17/10/2025: The service was nonexistent, the food was terrible. It's a shame, it was recommended to me. I made a terrible impression on my guest.

12/10/2025: Food was amazing! The tuna steak was the runaway winner! The serving is for sharing. The customer service? Very civil. Will we come back? Mm… maybe, if we weren’t tourists.

11/10/2025: Friendly service. This was the only restaurant open for lunch on an October Friday when an annual festival was being set up. Pizzas were not available. That left pasta. The pistachio sauce was great. The pasta with mushroom sauce was watery and not particularly tasty. Big servings. A free serving of prickly pear, the local speciality.

01/10/2025: High-quality pizzas, light Neapolitan-style dough. We even ordered (for an extra euro) the Giarratana onion sauce to enjoy on the sides of the pizza. A wide variety of pizzas, from the most topped to the simplest, and they also have an excellent local craft beer. We'll definitely be back.

16/07/2025: I recommend it! Delicious food. The spaghetti with octopus had a very well-balanced flavor, and the octopus was well-prepared, soft, not chewy, and juicy. The burger was one of the best I've ever had; the meat was prepared with care, the flavors were well-balanced, and there was plenty of it. The fries were perfect, crispy and soft inside. For an appetizer, I recommend the mixed bruschetta, with four different flavor options. The service was very friendly and attentive. The place was tastefully decorated; it was practically empty when we arrived and ate for an hour – we were the only ones there. Highly recommended!

16/09/2025: The ambiance is truly beautiful and inviting. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing: the service was inattentive, and the wait time was far too long. The food was completely unimpressive – the salsiccia was tasteless, and the fish was very dry. Only the pizza was okay. Overall, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

26/09/2025: If you're a tourist, don't waste your time. This is completely disrespectful to foreigners. We waited 40 minutes to order our food, and they always told us to wait, walking right past us, and going to another table that arrived later. The food took over an hour! And the waitress even forgot our order. Tables with Italians who arrived later were already eating, and we weren't. They make no effort to communicate with you, they're rude, and they ignore you.

13/10/2025: Extremely disappointing experience at Palinuro Restaurant (Catania) I booked through The Fork (with regular confirmation and a 50% discount) and, with my partner, arrived at Palinuro Restaurant after a 15 km drive, in the midst of a sudden downpour. Unfortunately, the experience was one of the most unpleasant I've ever had at a restaurant, and indeed, definitely THE ONLY one! Upon my arrival, a young employee (at first glance, he seemed foreign, and I say this without any prejudice, but only because this may have coincidentally led to the subsequent misunderstanding)—who immediately proved unhelpful and rather hasty—assigned me a table for two with a seat facing a white wall. Given that it was 7:00 PM and the restaurant was completely empty, I asked to change my seating, even just by rotating the table or choosing another free one, but my every request was denied without any attempt at understanding or mediation. The employee's tone was distant and unfriendly, as if my presence were indifferent (I believe it was because of the 50% discount reservation), and he even told me that if I didn't agree with the rules, I could leave—all without ever looking me in the eye. I pointed out that a customer should be treated like an oracle, and he, with an angry look and attitude, replied: "ORACLE? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" (That's why, above, I emphasized that he SOUNDED like a foreigner) and, believing he hadn't understood the meaning, I replied: "IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, I'LL EXPLAIN IT TO YOU!" And he, as if I had wanted to offend him, retorted: I WAS BORN AND LIVED IN ITALY AND I KNOW ITALIAN (perhaps, since he's black, he MISTAKENLY understood that I was prejudiced against him for reasons of RACISM, something I have NEVER done in my life, having ALWAYS BEEN AGAINST any form of discrimination! Faced with this attitude, I finally lost my patience and asked to speak to the owner, but I discovered that the employee was already on the phone with him, giving his version of events in real time. I then decided to leave and went out. A few minutes later, I received a call from the owner, who deemed it appropriate to fully agree with his employee, without even listening to my reconstruction, repeating several times that no one had ever complained in 8 years, and I replied that I didn't What mattered was the experience of others, but of THAT moment. Realizing there was NO chance of a conversation, I decided to end that impossible conversation and hung up the phone. In the rain and without dinner, we returned home after a wasted journey (30 km round trip) and a completely ruined evening. The owner's subsequent attempt to call me back, despite my clear displeasure in continuing the matter, further confirmed the total lack of tact and professionalism. In summary: • No welcome, no empathy, and no ability to manage the customer. • Zero attention to the expressed discomfort, not even after explaining the situation. • Disrespectful attitude both on the part of the employee (perhaps too young to manage customers, not just those of his peers) and, even more so, on the part of the management, which is expected to treat the customer with professionalism, courtesy, and helpfulness. A real shame, given that the restaurant we chose was recommended by The Fork so we could try new restaurants with confidence and be CERTAIN of their reliability. An experience NOT to be repeated, and obviously As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't recommend it. PS: This review is written in good faith to report a true experience, in the hope that it can help improve the management of the venue and the customer service. Booking date: October 12, 2025

16/09/2025: Not sure what happened with this restaurant but got served paccheri with the worst sarde i ever seen. Looked like sauce been mixed in a mixer and some sad two fish bites thrown with Ordered Chardonnay but got Grillo. Perhaps they mistaken us for tourists. Never going back.

15/09/2025: Not much to say, the guys are amazing, the food is delicious, the cocktails are amazing. Maybe avoid the weekends, it's very crowded and the service is inevitably very slow.

08/09/2025: I would have simply understood the discomfort of working with the public and paid attention to the moments full of requests if it hadn't been for the long wait, the fact that we received part of our order almost immediately and the rest an hour later (which turned out to be inedible). When we made mention of our discomfort, the treatment we received was surly and annoyed.

09/08/2025: We wanted to love this place, it was awful. It too FOREVER to get our food over an hour. Our waitress never came back. Octopus was super tough. They never brought our soup but charged us for it. They were put of shrimp and it took over an hour to get cold lobster rolls. Would NOT RECOMMEND!
