15/02/2026: On Sunday 15th February, after a snowshoe hike on Mount Etna, we stopped at a restaurant in Fornazzo. We ate very well. The restaurant was well-furnished and the quality of the food was truly excellent. I recommend the strozzapreti with mushrooms and the pistachio tortellini prepared by them. The chef deserves 4/5 stars for the quality. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and welcoming.

14/02/2026: This bakery is only worth a visit because of the quality of its products, but the service is abysmal. I've been going there for years and have never received a receipt. The owners are incredibly rude; I've never heard a "thank you" or "goodbye." NEVER!
The management is completely disorganized, with zero courtesy; their only interest seems to be in making money.
The blonde lady is furious with every customer; over the years, I've heard her yell, loudly scold the employees in front of everyone, and even chase away customers who asked for toppings from the snack bar.
If you're a tourist, don't go to this bakery; we Sicilians are welcoming. The opposite of these people!
04/02/2026: One of my favorite bakeries since I lived in Catania. I recently returned to buy some stuff to share with my colleagues in Northern Italy. I found some prices a little higher on certain items, but whatever. The dry pizza, the tavola calda, and the bread are definitely worth trying!

16/03/2026: A very large bar with a wide assortment of products and a truly extensive selection. Unfortunately, some of the products I tried didn't seem very fresh.
The staff, except for the lady at the cash register, who was kind, wasn't particularly friendly. The gentleman at the deli counter in particular was quite unpleasant. I had the same impression at the other location, where some of the staff were surly and unhelpful.
Furthermore, the prices seemed rather high, both at the Piazza del Duomo and the Via Etnea locations.
Overall, there was a lot of choice, but the service and quality didn't convince me.

The service is excellent - the staff is very attentive, kind, and professional. 😊
The food was truly delicious: excellent cuisine, fantastic drinks, and wonderful desserts. 🍷🍰
The terrace deserves special mention; it's simply stunning. 🌿✨ From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city's main attractions, so it's the perfect place to relax, dine, and soak up the atmosphere of the city center. 😍

29/09/2025: Excellent, well-stocked delicatessen with a wide selection of cheeses and cured meats.
I bought the arancini with tomato sauce, butter, and eggplant, all excellent both for the breading and the top-quality ingredients. I bought them raw and fried on the spot, truly delicious. Perhaps the best arancini in Catania.

12/10/2025: The food quality was extremely poor. I'm not talking about personal taste, but rather quality. The risotto was extremely salty and inedible. The dessert, which was advertised as semifreddo pistachio, was actually pistachios with a little ricotta. It was completely inedible. Being celiac, I was only able to eat half of what was on my table, as if there were no gluten-free options on the market... truly embarrassing.
03/09/2025: The place is charming, rustic, well-kept. I ate the pizza. Let's say that the choice of ingredients could be improved.

A charming location nestled on the eastern coast of Sicily.
Recommended for Giovanni, couples, and families.
On a windy winter day, their cuisine took me back to the flavors of summer.
The only flaw that needs addressing is the overly homey and rushed customer service.

22/02/2026: The food tasted great and it was afordable.The staff was mostly okay. There was one of the staff who wasnt nice and didnt want to serve us. Everything else was good. The place was clean but parking was hard to get. It wasnt too full so it was Just normal.Thats it od what i can say.
03/02/2026: Both the breakfast and the hot food are excellent! We'll be back to try the deli, too! Highly recommended!

21/12/2025: This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.
09/12/2025: We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive!
We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.

12/10/2025: Simposio is an excellent venue in Piazza Dante Alighieri. A bar that's especially popular with a younger crowd. The food, snacks, and pastries are all fantastic. The owner and his staff are always friendly and welcoming. After an 18-year absence, this bar feels like home again. Thank you!
