17/08/2024: Found by chance after a walk along the seafront, clean and cool place in the evening, which is no small feat. The food was excellent, from appetizer to dessert, in my case sea urchins, pacchero del day with monkfish, pacchero nero with octopus ragout, zizza della monaca.

17/08/2024: We went for lunch today, very friendly staff and really good value for money food. We had lunch on the patio at the entrance and it was wonderful despite the infernal temperatures, a nice pleasant breeze was blowing. I recommend gnocchi with asparagus, shrimp and clams as a first course

16/08/2024: Very soft dough although the pizza is not thick as the Neapolitan one. They were struggling a lot delivering a decent service probably due short staff. I had to ask for their attention several times. Good prices!

15/08/2024: We stopped in this pizzeria by pure chance, but it was a fantastic discovery, kind and friendly staff, but let's get to the strong point, THE truly delicious PIZZA, as a Neapolitan I complimented it because I hadn't eaten such a good pizza in a long time, congratulations for everything

31/07/2024: Recommended by friends, we booked for dinner on our way back towards punch closed... the menu offers meat and fish... we opted for fish, delicious raw seafood, delicious mixed grill... fantastic tiramisu for dessert... to finish off with limoncello and cherry... friendly, courteous and professional staff…

24/07/2024: This is one of the restaurants that raises expectations by far. Once you have tried the dishes they offer, it will be difficult to find the same quality! Excellent value for money! I won't add anything else. Highly recommended for both fish (top) and meat dishes. Fabulous location. I'm just sorry I didn't take a photo of the dishes, they were too tempting to resist 😅

20/08/2024: We are two guys from Taranto who willingly returned to this place after having experienced a pleasant evening in spring. we had a great time the first time. Impeccable service, excellent quality of meat! (for our palates of course). we were very few tables in May if I'm not mistaken. we promise to bring guests from English relatives who would arrive in the summer. so it was. so we come to this evening. we bring them here enthusiastically. let's order. considering the fact that we really like to know what ends up in our "maws", we ask the waitress what the meat cooking procedure was. He tells us that it is seared first on the griddle and then the cooking is completed "rationally" (as if to take it for granted that the customer knew what it was). We ask what it was and the waitress adds to one of our guests "BE INFORMED!" with an air of conceit. We naturally begin to be annoyed by the lack of education in offering this advice because there are ways and ways of addressing a customer. We stop by the owner who, with extreme availability, stops with us to explain the various times and procedures for cooking the meat. we thank him. Inside our order there were 2 entrees. everything arrives at the table and the waiter tells us, with the entrecote in his hands, the exact words: "this is ONE piece of meat". We therefore ask ourselves whether it was a piece for one or two people. Meanwhile, considering that 5 out of 6 dishes had arrived, the 5 began to dine while waiting for someone to come and clear the table of the dishes already used previously and waiting for someone to tell the sixth diner what he should have had dinner. we explain the inconvenience again to the owner (probably). we are told that they would "make it right". we would have liked to have dessert with as much beer but we preferred to spend our money elsewhere. nothing more arrives at the table, there are no discounts on the bill other than 0.50 cents. therefore at the end of the evening we did not understand what was meant by the term "remedy", not because the remedy is reduced to a simple "discount" but because there could certainly have been different ways to "keep the customer loyal". Sin! I certainly would never do it again, more than 30 km to come to a pub with these carelessness, the province of Taranto also boasts other pubs. let's be clear, it's not a question of "money" also because the first time we also aimed for a nice expensive cut of meat and if it's worth it you can also do it with pleasure. Work is sacred for everyone, therefore we will certainly no longer "leave" two days of work in this place.

19/08/2024: siamo due ragazzi di Taranto che sono tornati volentieri in questo locale dopo aver vissuto una piacevole serata in primavera. siamo stati benissimo la prima volta. servizio impeccabile qualità della carne ottima! (per i nostri palati naturalmente). eravamo pochissimi tavoli a Maggio se non erro. ci ripromettiamo di portare ospiti parenti inglesi che sarebbero arrivati in estate. così è stato. arriviamo pertanto a questa sera. li portiamo qui entusiasti. ordiniamo. considerando il fatto che a noi piace molto sapere cosa va a finire nelle nostre "fauci" chiediamo alla cameriera quale fosse la procedura di cottura della carne . Ci dice che viene scottata prima sulla piastra e poi la cottura viene ultimata nel "rational" (come a dare per scontato che il cliente sapesse cosa fosse) chiediamo cosa fosse e la cameriera aggiunge ad uno dei nostri ospiti " SI INFORMI!" con aria di saccenza. Iniziamo naturalmente ad essere contrariati dalla ineducazione nel porgere questo consiglio perché ci sono modi e modi di rivolgersi ad un cliente. Fermiamo il proprietario il quale con estrema disponibilità si ferma con noi a spiegarci i vari tempi e procedure di cottura della carne . lo ringraziamo. All'interno della nostra ordinazione c'erano 2 entrcote. arriva tutto al tavolo e il cameriere ci dice, con l'entrecote tra le mani, testuali parole : " questo è UN pezzo di carne" . Ci chiediamo dunque se fosse un pezzo per uno o per due persone. intanto considerando che erano arrivate 5 pietanze su 6 , i 5 cominciano a cenare nell'attesa che qualcuno venisse a sparecchiare il tavolo dai piatti già usati precedentemente e nell'attesa che qualcuno dicesse al sesto commensale cosa avrebbe dovuto cenare. spieghiamo il disagio nuovamente al proprietario (probabilmente). ci viene detto che avrebbero "rimediato". avremmo voluto prendere il dolce con altrettanta birra ma abbiamo preferito spendere i nostri soldi altrove. non arriva nulla al tavolo in più, sul conto non ci sono sconti se non 0.50 cent. non abbiamo compreso dunque al termine della serata cosa s'intendesse con il termine "rimediare" , non perché il rimediare si riduca al semplice "sconto" ma perché sicuramente ci sarebbero potuti essere diversi modi per "tenersi fedele" il cliente. peccato! di certo non rifarei mai più,più di 30 km per venire ad un pub con queste disattenzioni , la provincia di Taranto vanta anche altri pub. sia chiaro non è una questione "di soldi" anche perché la prima volta abbiamo anche puntato a un bel taglio di carne costoso e se ne vale la pena lo si fa anche con piacere. Il lavoro è sacro per tutti pertanto due giornate di lavoro di certo non le andremo più a "lasciare" in questo posto.

22/08/2024: Alessandra e Nico ti accolgono in famiglia. In tutti i sensi. Piatti genuini e gustosi, di terra e, talvolta, di mare, a riprova della freschezza del pesce. D'estate il locale dispone anche di veranda che si affaccia sul lungovalle, in aggiunta agli ambienti a piano terra e al piano inferiore. Se sei a Faeto è d'obbligo passarci.

20/08/2024: Siamo andati a pranzo 3 adulti e 2 bambini. Antipasto della casa per 4. 5 primi (3 tagliatelle ai funghi porcini e 2 orecchiette al pomodoro) e 3 secondi (2 agnello alla brace e una porzione di arrosticini) noi avevamo chiesto un agnello in 2 e un assaggio di arrosticini. Un dolce (cassatina di Tommasino 7 euro) 5 bottiglie d'acqua 3 birre. Tot. 176 euro... prezzo esagerato per location e qualità del cibo. Non ci è stato dato nessun menù ma tutto a voce. Quindi in teoria pensavamo non fosse alla carta ma menu fisso. Io sinceramente non ci torno più.

18/08/2024: During the month of July we spent 5 days attending a conference at the Hotel Excelsior Bari. During it we were able to enjoy the comfortable meeting rooms, the facilities and the dining room service, both for coffee breaks and lunch. The reason for the Congress was for our daughter's attendance. Please note that she is allergic to Cow's Milk Protein, both through ingestion and contact, so due to this circumstance we always travel with her medication and food. Although on the first day, perhaps due to language issues, their lunch could not initially be managed properly. We have to quickly indicate that the Hotel staff, room and kitchen service and especially the events manager, Hilaria, to whom we are very grateful, for her dedication, attention and personal treatment. They solved the problem and our daughter was able to eat tasty and very appetizing meals, both at the hotel and on planned outings, safely and without risk to her health. Thank you again to the Excelsior Bari Hotel and all its staff for the effort made to guarantee our daughter's food security.

15/08/2024: Hotel in a strategic position near Bari station and a 15-minute walk from the historic center reachable through the station's underpass. Large room, excellent breakfast.

18/08/2024: Very good meat and pasta with generous portions. Starters to share with excellent quality local raw materials.

29/07/2024: Returning from holidays we went out to Poggio Imperiale, eight km later we reached the town of the same name, it was 1pm no one around, not even a dog. 😁 We reached the restaurant, welcomed by the manager in a fresh and tastefully furnished room. We ordered all the vegetable dishes he proposed: grilled aubergines and courgettes, peppers with onion and sultanas, sautéed chicory with garlic, as an appetizer. All good but I recommend the peppers for those who digest them. First courses: gnocchi with tomato and cacio ricotta, cavatelli with turnip greens, anchovies and high aromas, "slow" sauce but with a little Apulian bread it works out... the coffee is good and this is never a given! We will be back!
