27/03/2026: Fantastic. Everything was perfect, beautiful place and great atmosphere. The food was sooooooo delicious, we especially loved the panko caciocavallo cheese in sweet and sour sauce, but everything else was excellent too. The staff were very kind, friendly, and always smiling. We'll definitely be back, we highly recommend it.

10/02/2026: If you want to EAT WELL without further ado, this is the place. A classic trattoria with simple, modest, humble, family-run seafood dishes...but with mind-blowing cuisine. We ate on Sunday for lunch...a selection of seafood appetizers, all homemade hot dishes, exceptional seafood first courses, and seafood second courses. These, too, were exceptional. Excellent fish. Small, tender octopus. We left without even a single complaint. Only compliments. I don't have any photos because we were too busy trying the food (really). Truly a great experience. 08/02/2026: Nightmare evening, poor quality food. Terrible service. We arrived at 9 PM and the food arrived cold at 11:30 PM. The pizza was undercooked, the meat was tough and cold. The only redeeming feature was the pre-cooked French fries. The salad wasn't good either. The staff was friendly but disorganized.

23/12/2025: Very good food, but do NOT bring children. They are not welcome and we felt very stressed from the moment of walking in and the waiter’s disdain. I took my kids outside while we waited for the first course and he scorned me for the ‘food getting cold’ when we returned only minutes later. The waiter insisted he said it wasn’t a place for children on the phone, which was not clear for us. Great atmosphere and food for an adult only meal.

20/01/2026: Almost four months after our visit to Li Jalantuumene, I still feel the urge to write this review, because experiences like this deserve to be shared. The atmosphere of this little restaurant was simply incredible: a wonderful place in an intimate square, perfect for a special evening with my wife. The food? Nothing short of fantastic. We savored the flavors of the region, while Gegè passionately explained each dish and the details of their preparation. I still remember the pork cheek, the pork belly, the perfect orecchiette, and the appetizer with cold fava bean puree—truly unforgettable. The wine selection was also carefully chosen: an extraordinary bottle of Masseria Maime perfectly accompanied our dinner. A special thanks goes to Gegè for his recommendations on places to visit the next day: thanks to him, we discovered places we would never have found otherwise. This is the classic example of a place and people who make trips memorable. Despite the delay in the review, the memory of this experience remains vivid and special.

06/03/2026: If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I would without hesitation! I highly recommend this restaurant: a place where attention to detail is paramount. The welcome was excellent from the first moment. The manager, Giacinto, was extremely helpful, professional, and attentive to the guests' needs, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable. The dishes are truly excellent, prepared with great care and quality, and the passion and expertise of the kitchen staff are clearly evident. Congratulations to the entire staff for their extraordinary work.

02/03/2026: I went with my girlfriend this evening and we had a seafood appetizer and spaghetti with sea urchin sauce. Not to mention the service: the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. A huge thank you goes out to them for a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back; try it and believe it.

29/09/2025: A lovely, typical Vieste restaurant with an outdoor terrace....The cuisine is simple, but delicious. Compliments to all the staff for their politeness, kindness, and professionalism. We ate wonderfully. I recommend the mixed bruschetta; tomatoes, olive oil, and bread were fantastic. The orecchiette with turnips were mouth-watering. Excellent value for money. Thank you for everything.

15/03/2026: One of my favorite places One of my favorite places, not just in Altamura, but in general. The quality is truly top-notch, and every time it's a unique sensory experience where Chef Donato Calvi amazes you with each of his creations. My favorite dishes are the spaghetti experience, the savory panettone/colomba, the fake risotto, the marrow with tartare, and the gelato with warm brioche. My wife, on the other hand, is captivated by the artichoke with sour cream, but I recommend trying them all because they're truly worth it.

Despite its inland location, the seafood selection was excellent, with fresh ingredients and well-executed dishes. The atmosphere is elegant and very pleasant, ideal for a quiet evening. The staff was courteous and professional throughout the service. I gave it 4 stars only because of some minor inconveniences with the wait times between courses, but overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for good seafood in the area. The quality/price ratio is fair.
