31/12/2025: I've been frequenting this pizzeria during the holidays since I was a child, and I recognize that it's one of the very few places where the pizza (excellent) and the paposce have never changed, and that's a great blessing. Thank you for maintaining the goodness and quality over the years. Highly recommended.

06/12/2025: You can feel the tradition. Excellent quality and wonderful people. Everything is beautiful. Highly recommended for those who want to experience the aromas of Apulian and Gargano cuisine. The prices are fair for what you get. I felt at home.

08/02/2026: Always happy to return, despite the years, the Giardino di Monsignore restaurant and beach club remain a guarantee of taste, elegance, and excellent value. A little more attention to customer service from the dining room staff would be welcome.

13/01/2026: LOCATION: The Lido Giardino di Monsignore Pizzeria and Restaurant is located in Contrada Torre del Porto in Mattinata. A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: This restaurant is well-known among tourists and locals alike. When you arrive, you can enjoy an incredible view of the sea. Especially at sunset, when the sun disappears behind the rocks, the sea is tinged with various colors. On the several occasions I've been, I've enjoyed both the fish-based first and second courses, as well as the pizzas. Each dish reflects the tradition of the Gargano. The restaurant has ample parking, a significant detail in an area that's very busy during the summer months. The photographs I took are testimonies that tell a story, more than a thousand words. FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW THAT...? The Port Tower was one of the ancient coastal towers built in the 16th century to guard against Ottoman pirate raids. We were greeted with a smile and a warmth that made us feel right at home. The lunch was excellent: authentic, plentiful dishes, all served with great attention by the waiters, who were kind and timed perfectly for a large group like ours. The atmosphere is ideal for sharing a moment of conviviality and serenity among pilgrims. Special thanks to the owner, Antonio, for his availability, his daughter, and the staff. Highly recommended for those visiting San Giovanni Rotondo who want to enjoy excellent local cuisine in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. 04/01/2026: Beautiful venue, we hosted a friends' baptism. The venue was decorated down to the smallest detail for the Christmas period, making it look like a branch of GelsominoHome. The appetizers, first courses, and second courses were delicious and of excellent quality. Clean and friendly staff. Congratulations.

11/10/2025: I went for dinner for the first time and had a thin-crust pizza with excellent leavening. The appetizers were made with high-quality ingredients. The staff was attentive and friendly. The owner was welcoming and courteous. Beautiful location in the very characteristic historic center. Fair prices. Highly recommended.

28/10/2025: No frills... I won't go on... the bill might seem a little steep but the quality of the dishes is worth every penny spent, exceptional appetizer, I will definitely be back.

30/09/2025: Avoid like the plague...the place is always half empty and doesn't accept children...rather than let you eat with a stroller, they prefer to dust the tablecloths and glasses. A dilemma: how it's still open.

01/01/2026: Wow wow wow. First of all, the food was fantastic, some of the best that my parents and I have had since our stay in Italy. Speaking of the best, the customer service was top tier, specifically the waiter with the glasses on (working dinner 1/1/26), we didn’t feel rushed, we were helped, checked up on, but also not constantly harassed. The cocktails were obviously good and surprisingly big serve. Yes it is somewhat pricey, but it could be worse and you definitely get what you pay for. My only critique was having to sit next to the bathroom, but someone has to lol. Thanks Momento for the lovely night!

Result: 8.5 Effective stars: 4.3 I use the "Gulliver Ranking" formula (devised by the Google Maps "Gulliver" account in May 2024) - anyone can use it, citing its source - because I consider it reliable and closer to reality. Please keep in mind that these are my personal opinions.

25/01/2026: We found this restaurant via the internet. It was a terrible choice... I've never eaten so badly in fifty years. We ordered an appetizer and a first course. The seafood appetizer was supposed to be half hot and half cold... it was all cold and tasted nothing like seafood. The first courses, fregola with seafood and culurgiones (a type of pasta made with sesame seeds) were awful! The fregola tasted like the tempest they use for broth and was so salty that I drank two liters of water overnight. The culurgiones with vegetable charcoal were not worthy of the name! Never again... HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!
