10/03/2025: This small medieval town on top of a hill in the Parco delle Madonie in Sicily has this one hotel in the middle of narrow, winding, hilly, cobbled streets. Parking is a matter of luck, as you can imagine, but once parked one can walk all around town. The hotel had someone waiting for us to hand over the keys and we were on our own after that. The first odd thing we noticed is that rooms 1 & 2 are on the top floor while room 6 is on the ground floor. Of course there are no lifts in this renovated medieval building, so three flights of stairs will keep you healthy when you’re in room 1. The room itself was very spacious and offers all the facilities one expects. The bathroom flushing was the second quirky thing we experienced - it’s a push button function but a sign on the wall advises guests that they need to push it several times with some energy for it to function - unfortunately I did not take a photo of the sign! Other than that our stay was pleasant and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable.

23/03/2025: Really friendly staff who tries to make you enjoy the dinner. The buffet antipasti was perfect to try a variety of local foods. The fried calamar was delicious and the pasta a la Norma nicely served. We also ordered a chicken breast but it was too much. Portions are pretty big. Many thanks. We had a great time.✨

18/03/2025: I am so happy about finding this restaurant. They made some of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever eaten, and that at a very reasonable price! The service was very quick and nice, they even spoke a little bit of English (the necessities) so we could understand each other despite our rough Italian. The menu doesn‘t really offer options for vegetarians/vegans, so if you don‘t eat animals (or their products), this isn‘t the right place for you. The restaurant is located not far away from touristic hot spots, but still far enough to preserve Sicilian charm. I also really liked that the workers and the guests all seemed to know each other, it felt very homely and safe. There are three tables outdoors, but they are essentially placed on the street. I didn‘t mind much, because there was a protection so you didn‘t feel any wind from the cars, and the owners placed plants for further separation. The prices were very very reasonable, almost a bit low (for me as a tourist). I cannot describe in words how good the food was. I tried two main dishes with seafood. The wine was nothing special but cheap and complimentary. Overall a really really good experience and one of the best memories from my vacation. Thank you!!

09/03/2025: Charming restaurant in the province of Catania, in the town of Randazzo there is this reality of flavors resulting from ancient traditions masterfully combined with the gastronomic innovations of our times which makes good food a very special experience. Already the presence of the dining room gives a foretaste of the excellent delicacies with a verbal and mimic exposition that describes to the mind the dishes that can be ordered. I won't take away the pleasure of listening to this gastronaut with his kind and elegant manners who will explain every step of the individual dishes in great detail. But know one thing when he describes the succulent dishes, don't get distracted..... When he says for example sausage cut on the tip of a knife, experienced firsthand it is truly like this, the difference is in the taste that you can separate the flavor of the meat from the flavor of the lard from the fennel flavour, you realize this in the fact that the meat is not a shapeless mush but a sequence of well-seasoned pieces that leave a unique impression on the taster's palate. The shank boiled with wild vegetables is cooked with the parsimony and slowness of the boiling of the past without gustatory gulps in its seasoning. Then the final touch for our group was the kissing of our ladies' hands which made us take a space-time leap to times when gallantry was among the most prestigious families of the time. Thank you for giving us this excellent gastronomic experience which we will absolutely repeat with other dear diners

10/11/2024: We went there two times in 3 hours 😍 First we had breakfast. Amazing sandwiches and pistachio croissants 🥐 the coffee is amazing and high standard. We had cappuccino Later we went to take sandwiches for take away so we can eat them during our hike ⛰️

The credit goes mainly to the staff and the owner who every time are very kind, friendly and make you feel the warmth and affection that only Sicily can give you, then if everything is accompanied by an excellent selection of music you have truly found the perfect place! !! 20/01/2025: Ormai è una garanzia, tutte le volte che scendiamo dalla Toscana per trovare la famiglia, è una tappa fissa e ogni volta non si smentisce. Il merito va principalmente al personale e al proprietario che ogni volta sono gentilissimi, cordiali e ti fanno sentire il calore e l’affetto che solo la Sicilia può darti, poi se tutto è accompagnato da un ottima selezione musicale hai veramente trovato il posto perfetto!!! 02/03/2025: I recommend all specialized pastry magazines to visit this pastry bar, snack bar and delicatessen, to experience the authenticity of the products, the genius that the master pastry chef gives in churning out high-quality Sicilian products, and then the quantitative and qualitative generosity that he gives to the filling of any piece of breakfast from ricotta (WITH REAL RICOTTA) to both chocolate and custard cream (REAL CUSTARD). I have been to Catania and a few days and by chance I discovered this bar, I ate arancini with meat that only Savia can come close to, the iris paste was thin and the cream was black chocolate, the panzerotto is divine because the pastry is egg-based and perfectly toasted, the cream is soft and biting it leaves the velvet between your lips and the pastry chef for doing something like this is a prize. The service always greeted and always smiled, prompt clean polite service. Every time I am in Catania I will go, because I am from Catania and the people of Catania know what we eat, and I will bring friends, children, wives and relatives to this bar. I forgot to say that I won't forget the ricotta cream I found while biting into a Raviola 😛

17/02/2025: Perfect place for breakfast. We drank squeezed orange juice and coffee. We passed on something salty and sweet. For me, the real thing is a baked roll with ham, egg and cheese and a croissant with ricotta. Great service. The language barrier does not exist! Affordable prices.

To say very good and little, there were fifteen of us who tried a round of pizzas to taste the goodness and quality of both the raw material and the truly exceptional ingredients used.
