10/09/2025: Never eaten so badly... grilled fish, ask if the fish is fresh, they tell you yes, then some third-rate frozen ones arrive... seafood risotto, a shrimp from the Co-op (frozen), maybe fresh mussels then watered down, meat that even the dog had trouble chewing, you complain at the cashier and they also pretend to be right.

06/09/2025: We went for a family dinner, remembering the excellent experience we had two summers ago. The restaurant is still the same, well-located in the center of Oliveri and with a large, comfortable outdoor space. The first signs of concern were the signs posted on the door: "Open only in the evenings" and "Due to lack of staff, there may be a long wait"... We ordered the caponata because it had been sublime, the mixed fried fish, which was plentiful and very fresh, and the mussels. The caponata turned out to be decidedly bland, lacking the typical sweet and sour flavor and in a small portion, served with croutons completely soaked in oil. The fried food was presented in a basic manner and the product was obviously frozen (flavorless shrimp and a single prawn). The calamari rings were decent, but the florets were lost in the batter. The mussels were decent. Unfortunately, we've crossed the restaurant off our bucket list, knowing we'd find an alternative nearby (Falcone) that has not only maintained its quality and flavors over time, but has actually improved exponentially.

03/09/2025: Truly awful, the focaccia and rustici are obscene. It's inedible by my standards, I had stomach problems for days. I can't understand how focaccia can be sold for €16 a kilo and still be so awful.

28/06/2025: Restaurant and bar for friends and acquaintances. You are in company and always laugh. Daily menu and always fresh. Good food and excellent service.

18/08/2025: I received a review notice from my daughter for the best Pasta alla Norma I've ever eaten. I, who am the father and have been cooking for 40 years, was put aside by her for telling me that this one she ate was better than mine at least 10 times. Does that mean I'm a bad cook? No, it's simply because La Scala makes an exceptional Pasta alla Norma and I know my daughter is a great foodie! Thanks guys, my little girl is happy tonight! I'll come visit you as soon as possible.

17/08/2025: We went for dinner last night. The service was excellent; the waiters were kind, friendly, and attentive. The fish appetizers were delicious (a bit pricey, but in line with the quality of the fish). The grilled fish main course was also very good. It was a shame about the first course and the dessert. The spaghetti with clams was tasteless; perhaps it wasn't mixed well enough, but it tasted like plain spaghetti with clams on the side. It's a shame because the cooking and quality of the spaghetti were excellent. The dessert, on the other hand (a deconstructed cannoli with ricotta, capers, and lemon) was definitely not worth the €12 price tag. It was very stringy, perhaps because of the gelatine, but it wasn't to my liking (perhaps just my personal taste). Overall, it's a restaurant with great potential, and with a few more tweaks to the kitchen, it could be a top-notch restaurant. I would recommend not setting the prices for desserts or side dishes so high. The risk is that it would come across as overly pretentious, setting high expectations that might not be met.

15/08/2025: Unfortunately, this year was terrible. Chef Gianluca was good, he brought a good name and good dishes, but by changing chefs and keeping the same dishes, the result is clear. Less than inadequate. P.S.: Customers don't argue :) If I say there's NO citrus fruit in my dish (and I eat the dish, not the waiter), you can't tell me it's not true. If the menu says spaghetti with shrimp AND citrus fruit, citrus fruit MUST BE there. Last but not least, the pasta seemed precooked. Change chefs or lower the prices.

04/08/2025: I've been coming to this pizzeria for years. The pizza is truly excellent, with fresh, quality ingredients. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend it!!!

04/08/2025: Yesterday for lunch, two of us chose just one first course: Linguine allo scoglio, and we expected to enjoy a good first course, given the price (€18). We waited about an hour for our linguine to arrive at the table...what can I say, it seemed like a joke (not to mention a scam!). The pasta was horrible: undercooked, dry, and the seafood was left in the sea! We paid about €50, including service charge and water...because at least we are honest people!

23/05/2025: I visited this café as a tourist speaking NO Italian, (only Si, Grazi, and Por Favore) and was treated very kindly and welcomingly by the barista who helped me find the pastry I wanted and made me a beautiful cappuccino!

25/08/2025: Dearest ooooo.. ...I understood the wide choice... cold products, I asked to heat them up for the children no response we add the very expensive prices I had a stomach ache the whole time I returned.... never again...

24/08/2025: The pizza was excellent, but the service was a bit poor. The wait for a pizza was an hour and a half.

19/08/2025: I asked for a coffee and was refused because I had a 20 note and he only wanted coins.

11/08/2025: Very good pizza, perfectly cooked. Super friendly staff, family-run restaurant, great prices. It's hard to find anything like it in Giardini Naxos.

21/08/2025: A disappointment! We asked for a yellow bubble and were presented with a 2017 with no other choice. Not suitable for our dinner. The fish selection was disappointing. The tuna was overcooked. The lemon sorbet was chemical.

08/08/2025: I have a constructive criticism. Both the focaccia and the rustici could be improved by changing the quality of the flour and its processing. The focaccia dough is always rubbery and hard to digest, as are the pidoni and arancini, which taste bland and lack true Sicilian quality and goodness. What a shame.

20/07/2025: It will probably be good to eat!? We haven't had the chance to evaluate it!!! 😥 after having immediately placed an order, after about 45" we were informed that the order had not been sent to the kitchen 🥴 and it would no longer be possible due to the time, to prepare it... So we opted for another order, which we reluctantly did by halving the courses, only to be told again that this one too would take too long... To accommodate us, they could have made us something quick on the grill 🥴. It's really true that there is always something to learn, in all the years that I have been going to restaurants, this is the first and only time that it has happened to me. 😥

05/05/2025: Even though it has been around for decades, it was the first time I set foot there. The restaurant is spread over two floors. Rooms not very large but welcoming. The waitresses (all women) are friendly and efficient. I ate well. Advised!
