12/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! A very pleasant family restaurant. The owners are welcoming and the food is excellent. We personally thoroughly enjoyed it. The products are homemade, prepared by the mother. I highly recommend it and hope you'll enjoy it too. The lamb was delicious!

22/04/2026: I discovered this restaurant under what I believe is new management. Angelo is an expert host who knows his job well. But above all, he's a good person. He immediately puts you at ease and suggests dishes to introduce you to their excellent traditional cuisine, not out of a greed for sales. As for the food, there's not much to say. Except that everything is excellent, genuine, authentic, and homemade. Borgo Antico is a guarantee. I just recommend booking for Sunday lunch.

05/05/2026: Pasta was very nice. Caprese was with 2-3 cherry tomatoes. They were out of salad at the beginning of the service. Food was tasty though.

29/04/2026: I visited this restaurant very close to the center of Ceglie Messapica on April 25th. I must say there were many tourists like me in the town, and naturally, this restaurant was no exception. There are also tables outside on the street, which isn't very wide, narrowing the lane where residents' cars and suppliers to the many businesses still pass, which is why we preferred to have lunch inside. Among the appetizers were seafood, which, being used to much else, I found to be poor, but still enjoyable. Then there was the peppered mussels, whose quality was above average in restaurants—and I'm referring to the brodetto used to flavor the black mussels. Finally, there was a grilled seafood platter and a mixed fried fish dish (which didn't have much of a fish dish other than anchovies... well, nothing but calamari and tiny shrimp), which was decidedly not appreciated. I was about to go to pay the bill when they brought us some traditional sweets and a limoncello on the house (very kind of them, at least).

23/03/2026: Excellent menu, fast service. All-you-can-eat appetizers, two first courses, a roast meat main course, and fried shrimp and calamari, always centerpieces. Coffee and liqueur for a total of €30 (fixed price). There's also a €25 menu if you're easily full. The only drawback is that you have to book a month in advance. Definitely worth rebooking.

04/05/2026: Excellent service, delicious pizzas, and a welcoming location. You may have to wait a bit to be seated, especially on weekends, but it's worth it. Reasonable prices.

26/04/2026: Terrible experience: lack of organization and poor service ​The restaurant is structurally pleasing, with a wooden mezzanine housing an additional dining room, but the atmosphere is ruined by excessive and unwelcoming lighting. Unfortunately, aesthetics are the only positive aspect. The staff proved unprofessional, welcoming us with condescension and obvious disinterest. ​The real disaster was the organization: despite having agreed on the menu for a birthday party days in advance, the owner forgot every detail of the agreement. After an exhausting hour and a half wait, drastically reduced portions were served in a haphazard manner. The appetizers were mediocre and flavorless (vegetables in oil, corn, and low-quality cured meats), while the pizzas were rubbery and undercooked. ​We made a terrible impression on our guests due to a completely improvised management. The only successful moment was the cake cutting, which was only because we ordered it from outside. A venue can't afford to neglect its customers like this just because it's counting on a full house thanks to its low prices.

15/05/2026: Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience here in May, even though it's off-season. The beer was served without a glass, the bread was very hard and didn't seem fresh, and the scampi in the pasta were nowhere to be found. In the end, it was just pasta with tomato sauce. The digestif was placed on the table without any explanation or comment. We didn't feel welcome. Perhaps it's different during the tourist season.

11/05/2026: A pleasant discovery. When we were offered seafood in Ceglie, we were truly skeptical. I Capatosta changed our minds. Their seafood first courses and fried fish were spectacular, expertly prepared with high-quality ingredients. We'll be back very soon.

28/04/2026: This hotel with spa is located in the countryside of Ceglie Messapica, surrounded by greenery and naturally has parking for guests (I had already been there about three years ago and we returned because we had a good memory, perhaps mistaken). The room was good in terms of furnishings and everything else, but what really disappointed us was the service. First disappointment at the spa: after the introduction, we went into the sauna and after about 15 minutes, upon leaving, we no longer found the bathrobes we had placed on the loungers. Furthermore, I had left the magnetic card/key for the room in my pocket. We turned to the ladies at reception and they apologized, saying they didn't know how many people were there (in reality, entry is scheduled and there were six of us in total) but they knew nothing about the card, which I accidentally found on the floor under another guest's lounger. Another big flaw in the restaurant (with a nice view) is that the waiter didn't ask if we wanted wine, but instead took away our first courses intact because the pasta was so overcooked it was inedible. He didn't ask why we hadn't eaten anything. The next morning at breakfast, around 7:45, I was bothered by the waitress's noise (it's okay when she slammed the coffee container before adding the next dose), but the noise of banging cutlery, chairs, and so on was fine, but maybe it's just me who wants silence in the morning and not a noisy environment. Luckily, when I paid the bill, I found a very kind and attentive lady/young lady, but it was too late to fix that; maybe next time.

17/05/2026: We came in to eat just a grilled meat, but were served an appetizer we hadn't requested (though "I had already prepared it"), nothing special. A mixed roast, just pork in every sauce. We had asked for turcinieddi, but only at the end were we told they didn't have any, so the dinner was disappointing. Not to mention the screaming of the children present (the owner's children), who were not to blame, and the various shouts of reproaches. Let's just say it wasn't a relaxing or tasty dinner.
