30/05/2026: Excellent horse meat sandwich 🐎, flavorful, well-prepared, and made with quality ingredients. The veal and chicken skewers were also fabulous, cooked to perfection and truly delicious. Everything was exceptional, from the quality of the food to the care taken in preparing the dishes.
The option of seating both inside and outside was also greatly appreciated, in a welcoming, clean, and well-organized environment. Despite its location in the heart of the city, the prices are absolutely fair and competitive; honestly, I expected to spend much more.
Special praise goes to all the staff: always smiling, kind, helpful, and attentive to customer needs. It's rare to find such friendly and professional staff, capable of making everyone feel welcome and at ease. Their passion for their work is evident in every detail and contributes to making the experience even more enjoyable.
My sincere compliments to the entire team for their commitment, courtesy, and excellent service. It's one of those places you'll want to return to, both for the excellent food and the positive atmosphere. It'll definitely become one of my regular stops, and I can't wait to return more often. Well done, keep it up!
05/05/2026: Pizzeria, sandwich shop, and burger joint in the center of Messina, next to the cathedral. Eat in, on the terrace, or get takeout. We tried their famous Sicilian sandwiches. Every Italian was eating a hot one, but you're better off sticking with the pizzas.

The lady, yes, was nice enough, but the gentleman, the owner, is a total clown. He was truly rude and impolite both upon arrival and during service. It's a shame because the attitude of the management makes all the difference. I won't be returning. Hospitality is an optional extra, not included.

23/11/2025: This review is about the shop aboard the Caronte & Tourist ferry that shuttles between Messina and Villa Sangiovanni. Terrible arancini. Cold and flavorless. Undrinkable Aperol Spritz. Yes, I know...I shouldn't have had high expectations considering I was on a ferry, but damn it...you're the gateway to Sicily, you should take advantage of it, and yet, even the staff is one-star. The person who served us looked like they were doing us a favor!
12/11/2025: It's getting worse. Arancini cost €2, and today I discovered they're frozen. Piping hot on the outside, still frozen on the inside. Shame! They're getting more and more expensive, and the quality-price ratio is getting worse. A slice of reheated focaccia that cost €1.70 a few years ago is now €4.00. I left it where it was. Don't let these speculators waste your money on people's travel.

10/01/2026: Delivery was two hours late, some pizzas were burned, others were raw, and lacked toppings. We tried calling several times, and they only answered after an hour.
10/01/2026: I ordered a pizza for 8:30 and it arrived at 10:30. The pizza was completely empty and burned. Totally disappointed.

10/07/2026: We were seated at the table. The waiter came to take our order, and when we said we only wanted drinks, he said: "No, this is a lunch table; we can have coffee somewhere else." Then he took our menus and indicated that we weren't getting anything there. Totally unfriendly; normally, the waiter should have clarified that when seating us.

I went once and I won't be back.
Update 2026, 2 years have passed, as a contrast. I came here because of friends, in 2 years it's gotten even worse!!! EMPTY sandwiches
10/03/2026: I went on Saturday night with my friends and the sandwiches were also good, after eating them all including me we had bad stomachs for several days, no one had eaten anything else during the evening and we all felt terrible afterwards 😡😡

09/06/2026: House red wine from a Tetra Pak served ice-cold in juice glasses, the Maccheroni Norma were good, the service was unmotivated and grumpy, but the view of Naxos was fabulous.
Each dish was €1 more expensive on the bill than on the menu, plus a €2.50 cover charge.
Conclusion: Not recommended! There are many better restaurants in Castelmola!
27/05/2026: Stunning sea view, but the lack of customers should have been a red flag. The welcome was incredibly unpleasant, with cutlery practically thrown on the table.
The pasta was good, but the mussels in the risotto were clearly not fresh.
The service was deplorable, and the owners showed absolutely no friendliness.
The final surprise was the bill: the tomato and mozzarella starter was €27. Clearly outrageous considering the small portion. In plain terms, this kind of restaurant is a rip-off!
Absolutely avoid this place!!!

18/01/2026: I returned to this pizzeria after a while, and I honestly found the behavior of the waitress who served us unacceptable (black hair and dark glasses). I swear I've never had such a bad experience. I KINDLY asked for a replacement glass because, even though I hadn't used it, it was dirty. The response was incredibly rude. Leaving that aside, I asked for a small change to the pizza: that the basil pesto be removed. Of course, they brought me a pizza with 3 kg of basil pesto on top, and it was loaded with salt, so I left it all. The fries were completely raw. I don't know what happened to this place because in the past years, I remember having always eaten very well... what a shame.
