05/11/2025: It’s really worth the journey. Great tasting pizza. We tried four different pizzas and they were all fantastic, made with the best ingredients on an absolutely flavorful and crispy base. We tried their Tiramisu for dessert. Not recommended at all. Just have the pizza! Also make sure to book in advance.

11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

14/01/2026: My first two grandchildren had their wedding reception there, and we had a wonderful time. I'm sure the third, in a few years, will invite us there too. I'll be very happy to return.

11/12/2025: We got married last Saturday and couldn't have chosen a different location for our special day. We knew the room very well from previous weddings, and I can say it's truly worthy. The owners, the restaurant manager, and all the waiters are top-notch, friendly, kind, and professional. The food is guaranteed, from appetizers to dessert! You can't help but choose this room for your special day.

15/02/2026: Today we were there for the second time. We were enchanted the first time, and the second, too. Nestled in the hills near Collesano, it offers breathtaking views and is easy to reach. The place feels like home, they welcome you with a smile, the fireplace is always lit, in short, it's a comfortable refuge. The service is excellent, even on the busiest and most hectic days, with a constant smile and friendliness from the staff. The owner loves what he does; you'll see him wandering the tables, personally serving guests, and making sure everything is fine. The food is delicious, made with top-quality ingredients, with a focus on local produce. The dishes are a mix of tradition and innovation, but without losing their local identity. In short, it's like eating at a gourmet grandmother's house! The portions are generous; we couldn't finish everything and took the rest home because throwing it away would have been sacrilegious. They always offer a shot of their own liqueurs. The chocolate one is definitely worth trying; it's sublime. We bought a bottle. Casale Drinzi is one of those places that fills your belly and warms your heart, perfect for a little pampering every now and then. See you next time! 17/03/2026: Excellent experience, the wait staff was extremely kind and welcoming. The dishes are pleasantly prepared and delicious. The butter and anchovy pasta is noteworthy, with its unique creaminess, while the calamari melted in your mouth. We'll definitely be back.

26/02/2026: I'm extremely disappointed and annoyed by my experience at (Rinuccio). I arrived with my wife, including our two dogs, and asked if we could sit at an outdoor table, where there was no one else. The answer was a firm, "No, we don't accept pets." (I think it was a chef.) I wonder, what difference does it make if the table is outdoors? Our dogs are well-behaved and wouldn't have bothered anyone. In fact, it would have been a pleasure to have them by our side. The "we don't accept pets" excuse became increasingly ridiculous when we asked if there was an outdoor area where we could sit, and the answer was, "No, we don't have an outdoor area for dogs." But if the table is outdoors, isn't it already an outdoor area? My wife and I have decided to go elsewhere and will never return to this restaurant. If they can't accept a well-behaved dog, then they can't claim to be a welcoming and friendly restaurant. *Tip:* Don't go to this restaurant if you like to travel with your pets.

22/02/2026: Stunning location overlooking the Etna forests. Mount Etna in the background adds an extra touch. The staff is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Honorable mention for the quality of the food, especially the croquettes, the trofie with pistachio pesto, and the apple cake with orange oil. Highly recommended!

A feast for the senses, from taste to sight, both of the dishes that resemble paintings and, no less, the splendid view of the Aeolian Islands that can be admired from the restaurant's windows, so clean it seems they're not there.
