The cuisine is meticulously prepared and uses the freshest ingredients, featuring traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes, often reinterpreted with flair and creativity. Both seafood and meat dishes are particularly popular. The young, friendly, and attentive staff are always ready to offer advice and make guests feel at home. The wine selection is also excellent. A perfect choice for a pleasant dinner, a must-try experience if you're in the area!

06/04/2026: I visited this café on Easter Sunday. The café is clean and well-kept, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It offers a wide selection of pastries to eat in or take away. There are several breakfast items and many cakes on display. The coffee, unlike other places, is good and deserves a 6.5, which is quite a lot, as I'm very picky about coffee.
The café is large enough to accommodate different types of groups. It's wheelchair accessible, and parking is not particularly difficult in the area, even for free.

20/09/2025: You can't get more authentic or better than this in Italy. The restaurant is simple, yet so authentic that you feel like you're in an Italian advertisement for "La Dolce Vita." The food is absolutely fantastic and truly superb down to the smallest detail. This restaurant is the best I had the pleasure of enjoying on my tour of Italy this year. This restaurant is a dream come true for every gourmet and Italy lover.
10/09/2025: Unpretentious atmosphere, attentive and informal service, managed by a host who guarantees authenticity. The chalkboard menu suggests home-cooked cuisine with fresh, interchangeable ingredients, and expectations are fully met. Excellent value for money. The best dinner I've had in Taviano.

22/03/2026: Excellent place for brunch!!! A very kind couple. Even though they don’t speak English, the lady really made an effort for us. For 4 euros per sandwich, it’s worth every cent. I don’t know how we didn’t come here regularly in the previous days. Many restaurants in Bari could be ashamed compared to them!! I wish them all the best!

06/02/2026: Whenever we want to eat excellent pizza (the absolute best among all the pizzerias we've visited in Salento), and not just pizza, we come to Officine Birrai because everything is so good, plus the welcoming atmosphere makes us want to come back. And that's what we do consistently.

06/04/2026: For starters, the Antiche Mura appetizer platter is a must—it's a great selection that lets you try a bit of everything. The oysters were excellent. We also had a pasta as a warm starter, and it was very satisfying.
For the main course, don’t miss the Mura specialty: the fish of the day.
Portions are reasonable, the ambiance is beautiful, the service is attentive, and the prices are very fair for the overall experience.

10/04/2026: Place was overcrowded. 1 hour waiting time for having a pizza. That's way too long. Overall good pizza but wouldn't return, unless they do something for the waiting time.
09/04/2026: We arrived starving and found a varied two-course set menu for €10 plus drinks. The service was incredibly friendly, even though we arrived right around closing time. Everything was wonderful! 🤩

10/04/2026: We stayed here for 2 nights and had a fantastic experience. Excellent hospitality, a beautiful location, and above all, great attention to detail. Close to all the places to visit. The restaurant is also good, but the food prices are a bit high.

22/04/2026: I discovered this restaurant under what I believe is new management. Angelo is an expert host who knows his job well. But above all, he's a good person. He immediately puts you at ease and suggests dishes to introduce you to their excellent traditional cuisine, not out of a greed for sales. As for the food, there's not much to say. Except that everything is excellent, genuine, authentic, and homemade. Borgo Antico is a guarantee. I just recommend booking for Sunday lunch.

16/03/2026: We went for lunch on Sunday. The fish-based menu was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and Maria was very good at recommending the various courses.
They recommended I return for the pizza... Remember to reserve a table, it's very popular.
