23/08/2025: Here's the deal. 7:00 PM. We arrive and find a tall waiter who, without offense, we could describe as apathetic and expressionless. We ask: can we sit down for a drink? He looks around and points to a table: in a moment his colleague cleans the table. Maybe we should also pass her a cloth because there was something spilled on the table.... Beyond him are two other girls, one with her arms folded and the other—well, not even those. I imagine the owner is happy to pay them for this. We wait, then wait some more, then leave. And at the lido next door, two proseccos served by the sea in three minutes and lots of smiles. Terrible service is an understatement. Not recommended.

22/08/2025: The place is worth it, it is definitely worth a visit, staying there gives you the impression of being in a magical place immersed in canals and boats, even if some areas are a bit shabby.

03/05/2025: Very disappointing experience. I went to the "Chiosco dei Colli" on May 1st for a picnic with friends. The place is nice, with wooden tables and seats, but for 23 euros I was served a miserable menu (the mixed grill consisted of a small knot of sausage each and a skewer of chops...) The most unpleasant thing, however, is that, despite having paid and consumed there, I was denied the possibility of using a bathroom for the child, with the excuse that "they don't have it anymore". I find it absurd that an establishment that serves food on site does not provide a toilet, as required by law. I will not return and do not recommend it, especially to families or people with healthcare needs.

06/04/2025: Very bad. Unjustifiably expensive. To be avoided. Supplement of €1 for the choice of having the dish on the plate (plastic) to be added to €8.50 for 4 cutlets and 2 lettuce leaves. I leave aside the quality of the poor chops in terms of quality and quantity. Very disappointed. I'm sorry because I respect other people's work.

20/07/2025: It will probably be good to eat!? We haven't had the chance to evaluate it!!! 😥 after having immediately placed an order, after about 45" we were informed that the order had not been sent to the kitchen 🥴 and it would no longer be possible due to the time, to prepare it... So we opted for another order, which we reluctantly did by halving the courses, only to be told again that this one too would take too long... To accommodate us, they could have made us something quick on the grill 🥴. It's really true that there is always something to learn, in all the years that I have been going to restaurants, this is the first and only time that it has happened to me. 😥

05/05/2025: Even though it has been around for decades, it was the first time I set foot there. The restaurant is spread over two floors. Rooms not very large but welcoming. The waitresses (all women) are friendly and efficient. I ate well. Advised!

27/08/2025: Fresh, tasty, and freshly fried fish. Friendly staff, located on the main street of Canneto. The owner even gave us complimentary bruschetta to start. A lovely lunch on our first day in the Aeolian Islands.

01/08/2025: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo in questo ristorante, su una bella terrazza con vista mare. Abbiamo mangiato pane cunzato, frittura mista, spiedini di pesce spada. Buon cibo, piatti tipici, servizio veloce e prezzi adeguati.

22/07/2025: Luftiger Terasse, Blick aufs Meer, sehr gutes Essen: Pizza blitzschnell am Tischund köstlich,,Risotto und Nudel absolut top! Hauswein kühl und leicht. Absolut empfehlenswert!

16/09/2025: Really good bakery and coffe shop, just near the Theather. Nice atmosphere and service, real Italian family bussines.

07/09/2025: The americano coffe went today ( 7/9/25) from 2€ at 10:15 to 3€ at 17:50 i didn't say a word to the smiley lady who took my money im on holidays and not going to have an argument for an euro, but here is my warning to you...in reaity im curious maybe if i come back at 21h..... will it be even more expensive or cheaper?? Aaaah the wonders and surprises a tourist has to endure someplaces.....

19/05/2025: I went in to eat something without much hope (it was 3 pm) but after a simple glance at the few sandwiches present I left in a hurry. I have never understood why hospital bars must necessarily be depressing...

23/09/2025: The pizza was delicious, but the wait was too long. An hour and a half for a pizza seems too long.

18/08/2025: A horrifying experience. First time in Montalbano Elicona (a delightful little village, by the way), we decided to stop at this pizzeria in the middle of the pine forest. We sat down at a table at 8:35, and no one brought us menus or water until we flagged down the waiters, who were apparently extremely busy serving the tables outside. We ordered around 9, ordering four pizzas, two of which were the same. The drinks we'd ordered weren't available (I'm talking about a standard Coke Zero and a Corona), despite them offering alternatives. One of the four pizzas wasn't available because the ingredients weren't there, so we had to change our order. So far, nothing special. Then the drama: the wait. We had to wait over an hour and a half for four pizzas. After an hour, we asked how the pizzas we'd ordered were coming along, and instead of apologizing for the wait, we were told it wasn't their fault because there was only one oven and we'd have to wait a couple more orders. I should point out that the restaurant ONLY served pizzas; a single oven to serve 45-50 tables in one evening might be a bit limited. Needless to say, by the time the pizzas arrived, we'd already lost our appetite (and the drinks had also been finished). However, we were delighted to notice that while we were waiting, the waiters and pizza chefs stopped to chat with other customers from the town, making the wait even more unnerving. We got up to pay and were allowed to go ahead of us by some "friends" of the restaurant owners. When we paid the bill, no apology was offered for the wait, nor was there any attempt to remedy the situation. Even though the pizza was good, I wouldn't recommend going there under any circumstances.

17/06/2025: We went there on a Sunday for lunch and what can I say? A classic place with home-made stuff.

28/09/2025: Bad frozen pizza, prices comparable to other restaurants in the area but much less good

04/09/2025: The dishes are good, but without presentation, it is unloaded onto the plate. The service is simple. Dessert from the freezer

12/09/2025: We ate some pizzas, which were inedible.

04/09/2025: The pizza is decent and the location is very nice, but all of this is overshadowed by the staff, which to call inadequate is an understatement.

06/10/2025: We arrived around 9:15 pm and were greeted very coldly, feeling like we were intruding. We couldn't get a menu: we were simply told that there were only a few glasses of wine, beer, or cocktails left. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine... the latter was clearly a leftover bottle with a deposit, charged at €10 per glass. There was no opportunity for a snack, and the waiter stayed behind the bar on his phone, apparently waiting for us to leave to join his friends in the neighboring restaurant. A truly disappointing experience, to be avoided.

21/08/2025: A disappointment! We asked for a yellow bubble and were presented with a 2017 with no other choice. Not suitable for our dinner. The fish selection was disappointing. The tuna was overcooked. The lemon sorbet was chemical.
