staff makes it excellent, I loved the numerous croissants for their true goodness, for my excellent breakfast that accompanies me every morning. If you find yourself passing by Viale Annunziata, stop by and sit down to enjoy the excellent coffee with a good croissant, as well as taking home the delicious pastries.

11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.

05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)
