19/03/2026: Lovely place and staff. I often come to this little café for breakfast, and Giusy, one of the two baristas, always spoils me with her adorable little hearts on my cappuccino, all washed down with an excellent croissant with white cream.

10/07/2026: The review begins (and ends) with the surprise receipt, where, without any indication at the entrance or on the menu (as would have been correct), the price of the evening's music was added to the "Live music surcharge." A few euros per person for each cover charge, but essentially a hidden ticket charged at the end of the evening without any warning. Seriousness and the regulations require a completely different approach.

02/07/2026: Very disappointing! We waited a considerable amount of time for our food. The salad consisted mainly of corn and lettuce and was completely tasteless... truly disappointing... and then, when the bill arrived, we were charged extra! If the food had been worth it, the extra charge would be understandable, but it wasn't at all. The exterior is certainly attractive, but it's just an illusion. Avoid this place!

You can also dine in, though there are only a few tables available, and it can get a bit crowded at peak times. Furthermore, takeout is a popular option, offering a quick and convenient option for those who prefer to enjoy their meals elsewhere. The service is prompt, and the staff is always helpful, kind, and friendly. The price-to-quality ratio is a bit high, but it's completely justified by the delicious food and quality of the service. Another aspect that struck me was the open kitchen: as soon as you walk in, you immediately notice how tidy and clean it is, a detail that inspires great confidence. I highly recommend this deli to anyone who wants to eat well in a refined and welcoming environment. I will definitely be back!

20/06/2026: Almost everything was fine... until I saw a man enter the restaurant and go into the kitchen with two PVC shopping bags containing loose, unpackaged meat to be used in preparations...? It's 2026, and seeing these scenes is shocking... especially when done so casually that it seems like standard practice. Long live hygiene and compliance with the relevant health regulations for the transport and storage of foodstuffs.

10/06/2026: Excellently organized parking and strategically located. Hot showers, dish sinks, laundry sink, electricity, well-sorted waste collection, impeccable waste collection, shuttle service to the beach and to an excellent seaside restaurant (all-inclusive). Unfortunately, the parking lot has no shade, and some pitches overlook the sea but are above the road. We were here in early June on a weekday, so we weren't bothered by road noise or the sun. Very convenient for visiting the Scala dei Turchi, and the sea in this area is enchanting. The Valley of the Temples, however, is far away unless you have a scooter. The staff is friendly and helpful. The road to get there is convenient; we don't recommend going through the center of Porto Empedocle, especially if you have a long camper.

07/04/2026: Sometimes we go for an aperitif, we have a great time, the guys are always very kind, the aperitif is good and the price is reasonable.

01/04/2026: It's a really nice little place, with excellent breakfast options outside as well. Everything is very clean, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and very professional...they always welcome you with a big smile. Parking is also available. Highly recommended.

23/02/2026: I don't believe it's legal to have no working bathroom in a bar, with a clogged drain. I asked my diabetic mother if it was possible to go to the bathroom, but it was out of order for the reason mentioned above. Moral of the story: we're still third world here. Unfortunately, I won't tell you how it ended because you can already imagine it. It's truly a shame.

02/11/2025: It was a lovely evening, with a pleasant atmosphere and professional, friendly staff who were able to advise us on our choice of dishes. Fast service, reasonable prices, and excellent product quality. We'll gladly return.

11/10/2025: Friendly service. This was the only restaurant open for lunch on an October Friday when an annual festival was being set up. Pizzas were not available. That left pasta. The pistachio sauce was great. The pasta with mushroom sauce was watery and not particularly tasty. Big servings. A free serving of prickly pear, the local speciality.

21/12/2025: This restaurant is located at the beginning of the famous Caltagirone steps, and has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, especially the "La Scala" pasta, which we would have eaten again. The fries were hot and crispy, and the grilled meat was delicious. A great experience.

09/12/2025: We went for a company lunch! Everything was excellent! The place was welcoming and the set menu delicious! Italian appetizers (with special mention for the frittatina with peppers and caponata), two pasta dishes (one with walnut sauce and the other, the chef's signature, "la scala" with fennel and sausage), and dessert to finish! The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and attentive! We will definitely visit you again! Thank you.

28/12/2025: The worst place I've ever been in my life Dirty glasses Bagged cured meats from the worst suppliers 2 flavorless first courses described as pistachio pasta, but hopefully it was with cheese. To top it off, arrogant waiters. We're seated and can't wait to leave.

28/12/2025: We had lunch here as part of an organized tour of Caltagirone. Despite the fact that there were over 100 of us, service was managed promptly. The staff were available to answer any questions and try to accommodate every request. The owner was a wonderful person, helpful, kind, and approachable. We truly had a great lunch! I recommend it and will definitely be back!

15/05/2026: I remembered a great pastry shop. Today, it's dismal. Terrible granita. The brioche was dry and tasted stale. The coffee pods were poor quality. There was zero empathy and kindness.

18/04/2026: Even though we had booked by phone, we had to wait at the table for an hour to be able to eat the pizza... good, especially the mozzarella... the only flaw, which is not the pizzeria's fault, was the presence of a very noisy table!
