02/11/2025: Excellent selection of raw fish, generous array of appetizers. Very fresh fish, fast service, and very welcoming staff. Probably one of the best seafood dinners I've had in recent years. This place was a pleasant discovery, and I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

19/07/2025: This is a small restaurant located in the heart of the "new" city center, on Via G. D'Annunzio. It's family-run and mostly accepts reservations. Although, like many other restaurants, it offers classic meat-based dishes, I find the FISH to be my favorite, thanks to the quality of the product and the chef's cooking methods. Quality wines, clean air-conditioned facilities, and the hostess's friendliness are second to none.
The price is directly related to what you taste.
I recommend making a reservation.

09/12/2025: I went for lunch yesterday. The place is outdoors on the sea. Nice atmosphere, good food. The service is good, especially the waitress Marika, who stands out for her friendliness and empathy.
04/12/2025: The food itself was good but the prices didn't match those on the menu, salad from 15.50 moved to 17.50, beer from 4 to 5 plus cover charge of €5 without even bread, a pizza and a salad €45 oh well

01/12/2025: Beautiful experience, pleasant evening, we went for pizza 🍕 with friends, really efficient service, we ordered and had dinner after a few minutes, they gave us zibibbo and biscuits as a gift 🍪... I highly recommend visiting the place
23/11/2025: Nothing to complain about the pizza. I didn't like the rush we felt when we ordered and ate it, as soon as we sat down. If I go out for dinner, I need to relax. I understand Saturday night, but if I have to rush to the table, then I'd rather stay home.

Delicious food. Total bill was 32 euros, with no details. Price for Pasta Norma: 8 or 9 euros with fresh pasta.

The spaghetti alla Norma is delicious.
The grilled meat is top-notch.
11/12/2025: I visited Trattoria Re Carlo V and, overall, the experience was very positive. The atmosphere is informal and typically Catanian, the staff is friendly, and the service is more than prompt.
The horse meat is undoubtedly the restaurant's highlight: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, truly one of the best tastings you'll find in the city.
On a less positive note, however, was the involtino, which was unfortunately a bit undercooked inside. Nothing irreparable, but a little more attention to cooking would make it worthy of the rest of the menu.
Overall, a trattoria worth a visit, especially for horse meat lovers.

26/09/2025: We ate there on recommendation. You can pick the fish from the ice, which is nice, but preparing it is a disaster. The fish wasn't scaled, raw inside, unseasoned, and tasteless. The place was very noisy because of the locals. I DO NOT recommend it.

An excellent restaurant offering a beautiful view of the Torre Archirafi sea, but above all, excellent seafood, including excellent fish served in a variety of ways. The attentive service was excellent, and last but not least, the owner's kindness and helpfulness were truly appreciated. Recommended for anyone looking for delicious seafood for lunch or dinner.
