09/04/2026: A welcoming place, excellent food, and local wines that remind you of Puglia. Michele, the owner, and his son Vanni are truly special people. They welcome you in the best possible way and make you feel at home.

07/04/2026: We returned yesterday for lunch on Easter Monday. Always beautiful and tidy, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. But one major flaw: there were four dogs inside, one of which was barking constantly and causing a huge nuisance. Lots of people nearby complained. I understand the dog owners' rudeness, but out of respect for the other guests, it would be enough to deny entry. This is just my advice. Excellent service. Great food, but we didn't feel as comfortable as this lovely restaurant deserves.

01/03/2026: It's a pastry shop... with limited seating and no privacy. The place is small and crowded, and you don't even have time for a coffee. It's too chaotic. The desserts are just small, nothing special for my tastes.

The service is very friendly and the place is clean and impeccable. 19/12/2025: Fantastic place for those who want to eat grilled meat. The 'Bombette' are fantastic, a true explosion of flavors and high quality. It's great to be able to see the fresh meat right in the refrigerator. Very friendly staff. Exceptional wine. We drank a magnificent Aglianico. We will definitely be back.

10/03/2026: Sunday family lunch: The food was pretty good, the prices were average, but the real problem with this place was the service. We sat down at 1:30 PM and ordered appetizers, which were finished by 3:00 PM. The main courses also arrived staggered, preventing us from eating together. Overall, we weren't impressed, so I don't think I'll return.

22/03/2026: Dinner was booked for 10:30 PM, and we had the honor of being seated at 11:00 PM. Since we were sitting near the entrance door, which "obviously" had to be opened whenever people left, we also suffered quite a bit of cold. The appetizer was decent, the pizza tasteless, and not very enjoyable, in short. I definitely wouldn't return.

25/09/2025: Excellent pizza and delicious desserts prepared directly by their very friendly and knowledgeable staff who know how to recommend and, above all, are very quick to serve. The appetizer was also excellent; those meatballs were really good. The owner even offered us a amaro. An experience we absolutely will repeat.

30/10/2025: This restaurant will forever remain in my heart. I booked Pentole e Provette to celebrate my 8th birthday with my girlfriend. We've always wanted to try a "higher-end" restaurant, but we never expected such an experience. And I'm not just talking about the food, which is obviously fantastic (spaghettone was the real highlight of the evening), but about the passion, care, and attention that Luca and Rossella consistently and never overbearingly exude, as they describe their dishes with meticulous attention, respect, and truly PLEASURE, or simply as they ask if everything is okay and bring you more bread, because no one should take the bread away from you. They call themselves the "ferrymen" to Michelin-starred restaurants, but as far as I'm concerned, I've never had an experience so convivial yet so full of care, logic, experience, and dedication. We had a chance to chat with Rossella after dinner, and I can only wish them both the best for the future; they deserve it all. ❣️ P.S. Thanks for the surprise 💗

04/04/2026: A place to make everyone happy! Delicious pizzas, excellent meat, and even the pasta dishes were absolutely remarkable. The staff was professional and extremely friendly, all in an extremely beautiful and comfortable setting.

25/03/2026: It was me, my wife, my daughter who is celiac, and our little dog in this beautiful place. I'll start with the atmosphere, which I found to be very well-kept but above all very relaxing in its colors and music. The food was delicious. My wife and I ate caciocavallo with Greek pita bread for an appetizer and the potato in ash, which were exquisite, before moving on to the delicious meat. For my daughter who is celiac, we ordered the classic sausage and the potato in ash, which she loved. Dessert was the icing on the cake: my daughter and I ordered the crema catalana (the best I've ever eaten), one of which the super-kind waitress made a heart for my daughter. My wife, on the other hand, ordered the Ferrero Rocher, which was delicious. Finally, the best part were the two waitresses who served us, who were extremely kind and knowledgeable. The bill was truly excellent for what we ordered. I recommend everyone to go there, and above all, we will be back soon. P.S.: for my daughter, they gave her a sheet of paper with pens and stickers for entertainment, which was much appreciated.

19/03/2026: In my opinion, a venue of this caliber should guarantee consistent quality standards over time. I had already been here for an event last summer and again last October, and I chose to return precisely because I had a very positive overall impression. The location, surrounded by greenery, is undoubtedly its strong point. However, I had the feeling that it almost exclusively focuses on this aspect, without maintaining a coherent identity in terms of the food offerings. We returned because we were satisfied with both the entertainment and the quality of the dishes. Unfortunately, on the last occasion I encountered a different level of service, which did not meet expectations, especially considering the prices. In conclusion, the cake was disappointing. We had requested something simple and classic, but the result was a dessert with an artificial flavor and little attention to detail. In the past, however, we had been impressed by the presentation and quality. In light of this latest experience, I don't think we'll return again.

19/04/2026: A very friendly welcome. A seafood restaurant with meticulously prepared and unconventional cuisine. The house antipasto was generous (consider splitting each portion in two!), with three cold and three hot options. We enjoyed two spectacular first courses: paccheri with cherry tomatoes, artichokes, and cuttlefish, a delicate and beautifully cooked dish; spaghetti with garlic, oil, chili pepper, and bluefish, probably "risottato" (risotto) because of the creaminess of the sauce, with just the right balance between the spiciness and the subtlety of the bluefish. The desserts, all strictly homemade, were also excellent: chocolate and almond caprese and cream millefeuille. We were also given a splendid mandarinetto (a small mandarin cake).

08/04/2026: Nice, quiet place. A good value for money. I'm returning after 6 years with long-time friends, and once again I must confirm that this is a quiet little place, with quality and foresight, demonstrated by a more varied menu that had the desired effect on my fellow diners. Compliments to the staff and especially to the dining room; Mrs. Katia becomes a muse for the various dishes to be churned out in the galley. As I always say, in some cases, enjoy the food as if it were a sunset, and if you like it, tell your friends about it. PS: I RECOMMEND SPAGHETTI 🍝 WITH GARLIC, OIL, AND FILLED SEA BREAM WITH A SPRINKLING OF FLAVORED BREADGRATS, an absolute delight. 18/01/2026: If you want to experience Cisternino's true gastronomic experience, a stop at Zio Pietro is a must. Here, you don't consult a paper menu; you "read" it with your eyes, right at the butcher's counter. ​The Experience: The ritual is fascinating: as soon as you enter, you line up in front of the meat counter. The selection is vast and of the highest quality. It's impossible not to order the famous bombette (cheese-filled capocollo rolls, available in several variations), the livers (gnumeredd), and the knife-point sausage. Once you've chosen your meat, it's weighed and sent directly to the "fornello" (the traditional Apulian vertical oven) for slow, even cooking. ​The Food: The meat is simply exceptional: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with that subtle hint of embers that only a traditional stove can provide. The traditional side dishes are also excellent; I loved the pickled vegetables. ​The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is rustic, welcoming, and authentic. You can feel the atmosphere of old-fashioned shops. The staff is quick and friendly, despite the constant crowds (a clear sign that this place deserves it).

17/01/2026: If you wish to experience freshly prepared, and perfectly grilled meat of Puglia, arm your self with the patient. First you will need to q to select the meat from the butchers fresh counter, afterwards it's the table waiting, and at the end food preparation time. However, it is absolutely worth, because that was the most tender and juicest grilled meat I have tasted.

18/01/2026: We found this place by chance, and I'd say it was a lucky one, as we had a truly wonderful meal. The quality was truly excellent, and the price was fair. The welcome was very friendly, with great attention to detail. We'll definitely be back if we're in the Mesagne area again.
