25/08/2025: For us, it remains our favorite place. A large counter with a wide selection of very fresh meat that you can choose on the spot and it's cooked right away. The interior is spacious and bright, while the outside is a bit cramped, but pleasant. Excellent service and very friendly, helpful staff.

21/08/2025: The meat is amazing and at a great price! From this perspective, La Locanda del Macellaio is highly recommended. However, I must point out two major problems (which could be largely resolved with the owners' goodwill). Hygiene. The raw meat (which customers select at the counter before being assigned a table) is handled with bare hands by a person who alternates serving at the counter with every other activity. He touches people, objects, chairs, his own clothes, his own nose, and finally the meat. A whole different level of hygiene is required, and it wouldn't take much. Second problem: ventilation. The interior is not ventilated at all, and evidently the grill hood doesn't extract air properly. The result: the room was slightly foggy and had a constant smell of smoke. I reiterate the positive aspects for which, overall, I would recommend La Locanda: quality and price!

06/07/2025: After work, my partner and I decided to go for dinner, something light but at the same time good. On a summer evening, outside on the steps.. The two waitresses were really good, meticulous. Kind and friendly owner. Quiet and hospitable environment. Excellent quality/price ratio. Recommended.

06/07/2025: Top atmosphere. Great selection of beers, generous and tasty sandwiches, friendly and always on-point staff. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy an evening with friends. Definitely worth returning to.

10/08/2025: A café recommended by my friend from Brindisi. She told us the rusticos were delicious. We stopped by to try them, and it became our go-to café for the days we spent there. Rustico, coffee cream, pastizzioto, pancetta, all delicious.

07/08/2025: It's been a while since I've written a review, because unfortunately, in the review metaverse, all the places seem fantastic, so you can imagine how motivated I must have been to write this review. Finally! A restaurant where you can eat traditional cuisine done well, in just the right amount and without unnecessary frills that only serve to satisfy the overblown egos of so many if you become a chef. And at prices that are almost touchingly honest. Superlative mussels au gratin, delicious crostini with anchovies, burrata, and zucchini, traditional rice, potatoes, and mussels. Definitely worth returning to. Impeccable service... after all, it's clear you're dealing with established professionals, not apprentices. Thank you for existing. Keep up the good work and resist fads. The world needs restaurateurs like you.

13/07/2025: Great spot near the old historic center. Located in a car-free area. The service is top-notch, and the appetizers alone are fantastic. Delicious wines, great pizzas, and the desserts are also delicious. A great place to come with kids, but also as a couple.

08/08/2025: ⸻ We visited this restaurant in Brindisi and had a truly excellent experience! We ate wonderfully: tasty dishes, carefully prepared, and generous portions. Special thanks to Tony, the waiter, who is friendly and approachable, and who immediately puts guests at ease with his kindness and professionalism. The food here is good, reasonably priced, and has a welcoming, authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended... and we'll definitely be back!

07/08/2025: Chosen by chance and we were very satisfied. Very friendly waiter and excellent food... We had a house appetizer and I must say we weren't expecting so much food (octopus, fava bean and chicory soup, bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, turnip, delicious and delicate meatballs in sauce, excellent parmigiana and I don't know if I forgot something because it was really so much hahaha. Afterwards we had tagliatelle with crab and red tagliatelle with sausage, cherry tomatoes and pecorino cheese, everything really good. Finally a tiramisu with coffee and amaro. We were really very satisfied, we recommend it.

12/08/2025: We returned after a year, and I must confirm that the food is divine! You could tell from the bread (which was delicious) that everything was going to be top-quality. It's our go-to place when we're in Cisternino or the area. Highly recommended!

05/08/2025: The service was good and the location was beautiful. For us, the only problem was the food. We probably made a mistake in choosing pizzas rather than a fish dish, but if something is on the menu, it should at least be edible. Let's start with the pizza chef's timing: half the table was served, while the other half received their pizzas when everyone else was almost finished. But the worst thing was truly the pizzas: all with rubbery dough, it felt like eating a water pump, and everyone's stomachs were left in their mouths all evening. I didn't even finish mine because I was feeling sick and almost threw up during the night. The ingredients were also of poor quality: my dad had a pizza with gorgonzola, and the flavor was practically undetectable. The prosciutto on mine was essentially raw meat that tasted only of salt. Even the burrata, typical of this area, was flavorless; if it hadn't been on the pizza, I wouldn't have noticed the difference. I'm sorry, but I absolutely failed. Edit in response to the owner: I assure you, I've been there. Reservation for 11 people, not in my name. I ordered the pizza with raw ham. However, if you prefer to assume I have nothing else to do with my life besides write bad reviews for places I haven't been to rather than respond with a more restrained "Sorry for the bad experience" or reconsider the menu and service, well, go ahead and think you're the best restaurateur in Brindisi and the surrounding area. My sincere compliments for your understanding and rhetorical skills.

23/06/2025: Sono stata in questa trattoria qualche sera fa con alcuni amici.eravamo in 5 . Ho portato questi amici perché volevo assaporassero la pizza nonnetto.... Al nostro arrivo ci siamo accomodati e prima della famosissima nonnetto ci hanno portato una bottiglietta d'acqua e due birre tuborg . abbiamo preso un piattino con fritti[la signorina ha portato al nostro tavolo un piattino con 3 polpette di carne e il resto polpette di patate pur dicendoci che avrebbe portato fritti misti fiori di zucca in pastella ecc]. Arriva la famosa nonnetto con i bordi bruciati. Sono andata in cassa per pagare ....ho atteso in cassa che arrivasse la signorina per un pó... Arrivata la signorina senza fare il riepilogo degli ordini mi ha chiesto 80 euro rilasciando uno scontrino con il solo totale. Qualche giorno dopo ho inviato un SMS al proprietario chiedendo spiegazioni e allegando lo scontrino Non ho mai ricevuto alcuna risposta anche per comprendere il costo di ogni singolo ordine.

05/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante/pizzeria in occasione del primo compleanno di mio nipote. Tutto è stato organizzato nei minimi dettagli. Lo staff cortese e veloce. Fritti svariati, freschi e gustosi. Pizze super: impasto digeribile, stile ‘biscottato’, gustosissime e prodotti utilizzati freschissimi!!! Consiglio vivamente questo locale. Inoltre il proprietario e la figlia sono persone davvero gentili e professionali♥️. Alla prossima♥️

25/08/2025: I asked to see the receipt (which they should have given you when you present the bill) and found that they were charged €8 for the side dishes, even though the waiter confirmed they were part of the main course. Unable to explain this situation, a discussion ensued, in which they told me they were giving me a discount and taking them off. I'll just describe how things went without comment, but I encourage everyone to check the receipt before paying. I believe transparency is the foundation of a business. I can't publish the receipt because the owner took it from me and tore it up.
