Prestipino remains a must-stop whenever you're in Catania! From the coffee to the pastries, everything is exquisite. If I may make a point: Piazza Duomo offers a beautiful view, but the professionalism and courtesy they display on Via Etnea is a cut above. In any case, both are excellent and highly recommended!

A pleasant stop; the arancini and granita with brioche were truly delicious. Lovely atmosphere overlooking the square. The only downside is the pay-to-use restrooms with turnstiles, which are a bit inconvenient for customers who have to flag down a waiter for free access.

Located directly on Piazza del Doumo, with a lovely view of the tourist bustle. Framed by the historic fish market (at the back), the Basilica di Sant'Agata, the Chiesa della Badia, and the Fontana dell'Elefante, it offers a relaxing atmosphere at above-average prices. My wife's comment on the restrooms: Classic Sicilian style.

21/12/2025: This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.
09/12/2025: We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive! We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.

10/09/2025: Good bakery where I have been going for years now. I can say that the products are good, but there is one thing that really annoys me: every time I order a cake they always make it 600g more than yesterday... Meh...
