25/02/2026: We went for lunch around 2 pm. The market was still open. The waiter was lovely. We had lunch on the terrace, enjoying the market atmosphere and the sunshine—pure bliss. The ingredients were all very fresh. Caponata to share: €6 Octopus salad: €12 Fried cone: €12 (perhaps a tad pricey for what it was) Everything was absolutely delicious!

22/02/2026: Unfortunately, only 3 stars. The pizza, margarita, was okay, and the capriciosa was okay, but it wasn't a pizza, it was a pint with fresh tomatoes and a cold mozzarella stick in the middle. I was disappointed. We ordered large drinks, got small ones, and of course, the cash register charged us large ones. Only after we intervened did they change the bill. It was cold inside, and the music was loud, not at all in keeping with the atmosphere. All these poor quality items deprive you of 2 stars.

28/02/2026: A beautiful wine chalet at the foot of Mount Etna. Perfectly located for trips to southern Sicily. The family who runs it and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. A highlight for me was that Pope John Paul II was also here in 1990 and praised the wine and the family. I will definitely come back – a wonderful place to relax and enjoy myself.

14/09/2025: They tell me she makes excellent bread. I have no reason to doubt it, since she makes the best biscuits in all of eastern Sicily. I've brought them to friends all over Italy, and they've always made a great impression.

03/09/2025: For many years, I've been making the trek up to Milo to buy the various delicious biscuits this bakery offers! It's reminiscent of an old-fashioned shop...and it's truly impossible to resist the delicious shortcrust pastry.

Forty years ago, it was the first sandwich shop to open in this area, introducing a more open gastronomic culture, one that embraced the new trends that defined the generations of that era—styles and customs that have indelibly marked the worlds of music, film, and fashion, leaving no room for restaurant dining. In our view, this historic business is one that deserves much more consideration, often even more so than its more recent counterparts. The reasons are simple: we primarily focus on the expertise, availability, and skills of our staff, elements that are the foundation of any business where customer relations are essential. The selection of top-quality products, which must never be lacking, is evident in all the dishes served, from starters like chips to pinsa (a type of pasta), and other dishes. The clean, bright, and distinctive setting creates a pleasant atmosphere and is ideal for a quiet, intimate dinner, but also perfect for small groups, with the small outdoor deck and the indoor dining room that also features a mezzanine with additional seating. We highly recommend this restaurant because there's nothing spectacular about it, and our vision always reflects simplicity, as our readers will have noticed. Although it's a simple sandwich shop, it has the experience to manage the dining room, kitchen, payments, reservations, delivery service, and all the other services of the establishment, which are always under control. This can only lead to positive results, especially considering the politeness and courtesy evident in discussions between staff and customers, which already contributed to much of our absolutely positive rating and represent a recommendation for a normal, yet perfect, experience in our beloved Acireale. 26/10/2025: My colleagues and I stopped at this restaurant several times during our stay in Catania. What can I say? The food is wonderfully delicious, all accompanied by the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend trying their tuna steak—never tasted so good in my entire life! Also, the fried calamari, the sardines a beccafico, and last but not least, the caponata, both the original version and the one with octopus are delicious. You can taste the love they put into preparing each dish using local, fresh ingredients in every bite. I will definitely be back during my next stay in Catania ♥️

22/10/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with some of the highlights being the sardines, mussels and fish skewer. To complete the meal, we had the best tiramisu we‘ve ever eaten, which had a perfect consistency and flavour balance. Would highly recommend
