09/08/2026: Excellent bar right off the Brolo toll booth. It also has a tobacconist and newsstand. It's a great place to stop on the Palermo-Messina route, as there are almost no rest stops on the highway.

03/06/2026: Lunch on June 2nd, set menu, very busy restaurant, yet excellent service and very little wait. Excellent food, accompanied by the owner's friendliness. Kudos to all the staff who managed the dining room and to the chef for the excellent lunch. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely visit you again. Thank you 👋

11/08/2026: Too expensive as a place, little to say, 2 workers made me pay 64 euros for 1 carbonara, 1 sandwich with burger and a second course, 3 drinks, 1 coffee, never again, sorry

06/06/2026: I was lucky enough to spend a week in Sicily for a conference. The food was excellent everywhere, but the best meal my husband and I had was at Teatro44. We were hoping to find a quieter spot off the main thoroughfare in Taormina. The location was lovely, but the food was truly exceptional. Every bite from the focaccia in the bread basket to the meatball main dish delivered a "wow" moment. Absolutely delicious. Even the aperol spritz was just better than average. Less sweet, more complex. Perfect to linger over.

26/05/2026: The menu showed promise but was very pricey which raised our expectations. The service was friendly but extremely slow. The King Prawns at an extortionate €38 missed the ‘s’ at the end, as it was in fact one single prawn priced like a fancy lobster. It was tasty but took so long to arrive that we barely noticed the flavour due to hunger. Similarly the long awaited Wagyu beef was some paper thin slithers of beef on top of a huge amount of brioche at €35. Another incredibly long wait later and some cold pasta turned up which was underwhelming. It felt like they tried too hard and just couldn’t deliver. Neither on time nor on quality. The waitress was nice but we think she was also cooking the food which may explain some of the problems. It wasn’t even that busy so no idea how it took so long but at €100 per head I expect food to be warm, on time and delicious. I am giving it a generous extra star as some of the food was tasty. But the price was so outrageous that they simply have to deliver better. We ended up not eating much of the pasta as it was cold and due the the overall letdown of the evening we challenged the price in a polite manner. The staff reacted by threatening to call the police on us which ended the night on a new low.

04/06/2026: My friend and I had the opportunity to stay at this property last week, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves... a truly fantastic property, surrounded by nature, with a tranquility that's good for your health!!! The location is meticulously maintained, down to the smallest detail, and the restaurant is very welcoming and sophisticated... we stopped for dinner a few evenings, and the quality of the food was excellent, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients used to prepare the delicious dishes!!! I highly recommend staying for a few days in this location, which offers spectacular views of unforgettable sunsets and excellent food! There's also a beautiful pool for relaxing between excursions... Pina runs everything with her family, and I must say they do an excellent job!!! Thank you, Pina, Ilenia, and Giuseppe, for making our stay unforgettable!!!

09/08/2026: A real treat for seafood lovers. Trattoria Ai G echi was one of the pleasant surprises of our stay in Stromboli. Truly excellent seafood cuisine and carefully prepared dishes. A special mention goes to the first courses: truly excellent, so much so that they were among the best seafood first courses we've eaten. Well-balanced flavors, carefully selected ingredients, and a quality that can be felt in every bite. The wine selection is also very good, a pleasant complement to the experience, and the view that accompanies the dinner is truly beautiful, making the atmosphere even more pleasant. The second courses are good, although, in our opinion, they don't reach the same level as the first courses, which are definitely the strong point of the cuisine. Overall, a truly positive gastronomic experience. A place we absolutely recommend and where I would gladly return.

12/08/2026: Riviera is truly one of our favorite places in Sicily! We come here every year, and it has become a tradition that Riviera is always our first stop when we arrive in Sicily. It simply wouldn’t feel like we were back without coming here. The food is consistently incredible fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The seafood is outstanding, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is always warm and attentive. Year after year, the quality never disappoints. What makes Riviera especially memorable is the hospitality. We are always welcomed so warmly and made to feel at home from the moment we arrive. It’s more than just a restaurant for us; it’s part of our Sicily tradition and something we look forward to every year. If you’re visiting Santa Teresa di Riva, Riviera is an absolute must. We already can’t wait to come back next year. Grazie mille for always making our first meal in Sicily so special! 🇮🇹❤️
