01/08/2025: Terrible experience. The tomato in the Margherita was poor. Making a good Margherita is the foundation. The only positive note was the waitress (not the owner), who was kind and cheerful. I'm sorry to have to leave this review, but it's unfair to offer this type of product considering the price paid.

06/03/2026: A traditional Sicilian fish restaurant in the deepest part of the harbor, right on the pier. The 1970s feel palpable. But the fish and seafood are incredibly fresh and delicious. For decades, classic seafood dishes have been served here at a very high level. They also offer rare gems of "peasant cuisine," such as salicornia with garlic and olive oil. Oysters and lobster are also on offer, not to mention pasta allo scoglio, topped with a variety of shellfish, not just the inexpensive mussels. The owner isn't getting any younger, but he runs the place with a steady hand, from the crates of seafood displayed at the entrance to the attentive service in the dining room. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, featuring some real gems. Here, you get a lot: classic dishes cooked to a high standard, without any modern gimmicks, all at very fair prices.

09/12/2025: Terrible. They don't give you a menu. The only thing you could eat for a starter was pasta with mussels, which was disgusting. Rude and disorganized. They were arguing with each other, and an elderly lady was yelling at the same time. Terrible service. Poorly set table with mismatched glasses. Exorbitant prices for the terrible quality. Absolutely avoid. Cash only.

21/10/2025: For me, this hotel has become a regular stopover when I work in the Catania area. My company and I choose it for its excellent location. There's ample parking, and the building and rooms are a bit dated, but they're spacious and equipped with everything you need. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. We usually opt for the half-board option, and the evening meal service is excellent. The food is generous and tasty, but breakfast is a bit basic.

16/08/2025: Looking at the reviews, I thought it was a nice place. In fact, I drove an hour and a half to come and have dinner at your restaurant. I ate there with my wife and daughter. I sat down at 9 pm. I waited three quarters of an hour for a waitress to come and take my order. I hadn't noticed something until as soon as I turned around, I noticed the poor hygiene. You can't go on like this without a shred of cleanliness. Okay, another hour passes and the food arrives for my daughter, a pata pizza for my wife and me. A somewhat good seafood appetizer, but now comes the worst: my wife and I get the first course, which was a first course of pasta with fish and pasta with clams. My wife and I didn't even have time to finish them and immediately threw up, and our daughter had diarrhea for a week and was hospitalized at the Cannizzaro hospital in Catania with food poisoning. You don't even deserve a star, not to mention the prices and the terrible service. All this food for 122 euros, but as a man, I paid because I'm not a beggar and I had the chef cook it and it was right to pay. From yours truly ⤵️ Gianfranco Russo

07/08/2025: We had dinner this evening for three at the Javj restaurant in the old station. We had a fish-based dinner... Everything was excellent, delicious, and the products were high-quality... the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable... the owner was kind, helpful, and very professional. We will return to Javj as soon as possible... absolutely recommended.

25/07/2025: Good service, typical menu for this type of establishment, friendly staff, and ample nearby parking. Wait times are reasonable (obviously dependent on the number of customers). Reservations recommended. Prices are in line with the type of dishes and menu offered. Recommended!

01/05/2025: Hmm maybe we were in the wrong one? Mixed meat - schnitzel with fries (which had mud inside), chewing the edges of the bread as a "starter" only with oil (upon request)....OK maybe you had a bad day... culinary low point

04/11/2025: Absolutely avoid this place, it's a tourist trap!!! What a rip-off at the end of our trip to Sicily! We were with friends and ordered four Spritz cocktails with a large plate of grilled fish as an appetizer! We had this dish several times during our week in Sicily (we usually budgeted 15 to 20 Euros each time). What a nasty surprise to find that this dish for four cost 80 Euros!! What a disgrace!! After this bad experience, we checked the reviews, which are all too common.

04/11/2025: A beautiful Sicilian trattoria with insanely delicious seafood and a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The owner is very helpful, serving, greeting, and bidding farewell to guests himself.

06/01/2026: Tried it on Christmas Day... Honestly, I've lost the desire to return. The appetizer was good, but the two first courses (a rabbit ragù that actually tasted like tomato pasta) and orecchiette with fava beans (it was a green cream with an indefinite flavor) and the second course (roast pork that tasted like a turkey breast from the deli counter, reheated badly) were all very poor quality: we didn't have a bad experience, but we would have expected something more. As for the ambiance, it was in line with the food.

02/12/2025: I'm from Mascali, and I often go there on Saturdays when I'm free to buy a Good to Go box, because my son particularly likes this surprise box idea. And I can say that we've always found the products to be to our liking, excellent quantity and quality... it's now becoming a pleasant habit!
