02/06/2026: We stopped by the restaurant unplanned and it happened to be the best food so far. Love the super local vibe. If you go up to the main square, you will see an amazing garden which is right next to the restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food.

Acquadelferro has a very refined atmosphere, dominated by the colors I love, which convey a sense of serenity and tranquility. Furthermore, you can admire a picturesque landscape from its windows. I spent my 30th birthday there and it was a wonderful evening. Highly recommended!!

27/04/2026: Fantastic view and a beautiful property. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The room was really lovely and spacious, including a seating area with a table and a lounge chair.

14/04/2026: The rooms have not been maintained to an acceptable standard. The lower rooms, which are over 100 m from the main building, have damaged flooring and flaking walls. The path up to the main building is also not in good / safe condition. Photos are attached.

17/05/2026: I ordered two takeout pizzas (a Frastuca and an In Giallo), and the place was right on time, even though it was the weekend. The pizzas were excellent: light dough, quality ingredients, and perfectly cooked (not even a trace of burning). Highly recommended!

07/05/2026: One of the best pizzerias in Catania and the surrounding area, with a light, fragrant dough. A mix of contemporary and classic Catania style. The atmosphere is very homey and rustic. The staff is extremely friendly and always available (the girls were always there and kind to us customers). Compliments to the pizza chef, who clearly takes great care in selecting the ingredients and products he uses. I recommend this pizzeria to everyone; it's definitely worth a try.

19/10/2025: We just spent a week there during the fall break. The complex is very well-maintained and modernly furnished. We had an apartment with our children consisting of a living room with a kitchenette and sofa bed, as well as one bedroom. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchenette had pots and enough dishes, so we could even whip up a snack now and then. However, we suspect we are among the rare guests who take advantage of it... 😉 Since there were four of us, we would have preferred a closet instead of the open clothes rack. But we just managed to fit everything in our suitcases... For more than a week, it would have been too small for the four of us... The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. We also booked breakfast with our apartment. It was always very plentiful, and you could reorder anything if you were missing something. You could make your own juice, which we used every day. Besides sausage and cheese, there were also various egg dishes and bacon. Since the complex is very small, you don't have to wait in long lines at the buffet. Everything was very tasteful! We went outside for breakfast whenever possible. Then you can sit in the sun with a wonderful view of the sea.

The atmosphere is original without being forced: you immediately feel a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, the kind that makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is approachable, smiling, and truly kind—not just superficial kindness, but a genuine welcome that makes all the difference. The cuisine focuses on local tradition and does so with great dignity: flavorful, well-executed dishes, with just the right portions and flavors that express the region without unnecessary frills. The wine and beer selection is also excellent, simple yet thoughtful, perfect for accompanying the meal without driving up the bill. And in fact, the price is affordable and more than fair, especially considering the overall quality of the experience. I would recommend this place without hesitation to anyone seeking authenticity, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere. A place worth marking in your diary.

16/03/2026: You have to visit this place. I have never experienced anything like it. Yesterday we visited the Hasta Siempre bar in Catania. Just an ordinary bar… Until we entered. The first thing you notice is the decoration. Revolutionaries are staring at you in all their guises. The Palestinian scarf, the communist Stakhanovites, the Red Brigades, Indians, the Cuban revolution, the hammer and sickle. After a while you realize that you are sitting in an Italian left-wing communist cell. Of course, everything is dominated by Che Guevara and the song Hasta Siempre, celebrating his fearlessness. Do you want to smoke Cuban cigars or cigarettes? Yes, you can do it inside. The last bar in Europe where you can still do it.

05/05/2026: Beautiful view and even more beautiful food. The only downside I could think of is that the portions could be bigger but the fish is as freah as you could hope to get in a restaurant so no stars get taken off. Amazing. The white shrimp tartar entered the top 5 things I ever ate list as soon as I took the first bite!

03/05/2026: A great Sunday family experience. At 7:30 PM, we decided to have an APERI-SEA at this location. I hadn't yet had the chance to try their product, although I must admit I've known the fishmonger next door for years. The young, extremely friendly and welcoming staff explained to us what their alcoholic aperitif included: a variety of dishes, each one better than the last, very rich and varied, both cooked and raw. A highlight was the peppery mussels, which were absolutely amazing!!! At the end of the meal, even though we were more than full, I asked for an aperitif instead, which was satisfied in 4 minutes. In its simplicity, a pair of well-cleaned and impeccably served scampi always makes a difference. Congratulations. Alessandro Ursino Food Critic

06/05/2026: Antica Sicilia is a guarantee: a typical Sicilian seafood restaurant for over 25 years. I returned after a long time and had a truly wonderful time. The owner is excellent, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. The restaurant and staff could use a refresh, but the experience remains absolutely positive.

03/05/2026: Very good food. A lot of choices : but that is also their achilles. Too much without highlighting their specialities. Eat the pata alla Norma and the pizza with pistachio cream ! To die for 🥰
