02/11/2025: There's no need to rush when warm music suddenly envelops you, and without realizing it, you feel drawn to the place where the sound arises. You enter, and with the harmony of the sound, you're greeted by smiles of a kindness that feels sincere. There's no doubt about the right place to stop for a meal worthy of the setting, enveloped by warm jazz, the tones of stone and tuff. I'm at the Van Westerhout restaurant in Mola di Bari, renowned for its dishes respectful of tradition, enriched by elegant pairings and the pleasure of a taste both ancient and new. 08/12/2025: We immediately felt at ease. Francesco welcomed us with professionalism, expertise, and friendliness. He was able to understand and fulfill our every wish, both in terms of wine and food. The quality of the ingredients and the variety of choices are excellent, so I can only highly recommend him. Thank you, Francesco! We'll be back soon and bring our other friends too!

11/11/2025: Incredible experience! What was a cold rainy day in Alberobello, turned into a magical two hours just trying to take shelter from the rain. Once we were seated, we were greeted by Francesco, the owner of Paco Wines. He asked us what sort of wines we liked and how he could find something we would enjoy. We sort of felt like a little Rosé, so he returned to allow us to sample three different ones. All were great and we enjoyed our first glass. We ordered some light snacks. He returned later to allow us to try some reds. He also made a great effort to get to know us and tell us about his business. He has a great passion for what he does and it comes across. My wife settled on a wonderful Primitivo (the best I had tried in Italy BTW). I got a glass of Negroamario...absolutely stunning. I bought a bottle to bring back home. What an amazing two hours. Francesco was so warm and welcoming. And when we were done and walked outside, the sky was breaking to reveal blue skies. Another Italian miracle!

23/11/2025: We dined at this restaurant last night and were thrilled. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff friendly and attentive to every detail. The dishes? An explosion of flavors: quality ingredients, meticulous presentation, and perfect portions. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back. Kudos to the entire staff!

21/11/2025: The expressive power of this place is the ancient stone quarries where the building material was extracted. Subsequent interventions to adapt the hygiene and sanitary standards, as well as the lighting and air treatment have made this ancient barn a pleasant gathering place!

05/10/2025: An extraordinary selection. All the food is excellent. The owners' attentiveness is an added value. Don't leave Martina Franca without having lunch here. You can't go wrong!

16/09/2025: Quick and tasty meals, home-cooked food, feel like you're at home, except you get to watch others cook. Very basic, you can eat in or take out, and the owners are very friendly.

30/09/2025: What an outstanding restaurant. Not what I expected in Mola Di Bari, would expect this type of restaurant in a large city and I believe it would be very successful. We didn’t really know what to expect when we visited as we hadn’t looked at the menu, we were VERY VERY pleasantly surprised by the menu, the service, the setting and everything about our experience. Our only disappointment is that we only discovered Parla Paino on the Sunday before we returned home. We would have visited on the Monday too, but they were closed. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, it was truly amazing! If Parla Piano was in a big city, I would expect to pay €200-300 for the quality of this setting, service and food! I’ve paid a lot more than that in London and the food has been nowhere near as good as Parla Piano! Please keep up the good work.

07/12/2025: A place like this is hard to find. Here we ate authentic yet sophisticated food, a combination of flavors that leaves you speechless. The owners truly do this job with passion and love, and they pay attention to detail. From the welcome to the coffee, nothing is taken for granted. In fact, I highly recommend it, of course, to anyone who knows how to eat well!

02/12/2025: Authentic peasant cuisine in a beautiful stone restaurant in Putignano. The owners are incredibly kind and passionate about food and natural wines. The ingredients are excellent; their own stone-ground spelt pasta is incomparable in texture, flavor, and rusticity to the white, thick, and industrial pasta served in the vast majority of restaurants. The flavors are bold and strong, with some intoxicating combinations, such as fava beans, wild herbs, and donkey torcinelli, sublime. Finally, the desserts, freshly made by the chef, are natural and low in sugar, and could easily be included on the menu of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The price is even low, considering the quality of the ingredients and the owners' passion. See you next time 🍷❤️

09/09/2025: The place is excellently located, just a few blocks from the Cathedral and the Castle. The food is excellent. Since I'm a vegetarian, Michele was able to suggest and adapt something for me so I could fully enjoy it! Highly recommended!

27/09/2025: The gelato was delicious; I even found a pink grapefruit flavor. The place is very cute and quiet, a small square in a quiet neighborhood. In short, I enjoyed an excellent gelato in peace.

02/11/2025: Simply the #1 in Bari for the quality and variety of the raw materials offered (fish and more), it has now become a staple of my cultural and gastronomic visits to this city, as I am from Turin. The dining room staff is simply extraordinary, yet never invasive, with preparation and customer service. Not to mention the Chef, (in my "humble" opinion) an artistic genius.
