29/12/2025: We celebrated our daughter Celine's baptism. Everything was excellent! The food is delicious, the dishes are tasty and prepared with quality ingredients. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel at ease right away. The place is pleasant and well-kept. The owners are super helpful and friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place.

20/05/2026: Very disappointing experience. The staff was rude from the moment we arrived and made us feel completely unwelcome. We found hair in the food, and the clams were clearly not fresh and badly overcooked. When we tried to politely explain that we were unhappy with the meal and service, the staff refused to listen and dismissed our concerns entirely. Despite the poor treatment, we were still forced to pay a service fee, which felt unreasonable considering the way we were treated. The overall attitude of the staff made us feel like a burden, even to the point of dropping the menus in front of us without basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had.

17/05/2026: Good food, but very slow and evasive service that does not follow up with customers during dinner. One of the main courses did not come with the others. The waiter noticed it and said - "wait a minute". We waited thirty minutes for it to arrive😔 The service showed no understanding that it was poor service.

09/03/2026: A very pleasant bakery in the old town. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You can try delicious local bread here, including one made with olive oil and olives. Everything is fresh and very tasty. It's definitely worth a visit when walking around Altamura.

10/06/2026: This restaurant clearly benefits from its prime location, which is reflected in its slightly high prices, especially for breakfast. Just across the street, a small, unassuming cafeteria offers more affordable prices and, in my opinion, better croissants. That said, this establishment stands out with a much more extensive menu and a particularly wide selection of sandwiches. Prices remain fairly high, but it must be acknowledged that the ingredients used are of good quality. Ultimately, it's a convenient and varied option, even if the value for money is sometimes less compelling than that of some of its more modest neighbors.

01/06/2026: Poor food, I had a sandwich with capocollo from Martina Franca with rocket and stracciatella and dried tomatoes, the cured meat was aged a week ago, the tomatoes looked like rotten dried fruit, and the stracciatella was water, my friends had other dishes, same thing, place to AVOID!!!!!

20/12/2025: It's not our first time here, but I think it will be our last. The management seems to only push the most expensive products: out of four wines offered, the only one available was the most expensive at €25. We ordered it, and it was the only good thing we ordered. We asked for something to snack on, a crostone, but they offered us a scrocchiarella (also the most expensive) for €15: three very salty bruschettas with dried tomatoes and olives, disproportionate to the other offerings. In the end, they offered us three tiramisu, and when I refused, the waitress insisted, demanding an explanation. I shouldn't have to justify myself for what I don't order, especially given the lackluster quality-price ratio. It's a shame, because the location and atmosphere are beautiful!

26/04/2026: We called on a Saturday evening, there were 20 of us, and they still found seats for us. We had to wait a bit when we arrived, but that's okay. The service was very quick, and the pizzas arrived quickly. They let you choose whether you wanted the Neapolitan or Bari-style pizza, and I have to say it was pretty good anyway. The menu pairings were perhaps a little odd, but the ingredients were good. I had the pizza with finocchiona, which, with the yellow cherry tomatoes, completely covered the flavor. I also tried the one with sage, and unfortunately, the burrata covered everything underneath.

25/04/2026: Customer service needs improvement. Waiters quickly clear dishes so they can finish the next reservation. Total confusion in the dining room, with people having to shout to talk to other diners at their table.

21/04/2026: I've never been there before, this evening for the first time....I'll definitely be back....The pizza is excellent!!! And the staff is all really friendly...the cleanliness is top notch.

04/04/2026: A pizzeria with plenty of seating and the option to order pizza, pasta dishes, or meat dishes. Reservations are recommended and recommended. The food is generally good, especially the thin, light pizzas. Run by Vittorio, the owner, who gives the place its name, he's friendly and welcoming. Prices are average; the only drawbacks are that you often have to wait, and better ventilation would be desirable to absorb odors.

16/08/2025: Don't order through Glovo because if the courier doesn't find the address immediately and Glovo cancels the order, the restaurant won't bother finding a solution, and they'll have no problem leaving you without dinner. I called them to inform them of the problem and clearly complain, and they said, "We can't do anything about it; it's not our problem; you should call Glovo." I'm not a restaurant owner, but in their place, I would have kindly asked the customer to pick up the order and offered a discount for their next order directly at the restaurant. Or, if you think a discount could ruin your business, at least be professional and show empathy and respect toward those who chose you!

29/05/2026: I'm searching for the words to describe the food, the atmosphere, the people, the hospitality, the service, but I can't find a single negative: nothing. Fourteen of us sat down for a family dinner, having made reservations, and were greeted by Angela and Mariella with an unparalleled sense of kindness and hospitality. Shortly afterward, Gabriele came to visit us, and with his charming personality and exquisite professionalism, he explained what we would be enjoying. Well, close your eyes and imagine what must have happened: an endless array of appetizers—seafood, meat, cooked, raw—of unprecedented freshness and deliciousness, both in quantity and quality. The first courses were simply delicious; the second courses were simply fabulous. What can I say: we were incredibly lucky to find this restaurant; these people made us feel like family; we ate a lot and well, in complete tranquility; no one came to pressure us; and last but not least, we paid a fair price. A message for those looking for a good seafood restaurant with a quality-price ratio and staff to match, stop at: RISTORANTE BELUGA SANTO SPIRITO BARI.
