26/03/2026: Everyone at the tobacconist's is rude. Every time I have to talk to them about anything, cigarettes, or especially shipping packages, they want to start a conversation, argue. And when you want to ship a package, they make up all sorts of excuses; they had the same attitude when they were on Via Etnea. I'm sorry, but because of them, I won't even stop for a coffee; it's a shame, because the breakfast is excellent.

18/11/2025: Good Mexican-style food, but without the overly spicy chili peppers. Good beers, a pub atmosphere with wooden tables and a rustic but well-maintained setting. Friendly and efficient staff. It's popular but not overly crowded (though reservations are recommended). We've been coming back for a while.

19/05/2026: Let me start by saying that the place isn't exactly nice. You go there for good food. Since we don't eat meat, we looked for a place that served traditional, essentially humble, dishes. So we had the lolli with fava beans and the pasta with Aci trunzo, dishes you won't find everywhere and absolutely recommended. But the thing that kept us coming back two nights in a row was their caponata. We don't understand how they make it; it's slightly different from the others, but we've never had it this good. The woman at the tables, who I assume is the very kind owner, explains the tradition of the dishes and where the ingredients come from. I also recommend trying their fries, since we were so light on the first courses...

05/05/2026: Acireale, CT. Via Lancaster, 2. Corner of Vico dei Padri Filippini. Pizzeria-restaurant right in the city center, with a simple and functional atmosphere. We loved the pizza for its easy-to-digest dough and generous toppings; the service was quite quick and the prices were fair. A bit noisy on weekends, and the beverage offerings were basic. Our choice proved to be a reliable one.

03/05/2026: A beautiful property at the foot of Mount Etna, just a stone's throw from Catania, Acitrezza, Acicastello, and Zafferana Etnea. We stayed there on a motorbike, with the option of having our vehicle parked right outside the front door. The owners were helpful and always ready to resolve any issues. The rooms were spotless, with towels changed daily. The breakfast was generous, both sweet and savory. A beautiful agriturismo with plenty of entertainment for children, thanks to the presence of animals (peacocks, pheasants, donkeys, and others) and various games. What more can I say? Congratulations, and we'll see you again soon.

01/06/2026: Every time we return to Sicily to visit our family, we love eating at Delizie Di Mare. In the summer, we prefer the beautiful garden, where a splendid oasis has been created with great attention to detail and where there's always something new to discover. Nello and Giovanna are incredibly friendly hosts, and we always feel very comfortable.

10/05/2026: The pizza was delicious and very large, the only flaw was the desserts. I tried the Cuore Caldo, and for €6 it was really small. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Forty years ago, it was the first sandwich shop to open in this area, introducing a more open gastronomic culture, one that embraced the new trends that defined the generations of that era—styles and customs that have indelibly marked the worlds of music, film, and fashion, leaving no room for restaurant dining. In our view, this historic business is one that deserves much more consideration, often even more so than its more recent counterparts. The reasons are simple: we primarily focus on the expertise, availability, and skills of our staff, elements that are the foundation of any business where customer relations are essential. The selection of top-quality products, which must never be lacking, is evident in all the dishes served, from starters like chips to pinsa (a type of pasta), and other dishes. The clean, bright, and distinctive setting creates a pleasant atmosphere and is ideal for a quiet, intimate dinner, but also perfect for small groups, with the small outdoor deck and the indoor dining room that also features a mezzanine with additional seating. We highly recommend this restaurant because there's nothing spectacular about it, and our vision always reflects simplicity, as our readers will have noticed. Although it's a simple sandwich shop, it has the experience to manage the dining room, kitchen, payments, reservations, delivery service, and all the other services of the establishment, which are always under control. This can only lead to positive results, especially considering the politeness and courtesy evident in discussions between staff and customers, which already contributed to much of our absolutely positive rating and represent a recommendation for a normal, yet perfect, experience in our beloved Acireale. 03/05/2026: Sorry, I don't usually write negative reviews, but today I had to... this was sold to me as carbonara, but unfortunately it wasn't. Spaghetti with cream and cooked ham would have been a better description. Inedible.

We tried the meat sandwiches: generous portions but truly flavorful, accompanied by crispy potatoes. The beer selection, with many local and craft options, is a real highlight. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices. Definitely a place to bookmark for a tasty and relaxing break!
