15/11/2025: Positive: Good dinner, good pizza, excellent staff. We were also surprised by the bill. We hadn't paid this much since before Covid. Negative: I understand the family run business, but it needs a makeover, or at least a redecoration. The eye also wants its share. We will definitely be back.

14/09/2025: They tell me she makes excellent bread. I have no reason to doubt it, since she makes the best biscuits in all of eastern Sicily. I've brought them to friends all over Italy, and they've always made a great impression.

03/09/2025: For many years, I've been making the trek up to Milo to buy the various delicious biscuits this bakery offers! It's reminiscent of an old-fashioned shop...and it's truly impossible to resist the delicious shortcrust pastry.

28/11/2025: The authentic trattoria of yesteryear, inside a bar. Trattorias are no more. Where you used to eat good food at fair prices. Today, you either get expensive quality or cheap incompetence. Instead, this "Not just a bar" hides the good trattoria of yesteryear at fair prices. But don't let it get to your head... 😉 Keep it up!

11/11/2025: Google says they open at 6pm, but they only open at 8pm. I told them to correct it then, but they don’t seem to care :)

02/11/2025: I was chatting with a woman at a clothing store, she recommended this restaurant, so I went. Everything is good except the portion is so big, I had to cancel the rest of my orders after the appetizers. They were very nice about it. I have to go back to try their other main and pasta dishes.

01/11/2025: Terrible. I went with my wife for our wedding anniversary. I booked a table several days in advance because otherwise you wouldn't find a seat. As soon as we arrived, the waiter, without even a greeting or welcome, told us in a grumpy tone, "Go to the fish counter and choose your dishes." We felt a little overwhelmed. Well, we went to the fish counter, and the owner or the chef arrived. We didn't know because he didn't introduce himself or even say hello. He was just waiting for us to say what we wanted. We ordered 800 grams of calamari and the same number of shrimp because we ordered a seafood salad and two first courses with shrimp. After just twenty minutes, the seafood salad arrived. Now, I don't want to criticize anything, but it's not possible that they were the calamari and shrimp we had chosen shortly before, given that the restaurant was full and between cleaning and cooking, it takes a bit longer. So this made me a little nervous because I felt like I was out and about early. And then I wondered where the 800 grams of calamari we'd chosen had gone, since the seafood salad contained far less, as it was all shrimp (good), and the calamari were cut into small rectangles. The seafood salad was swimming in oil. Then the first courses arrived, the shrimp linguine, which was also swimming. The service was terrible, with dishes thrown on the table with no consideration and no sign of courtesy. In the end, we stood up and paid about 80 euros for the seafood salad, the two first courses, and a bottle of water. Dear Sirs, in restaurants, customers are welcomed, accompanied to the table, made to feel at ease; I don't have to explain good manners. A terrible experience and an anniversary evening to forget.

06/09/2025: We stayed at La Fontana del Cherubino and couldn't have made a better choice! The property is meticulously maintained, spotlessly clean, welcoming, and immersed in a truly special atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring the area, yet also guarantees tranquility and relaxation. A special thanks to Mr. Mario, always available and attentive, whose kindness made us feel at home. Every detail was designed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return next year!

01/09/2025: We had a fabulous stay here! Such a nice quiet location, surrounded by nature, and next to mount Etna. The breakfast service with the bar in town was fantastic! We enjoyed the local foods from the suggestions, and even got to see the old aqueduct when we asked to visit. Wonderful experience and thanks for making us feel so at home!

08/09/2025: I would have simply understood the discomfort of working with the public and paid attention to the moments full of requests if it hadn't been for the long wait, the fact that we received part of our order almost immediately and the rest an hour later (which turned out to be inedible). When we made mention of our discomfort, the treatment we received was surly and annoyed.

20/11/2025: The Atlantis hotel is a beautiful structure in the photos, the rooms are well organized, and this masks the poor hotel's estate. The beach is practically opposite, you just have to cross the road.

10/11/2025: Our last stop on the road trip. Best to keep driving. Why? Another shabby hotel. Tiny walls, noisy air conditioning, breakfast first come, first served.

25/11/2025: A historic bar in Nicolosi that's unfortunately losing its appeal. We've been customers for a long time, and I'm truly disappointed because, despite the mistake and the fact that they ruined a child's surprise, they didn't even apologize. To err is human, so why make such a fool of yourself?

25/11/2025: I'm sorry to have to give a negative review because we usually find a young and kind person when we go. Unfortunately, our last experience was 100% negative. We ordered a children's cake with a character. The order was confirmed over the phone. When we picked it up, the cake was already wrapped in its cardboard box. When we opened the cake at home, we were greeted with a classic white cake with the words "Happy Birthday" written on it. No children's characters, no colored cream, nothing at all! We called, thinking there was a mix-up, and were told that the cake was made this way by the pastry chef and that there was no mistake. The 1.5 kg cake was too small to include a print! Why wasn't this explained when we placed the order over the phone? Why wasn't this explained when we picked it up?! For €20, you lost face! Congratulations on ruining a happy moment for a child (who paid regularly). Plus, we make a small cake every year, and it's NEVER been a problem to include pictures. In any case, there was no intention on the part of the pastry chef and/or the owners to make the cake child-friendly. Truly ugly! Congratulations on the dedication and love you put into your work. Great professionals!
